Great breakfast food. Friendly staff. It was packed but luckily we didn’t have to wait too long. Can’t wait to go back and try everything!

I’d rather have gone to Denny’s. I don’t care how much you claim the home-made jam is the best, I’d prefer individual(and sanitary) packets of Smuckers, compared to community jam jars of contagion. You make such a big deal of the difference between a hotcake and a pancake. Yeah, whatever. But really?!? $ 3.50 for cinnamon toast that is nothing more than whitebread with butter cinnamon and sugar ?!? That’s what poor people eat and it’s not worth that price. In fact the whole meal was overpriced. $ 29 breakfast for 2, plus tip. Expensive, and just mediocre food.

One of my favorite places for breakfast. Employees make it a point to learn your name and greet you personally. I love to watch the staff work together – very positive and team-oriented! They always seem to be happy to be there. Food is consistently good and daily specials are creative and approachable. The hot cakes are not pancakes and have a distinctive texture and flavor. If you love buttermilk pancakes, these hot cakes may not be your thing. Give them a try – just don’t expect a buttermilk pancake. But, you can’t go wrong with the French toast or the Belgian waffle! Lunch items are delicious with the hand-cut fries a real treat.

Every single time I’ve come here the waitress’ are always so nice and my food is always perfect and consistent. They have both a lunch menu and a breakfast menu m, but My favorite thing to order is the French toast combo. There’s just something about their French toast that has me always wanting more. I don’t know if it’s the bread they use or the batter they use but it touches my tastebuds like they’ve never been touched before. I love this place and will always come back, even though the wait time for the food to come out is a bit long. That just means it’s fresh and made with extra love.

I LOVETHEGRIDDLE!!! The food is worth the wait on busy Saturday and Sunday mornings. Everyone that works there is friendly. The food is always on point! My favorite is the savory crêpe… I love going for breakfast with my husband and friends!!!

I honestly think this is the best place to get breakfast/brunch in the area. I’ve tried other places in Boise with stellar review for similar type of food, but I keep coming back to The Griddle! FOOD: I’ve had a variety of menu here. My go-to menu when I’m not feeling fancy schmancy is just the combination of 2 eggs+bacon+peach crêpe. It never goes wrong! I also like to enjoy their freshly squeezed OJ with my meal. It really is freshly squeezed and not something that comes out of a box. I’ve tried the eggs benedict, salmon scrambled egg, and other things that I can’t think of. Everything is delicious! PLACE/AMBIANCE: I’ve been here with a group of friends(5 – 7 people), with my boyfriend, and by myself. I must say, there’s a place for everyone! There is usually a long line during the prime time for brunch(~10−11A) so my suggestion is to come early or a little later if you’re a group of 4 or more! If you just want to enjoy a good breakfast on your own, the bar almost always has a spot for you. The restaurant complex has a big parking lot, which makes it super convenient too! SERVICE: I have to admit that on 1 occasion when I came in as a group, a friend of mine experienced bad service. Long story short, there was misunderstanding when his order was taken and what he ended up getting charged for. It wasn’t solved very well either. But I still gave them a second chance after that and I’ve never experienced more bad service. For sure I will keep coming back!

What a gem! This place has all the breakfast favorites and more! I ordered the corned beef hash and my date ordered the fruit granola waffle. Both were great! Granola on a waffle, who knew it could be so tasty? The corned beef favored a more meat to hash ratio which I appreciated. Many places give you a lot of hash and little beef. The server was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about different specials and menu items, and was consistent with checking in on us to make sure we had all we needed. The interior was bright and just what you’d want to experience in a breakfast dinner visit: welcoming, warm, and reminiscent of all things breakfast. Overall, this place has instantly become one of my Boise breakfast favs! Will be returning soon.

Very good breakfast spot. Loved the fresh-squeezed OJ. I got the Dave’s Take On Joe, which was very good. The tzatziki sauce was a great touch. Service was good and food came out quickly.

Overpriced for what it is, just incredibly average food and the service is not all that great either. Typically loud and Crowded for some reason, and Usually long lines and waits on weekends. The last time I was there, When it came to be our turn to be seated, The grumpy manager yelled at my boyfriend because she said he didn’t write his name on the wait list clipboard even though he did… Weird because this place is not important . Anyway, i think the best thing about the place are the mimosas. Pretty good in size, made from fresh squeezed oranges with lots of champagne. There are a few much better places to eat and spend money at in town.

Enjoyed this place very much! Our server had a wonderful personality and was spot on with everything. Fun atmosphere too. Thankfully we didn’t have to wait but we got there early on a Sunday. Get their coffee! It is special made for the Griddle and you can’t buy it anywhere. I had three cups which isn’t like me. Next time, I will have 4! My friend had an eggs Benedict and another friend and I had the special loaded potatoes. I am thinking I didn’t order the right thing, meaning, I have heard rave reviews about their food but mine was just good, it was just breakfast. Next time I plan on trying one of their speciality waffles, crepes, or french toasts. Then I will probably have to eat my words and repost 5 stars! As I was eating my eggs and potatoes I saw several sweet treats pass my table. They looked delectable! Next time that french toast and I have a date!

