This was a nice place to enjoy dinner while sitting dockside on the back waters in Bonita. All the baskets and dinners were reasonably priced. We we were eating dinner we saw some Dolphins feeding in the water from a distance. What an experience! I would recommend this restuarant if you have visiting family from out of town. It will give them a good taste of southwest Florida. My mom was with us a few months ago and while eating dinner she started to get a little dizzy from watching the water. We told not to look at the water constantly lol! still a nice place to have dinner.

Great spot on the bay, good ‘tender, Emily, and just had a wonderful waitress by the name of Amelia, she did a fabulous job. Food Is great, priced fairly. Don’t forget happy hour 3 to 6 summer hours.

The food is good enough but the prices are higher than one would expect. I had the blackened scallops and my wife had the blackened grouper. Both were above average. And valet parking was required on a Monday night.

Fish and Chips awful sent it back and got a burger. Burger good, fries so so. Over priced, paying for the view which is nothing special. Gave it three stars because of the good service.

Meh. I’m a local and have been here a lot. It’s a great little place to take visitors so they can sit by the marsh(not the ocean, folks) and watch breathtaking wildlife(egrets, great blue herons, pelicans, jumping mullet, the occasional manatee or dolphin). But the food is just ok, especially for the price. Again, I have been here quite a bit and enjoy bringing out of town guests, but it’s not at the top of my list for outings on a regular basis. Beautiful views, decent service, ok food. Desserts are pretty outstanding though — key lime pie and coconut pie… mmmmm. And I don’t have a sweet tooth! If you are from out of town you’ll like this place; it’s worth a stop in.

I had been wanting to try this place for awhile, and we stopped by just for a drink and appetizers. The clam chowder was ok but the shrimp cocktail was overcooked and rubbery. The entrees are very pricey. On the other hand, the service was fine and you could tell the sunsets would be beautiful. Nice, if you want to go some evening and don’t mind paying $$$.

Pretty good overall. It was a little pricey, and I thought the mandatory valet was a little weird. I wish it was right on the beach like a few of the places right down the stree.

What can I say? It was busy, but we got right in, sat on the dock waterside and loved it. Crab cake was great as was the bloody Mary! Would go again when I get a chance to be on the west side!

While we enjoyed our meal here, it was pricier than 2 money signs! Here’s the run down of what we had: Drink: Coconut cream pie martini — not as sweet or rich as it sounds, a bit of a let down Appetizer: coconut shrimp — awesome, especially with the sauce. $ 15 for 8 pieces Dinner: the grouper stuffed with crab and lobster. Honestly, I couldn’t taste any crab or lobster. Just cheesy warm stuff. It was alright. I didn’t care for the rice at all(it was hard) that it was served with, the veggies(zucchini and carrots) were fine. Dessert: key lime pie & coconut cream pie. The key lime he more flavor and was better, both were alright. With one more cocktail, our dinner was just short of $ 90 before tip. We shared that app and entrée between the two of us. 3 money signs! Ambiance was pretty nice and it was easy to get to and the food came out SUPER fast! I’d probably visit again but I wonder if it’s a super touristy spot. Hm.

This place is really fun. I highly highly recommend sitting outside by the water! It’s situated on a lovely estuary and is pretty magical at sunset. The menu has a lot of variety. So, I can imagine repeat visits would be in order if I was not visiting from WI. The seafood looked super delicious and the friends I was with were very impressed. I can’t really speak from personal experience because I am a veg that doesn’t even eat fish. I had the taco salad without ground beef(it was a very good taco salad). This place does not claim to be vegetarian friendly, so it looses no points in my eyes. Other fun thing, they valet your car. Because their parking lot is pretty limited and they need to accommodate a ton of humans and cars, they just handle the parking situation for you.

Very nice young staff this place holds. Sometimes you worry when a restaurant has young people working but this is not one of them. The view is also great. It is technically a swamp but being able to see the sunset gave it a very homey touch. The food was excellently prepared, for me it was the Mahi Mahi sandwich. I also had their key lime pie for desert. It was excellently prepared and delivered. The pie itself was okay but not the best I had. That title is held by Mimi’s café in California. Overall my #1 recommended restaurant in the area of Bonita Springs.

