I’ve eaten here a number of times over the years, and though it isn’t my first pick for breakfast in Boise, it’s a good place to go to get a decent breakfast. The staff is friendly, and give good service, though they all seem a bit rough around the edges. The food is great with a good variety of options, good kids menu, but the coffee is absolutely awful. I’d give this place 4 stars if their coffee didn’t taste like hot water with a little bit of coffee flavor added. Their skillet breakfasts with potatoes and eggs are delicious, and my kids love the pancakes. Really bad coffee, but decent food and good service. You could do much worse!

Anytime anyone comes to town or I have to do a breakfast meeting this is my go to place. My friends from Seattle loved it and the portions are huge! If you like lemon poppy seed, the the pancakes with their own lemon syrup. I havent met a person that has tried it(even people not a huge fan of lemon) who didn’t like it. Once you’re in the service is always awesome and the food is always exactly how you ordered it. Amazing selection of breakfast for any breakfast lover! The only downside is the wait most of the time!

Very friendly and good breakfast. Biscuits were awesome. Very soft and fluffy. I will be back. Oh… It was very clean.

Very nice people, but the food wasn’t all that good to me and my wife. The pancakes were very hard to eat due to their consistency.

everything i have tried here has been over-the-top delicious, from biscuits to omelets to french toast.(i recommend the strawberry cheesecake french toast.) the menu is huge and boasts a lot of seasonal and novelty items — and the portion sizes will never leave you hungry. this is one of our regular spots in boise, two thumbs up!

I am a breakfast eating sort of a guy, big surprise, eh? I am the creator of BREAKFASTQUEST! People report encountering breakfasts but are they real, mistaken identity or twerps just trying to get on TV with a cousin named Donny? BREAKFASTQUEST tries to answer these mysteries.

Where ever picky elderly people habitually go for breakfast is where you should be. You literally can get anything and just about everything for breakfast the way you want it. From Frosted flake crusted french toast with raspberry jam to eggs benedict.

This place is great. Good, friendly service. The eggs benedict was perfect. I opted for the tomatoe substitute over hashbrowns. My friend had country fried steak. He loved it, but the cocks on the wall got to him. We will be returning.

Some places take you by surprise when you least expect it, and Egg Factory delivered that«wow» factor to us the first time we went in. The combo of the food, to the service, to the overall first impression just cemented the desire to return. Egg Factory has nailed it, folks. Food: For a breakfast spot, Egg Factory has a surprisingly big menu, with breakfast and lunch options. Whether you’re in the mood for eggs, crepes, pancakes, biscuits, omelets, scrambles, oats, burgers or sandwiches… it’s literally all there. I was particularly impressed tat most of their breakfast choices come with a «breakfast bread,» which is not only toast, but can also be a biscuit & gravy, pancakes, a plain biscuit or toast. Talk about options! The prices were so reasonable. I had the crunch berry oatmeal, which was delicious, and it came with a giant side of pancakes. My husband had the rise & shine, which was plenty for him. Everything was cooked really well and the portions were nice and big, especially for the low price tag. Not only did our food look good, but the food around us all looked delicious as it came out as well. Great job, Egg Factory! Drinks: great coffee & creamer options at your table. Perfection. Atmosphere: It’s nothing fancy, but it gets the job done! The tables are simple and the wall décor is mostly non-existent. It’s like a little joint that was sandwiched in between bigger spots in a strip mall, but man, they make it work! Service: Oh man, the ladies who work there are just the sweetest. They’re the kind of ladies who cater to you, making you feel like a grandchild and calling you«honey» and«sugar.» They made our morning! When we arrived, there were probably 10 tables ahead of us, waiting to be sat. They had us all sat & served within 20 minutes. Great job, EF! Happy Hour Offerings: n/a Healthy Hack: Oatmeal is delicious & plenty for leftovers! Tips: n/a

We just moved here and found this place on Unilocal with pretty great reviews. The Rooster crepes were delicious! If you’ve never had chorizo & eggs before this is def the way to start! The sides were huge as well as the portions so I would recommend sharing. The gravy. Oh heavens the gravy! Please order the biscuits & gravy. Factory potatoes with gravy. Hash browns with gravy… Heck, eat it with a spoon! Really it is that good. And ask for Gaby! It was our first stop in a new city and she was so welcoming. She interacted wonderfully the kiddos, even giving hugs and well wishes when we left. She is def a gem there! This is for sure our regular spot from here on out. :)

Great place and atmosphere just the way it should be. The breakfast is big and hearty to get your day going right, just be warned they aren’t open all day.

Always a hit. Been going for 2 years, and they’ve retained most of the same staff. The line moves quick if there is one… don’t let it deter you. The coffee is rich and delish. The food is ample, hot and flavorful.

I am a fan of the Egg Factory. However, that being said the Boise location was just ok. The food was good but came out a little cold and seemed like it took longer than it should have since the restaurant was not filled and the waitresses were just standing around looking for something to do. The waitresses seemed to be waiting for the crowd that hadn’t arrived yet on a Sunday morning. Which is ok, if you aren’t waiting for drinks. I didn’t get one refill. When I finally asked for refills I had to pay for them for the children’s milk. Since the cups are VERY small I just didn’t feel like it was something that somebody should pay for. Next time we’ll go with soda. I had the new lemon poppyseed pancakes. Very good and unique. If you like lemon poppyseed muffins you will like the pancakes. Very cool. My family thought their meals were ok but the omelette and biscuits and gravy came out cold which just isn’t what we have experienced from the other Egg Factory locations. If you are in the area it would be worth the 20 minute drive to try the Nampa location. That being said it may have been a fluke and it was a better breakfast than what you would get from a Denny’s, Shari’s or JB’s.

This is a solid breakfast place! Not the nicest place in town but not the worst! The staff is alway pretty freindly and what you get for the money is about right. I prefer the egg factory over the big chain breakfast places. Can be a bit rough at times and very busy, but the food is always soild. Breakfast specials starting out about $ 4 or so.

Excited to visit The Egg Factory for the first time. Unfortunately, the service from our waitress really dulled our once a month breakfast outing experience. We were greeted with a lackluster attitude and a «hurry up and order, I want to get out of here» vibe from our waitress. It was rather unfortunate because the restaurant wasn’t exactly bustling and it was our first visit and looking over the menu and the variety of dining options to choose from was going to take more than a couple minutes. The food itself was adequate, although nothing spectacular. Won’t be back.

Yes! If you have not been here you need to check it out! All around 5 stars! This is my favorite type of breakfast spot. Not super nice but because of that prices are great. Staff was really friendly and food was amazing! This was my first visit to The Egg Factory and it was recommended to me multiple times since I moved to Boise. Because I am thankful for the people who recommended it to me, in turn, I recommend it to you! I hope you enjoy your breakfast or brunch and let me know what you think!