We had a long wait but it was worth it. Our waitress served us with a smile. Our orders did not took long to arrive. They have the best freshly squeezed orange juice. After we ate. I could not believe the hostess remembered my name and ask how my breakfast was. Amazing service!

In town visiting relatives and they said that coming to The Griddle was a must. The reviews were all good and yes there is a wait. We went to the coffee shop next store to hang out. They found us there and let us bring our coffee with us! I had the pecan crusted maple bacon French toast. I know it’s cliché to say it was amazing but it really was. But what ever you end up getting here will be top notch. They had home made blueberry jelly that was full of flavor but not over powering. Our server April did an outstanding job of taking care of us. She was prompt in taking our order and knew the menu very well. She answered all of our questions and got our food out quickly. Can’t really ask for more! If you’re in the area make sure to stop by but get there early to avoid the wait!

Long wait but was worth it. Good food that is made in house. I had the chicken fried steak and it was very good. Son had the blackened Mahi Mahi eggs Benedict and wife had the corned beef hash. All meals were devoured and tasted fresh and we’ll made. Plan ahead as this is a popular place to go but again it’s worth the effort. This is actually a 4.5 star review… I took off half a star because another party with same first name took our seat ugh… but they accommodated us quickly.

Try the corned beef hash it’s home made and awesome. Great staff and atmosphere. Don’t worry about the line they push people through here very efficiently. Hot cakes with bananas were also delicious and everything right down to the iced tea is fresh and made with care.

We stopped here for breakfast on our trip from Portland to Yellowstone. The servers were so friendly and welcoming. They had great senses of humor and out up with mine and my wife’s. The atmosphere was great. Very«dinerish» and had the comfiest chairs. I’m a big guy, so that’s important to me. The food was exactly what we were looking for. Go somewhere else if you’re looking for mediocre breakfast food.(I’m looking at you, Denny’s). My wife had the Pecan waffle combo and could barely finish it. I finished it for lunch. ;) I had the chicken fried steak which was hand breaded to order. The gravy was amazing and the steak was melt-in-your-mouth tender. The hash browns were also good and crispy like I like them. Overall, if I ever find myself in Boise again, this will be a regular stop! Thanks!

Visited to power up before Race for The Cure 2015. I continue to support this particular location of The Griddle over the Eagle location. They had(and I tried) the salmon breakfast special that others have spoken of and it’s wonderful! Had another taste of the Chorizo Benedict too, just wonderful! Our sever Lindsey was the total package, personable, friendly and a wonderful ‘caretaker’ for us as her guests. I’m looking forward to going back. I think there are waffles in my future!

We went here today(Sunday) at around 2 pm and got a table right away. We ordered : 1. Spinach, feta, tomato & basil omelette with hash browns and English muffin 2. Hot cakes(pancakes … Just thicker) 3. Gourmet Oatmeal 4. Beer mimosa The order came out quickly, the serving size of omelette(whole #1) was small. The hash browns tasted okay and English muffin was regular. Hot cakes(please) seemed undercooked from the inside and tasted weird. Gourmet oatmeal was good(my friend said) I had Beer mimosa for the first time and it was good(not a regular beer drinker though). I have had the whole combo of eggs, hash browns and toast at so many places that the good and bad stands out! Overall I might try this place again … Not sure! Though I have heard better things about their non vegetarian food options.

Best french toast I’ve ever had. Waitress was really great. Love places that have coffee for when you wait. Only reason I gave a 4 star is that when we arrived I asked if they were seating outside and was told no. After a 15 minute wait, another waiter seated someone out there. Also, no hostess, just a clipboard where you put your own name. And counter seating should be first come first serve, it is one of the few places where it isn’t. If they had an amazing hostess who knew whether they were seating outside or not, would have been 5 hands down.

Have eaten breakfast here a few times over the past couple of months, so far the food is very good and have not been disappointed with anything I have ordered. The food is slightly higher priced than my favorite place(Goldy’s) but the wait here is a lot shorter. The hollandaise sauce is also not as good from my experience, even the chorizo benedict with spicy hollandaise was missing something. The red flannel hash is very tasty and the waffle with berries and granola is also very good.

Mostly, my experiences here have been A-OK. California omelet? A-OK. California Benedict? A-OK The service? A skosh on the slow side most mornings – but overall A-OK. What falls below the mark: –The coffee. I mean, diner coffee isn’t usually fabulous. But, even for diner coffee… meh. What hits above the mark: –One morning they had a «Salmon Special,» which was a salmon scramble smothered in Hollandaise with a sprinkling of capers that was 4 star fabulous. –The interior is darling and impeccably clean. Is it the best breakfast in town? No. But, they’ll get the job done with adequate service and solid diner fare at reasonable prices. And, if they’ve the salmon scramble – by all means, my people, order it!
