I went in for a Brazilian with Lisa and she was fantastic! It was my first time ever getting a wax down there ever and she was so nice and made me feel so comfortable. She is very good at her job and really good at handling first timers by telling them future maintenance tips and answering any questions you may have! She’s great!!! Definitely recommend Lisa! It is $ 50 for the Brazilian so about $ 60 after tip!

I love Lisa! She is Boise’s waxing expert. She cares and does a fantastic job. I always choose Lisa when it comes to my waxing needs. I can’t speak for the hair stylists… but you know your in good hands with Lisa.

I made an appointment because this place has good reviews and I am not disappointed one bit! I had Dusty do my hair and it turned out Amazing! I have long hair so I got cut and highlight. She took the time to curl it even! I have been getting my hair done for 18 years and this by far was my best experience! I highly recommend!

Amazing work! Brieann did such a great job! I had no idea how to fix my hair and she made it perfect :) Creative ideas and a great eye for detail! Only paid 75.00 for a color and trim! Definitely would recommend!

Kristen is a GOD!!! I researched DV8 in the past and read reviews but never jumped the gun until I ran Kristen at a nail salon and that’s when the hair gods looked down on me! Absolutely a treat to have this bad ass experienced stylist do my hair! Love my extentions and color she transformed me from stripperella into a sexy sassy classy bad ass! Don’t even question if you should make an appointment with her you will truly be amazed!

I see Lisa for my waxing, she is so quick. I get a simple bikini wax and she is done within 10 minutes, quick, professional and I never have any irritation. I tried another salon in Boise and I always had irritation the following day. If you are looking for someone who knows how to wax and does it the correct way, Lisa is your gal.

I have yet to make an appointment here for a cut or color, this review will be based strictly on their waxing service.
I was referred to DV 8 by a friend for a brazilian wax. After a traumatic first waxing experience from a friend (hilarious story, not a great experience), I was super nervous to get a brazilian again. I called and booked an appointment with Lisa. She is really popular within in the industry so I had to book a few weeks in advance.
Now down to the nitty gritty… Lisa can do an entire brazilian wax in 15 minutes. This is the fastest I have ever had a brazilian done… and if you have had one, you know the adrenaline is still pumping, therefore the pain isn’t as terrible. She really is a professional. She has been waxing for over 15 years and she makes you feel very comfortable for such an uncomfortable experience.
If you are in need of a wax, I would definitely refer you to Lisa. If you have some flexibility, I would ask to be put on the wait list for any potential cancellations. One of my girlfriends did that and she got in 4 days later.
The cost of a brazlian at DV 8 is $ 50, so out the door, you are looking at $ 60.

Was referred to Lindsi at DV8 Salon by a friend of my sister’s when I found myself in need while in Boise. My hair cut is short and unforgiving: if it grows out, the shape of the cut is lost. I also get it colored. The salon uses Redken products which I like since my hair color is obtained using that brand’s product. Lindsi is amazing at what she does! She is my go-​to stylist when I’m in the area.

This was the third hair salon I had tried after moving to Boise. I was increasingly frustrated that I could not find a current hair stylist up on the trends. Finally, I tried DV8 and success! I’ve seen Kristen from the beginning and have been so pleased that now my entire family goes here. They are on the verge of opening a massage and nail salon next door and I cannot wait to see how wonderful that is!

This place was great! I have been putting off getting a hair cut since I moved to Boise. I found this place and decided to go. Kristen was the one that cut my and she did an amazing job! She did not get «scissor crazy» which was great. All I got done was layers and side bangs but she did great. I will defiantly be going back. Next time getting a more adventurous hair cut. I will be putting my hair in her hands from now on for sure.

Sandra took great care of me, it was a nice experience and I would love to go again!

I had a Brazilian Blowout from Crystal Alexander. I couldn’t be happier. My naturally curly/​wavy hair has never looked so smooth, shiny, and straight. I recommend this service and this hair dresser to everyone.

I am a blond, and I dyed my hair black for Halloween. I needed to find someone who could fix my mistake. Camie did just that. I have never had my hair dyed by a professional before so she walked me through everything and made sure that I knew what she was doing, and how it would look on me.
I also had it cut. My hair use to be quite long, but I wanted a new look so I had it cut really short. Camie made sure that there were no strays and that it was the right look for me.

When I lived in Boise, it took me 6 haircuts at 5 different salons before I found a stylist that didn’t try to give me a jock-​hawk or a mullet.
Thats really not to say that Boise is unsophisticated… you just have to look a little harder there.
Melissa at DV 8 kept me looking fresh the whole time I lived there. Reasonable prices too. And shes friendly! Bonus-​bonus!
The salon itself is pretty cool too… its not super hipster… more loft-​style sparse. Trust me, its your best bet in Boise… regardless of what people will tell you about Graebers (sp?) or any of the other soccer mom salons masquerading as «high-​end».
And if you don’t like what you get here, you can always cruise over to Neurolux right across the street and drink it off. Even first thing in the morning. Maybe Doug Martsch will be there playing ping pong or something. And he will be all «dont sweat it, dude. its just a haircut».
