I LOVE this place! Kevin does an excellent job at making my beard look as good as it can. Everyone here welcomes you in like you are family and you can tell that they appreciate your business. As soon as you walk in you are being tended to with some water or beer… free of charge! Make sure you make a few appointments ahead of time because they book up FAST!

Love coming here. Kevin is my barber and he does a great job. Everyone is very friendly and for me it’s a very comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. They have great products, the bootlegger is my favorite of their grease line. That said, I like all of their scents and my wife comments on how much softer my beard is.

It’s the best place in town to get your beard trimmed. Make sure you book an appointment at least a month ahead of time. That’s right, a month.

I took my hubby here as a Christmas present. I got him the ultimate beard smith hair cut & beard trim. We also pick up beard grease; Tobacco & Whiskey scent. It’s actually smells subtle and nice! His fav. feature is that they serve you beer while they give you a hair cut. He made the next appointment already!:)))) He’ll be back!

It’s reminds me of those old school barbers who I always see in movies. Everyone there knows their craft and takes a ton of pride in their work. I make this my realist place especially since everything I go anywhere else I pretty much always leave only satisfied not enthusiastic about my cut. Absolutely I recommend!

This place was everything I expected. The walls are adorned with metal art from a local artist, the beer selection is local and the beard grease was the best material I’ve ever put in my beard.
After the precision hair cut I got a hot towel shave with straight razor that looked like my beard was trimmed with lasers. Ryn took my unmanaged beard and made it sexy again.
I would recommend anyone who cares about their hair or beard to check this place out.
The price for the Ultimate was $ 30 and I would have paid $ 40 for the amount of detail that was given to me.

My first trip to the beard smith for a Beard Trim and A Straight Razor head shave. I sat in Karlo’s seat not knowing what to expect. I can tell you he gave me one of the best head shaves I have ever had. Awesome place with awesome friendly staff. I will be returning to see Karlo…

What an amazing place. The owner (s) were so dang friendly and welcoming. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a quality cut. I really liked how Wendy went over what she was doing with my beard shaping and how I could keep my beard in shape by following a few tips. I also bought some of their product that they make in the shop that was under 3oz so I could bring it home on the plane with me. A+++++++

3 months ago when we found out we were coming to Boise, I called and made my husband an appointment at The Beardsmith to get the Ultimate Beardsmithing package. When I had called the girl on the phone told me we didn’t need to make an appointment and to just come in. I told her I wanted to make one because we would only be in town for one day. this morning we show up for his appointment and they say he doesn’t have one. the girl at the counter says «are you sure it’s here?» As if I didn’t know where I made an appointment. I explained to her what I was told over the phone and she said «we would never say that.» well, someone did. The only solution she had was «we can call you if someone cancels» not even an apology, basically just «you didn’t make an appointment.» We drove from Buckley, Washington and someone on your end messed up. Safe to say we are highly disappointed and they need better reception skills.

Wendy, thank you. You are dedicated to men’s styles in a genuine way. I mostly appreciate that you really enjoy what you do! You show as someone who loves the trade. I won’t be going anywhere for any haircuts or beard trims, except for your shop. Now if only you offered BBQ after the service…

I am SO impressed with The Beardsmith. I stopped by one day a few months ago when an online search for beard conditioner showed a local company both produces it and sells it. The day I stopped by, I must have been there for 15 minutes, talking to the ladies that work there about my husband’s beard-​related needs. Wendy even took the time to show me how to use the Beard Grease so I could show my husband how to use it properly. Before I left, I booked an appointment for my husband to get a Beardsmithing. (I purposefully booked it four weeks into the future… don’t worry, there’s not that much of a wait!)
Hubby was very excited for his upcoming appointment and grew out his beard for the occasion. When it was finished, he looked terrific! He had nothing but good feedback to share with me.
Wendy and her team were very knowledgeable and friendly. This is by no means the closest place for us, but it is the best place. Definitely worth the drive from Eagle!
Be aware that it’s not in a strip mall. It’s in a little building that looks almost like a house with a small parking strip on the east side. Also, check in with your Unilocal phone app — we got a free small Beard Grease for doing so.

I finally found a barber that gets my style! I came into the shop with a pic of a pompadour razor fade from the famous Schorem barbershop and Wendy had the same picture! She knew how to cut my curly Hispanic hair and was super fun! She gave me some great tips and they sell some great pomade as well like Prospectors. To my fellow greasers, the search has ended for a classic haircut or beardsmithing with razor sharp style.

Wendy was awesome! I received the Ultimate beard smith haircut and beard trim. Seriously one of the best haircuts I have ever received. She also gave me some great tips on growing my beard and styling my mustache. I will definitely be back again and again.

Came here on my birthday for the «Ultimate Beardsmithing», I was not disappointed. They’ve cultivated an incredibly relaxing atmosphere with the small shop and cozy atmosphere. Both barbers do incredible work; I went to Wendy and you can tell right away the passion and care she has for her profession. I think the word «profession» is very important here. this is not a job for her or even a career; This is her passion. She lives and breathes men’s hair and beards. She takes the same care and attention that a heart surgeon might. It doesn’t matter what your hair or beard look like, she can work her magic and make you look and feel like million bucks. The fade and precision looks she specializes are something that is rarely seen anymore and all the more rare in the lazy hair styles that have been made popular by generation of lazy men. The way she’ll make you look screams old school cool and as sharp as the straight razors she uses. Every man in Boise should make an appointment with The Beardsmith, You will not regret it.