Wish I had read more of the reviews on here and other sites This is not eating on true waterfront aka Gulf/Ocean This is eating by a swamp with algae and lots of insects The place is like many beach restaurants that count on cashing in on tourists Prior to visiting Florida, I had only written 2 negative reviews So disappointing and frustrating I do not like sticky surfaces, dirty menus, hairs on napkins or dirty silverware Long waits for even water Server said she would be right back several times and each time, it was long wait Do not understand the full parking lot and lines other than if they too are mostly 1st timers or do not care about food quality and attentive service

The epitome of a four-stars-on-Yelp restaurant. Good choice if you’re visiting the area. I came for lunch with three other friends, and we all left satisfied. MAMBOMAHITACOS: I ordered these and liked them. There were three tacos with black beans and creole rice on the side. I can’t pinpoint exactly what made them so good, but liked that there was an array of different flavors within the tacos. I asked our waiter for hot sauce on the side, and he brought me some of their house hot sauce, which was mango-flavored and pretty mild. I liked the tacos a lot more with the sauce because the bare tacos were a bit plain for my taste, so if you’re looking for an extra kick, add some! Altogether they were good, but felt pretty expensive for what I was getting(both quantity and quality-wise). COCONUTSHRIMP: Super good! These were definitely the winner in my opinion. The sauces this dish came with(site says raspberry melba and mango coulis) complemented the shrimp wonderfully. The coconut flavor in the breading really shone through and added a great depth to the shrimp… Highly recommend if you’re a fan of coconut. The shrimp were battered to perfection. And it came with a side of fries, which were a good size, portion, and well-seasoned. The only downside was the $ 17 price tag. SERVICE: Waiters, ours included, were affable and chattery, which I appreciated. Definitely helped perpetuate a more laidback, casual vibe. Service wasn’t spectacular, but no major complaints. It feels like a really busy place which renders the hands-off service more understandable. Even though our waiter seemed fairly occupied, I could tell he was still making a solid effort(was repeatedly back to refill our waters, checked up on us mid-meal, etc). He was able to split our check four ways at the end of our meal, which I also really appreciated. AMBIANCE: Outdoor seating was really nice and felt hella Florida. We were seated outside by the water and it was breezy, well-lit without being in direct sunlight, and altogether just really comfortable. Can’t really speak for indoor seating, but it seemed a lot more tourist-y indoors(tourist-y décor, a wall lined with t-shirts for sale, etc). Definitely recommend the outdoor seating if it’s a nice day out. Overall a really sweet spot if you don’t mind the overpriced menu. It’s a chill and casual spot with friendly workers and a nice view that serves up some pretty good stuff — can’t really go wrong with this place if you’re nearby.

I’m giving this spot 5 stars within the category of: EXACTLY what you want when you are vacationing or wintering in Florida! I’m talking thatched roof. I’m talking umbrellas and fruits skewered in drink. I’m talking spot-on coconut shrimp. And I am also talking the things you’re looking for in any restaurant for that matter. Our server was especially friendly and helpful. The menu included 4 palatable options for the kids; mine both ordered fish and chips, which were fresh, crispy, and flavorful. There was a fried peanut butter and jelly offered that intrigued me, but I will have to keep wondering what looks like in person! Our group of 9 was greeted by friendly and efficient valets and we were seated immediately. My «goombay smashed» cocktail had #alltherum and tasted like happiness. Everyone enjoyed their food, from the nibbles of juicy fish sandwiches I got to sneak bites of, to the attractive fish tacos some of us ordered, to the coconut shrimp and sweet potato fries I ordered(and ate every last bite of!). Go ahead, pay $ 2 extra for the sweet potato fries. This is not haute cuisine. It’s Floridian fish-forward beach food. And it’s gooooood!

Stopped by to eat but only had a drink. Much more of a chain feel than expected. Nice restaurant but not a place I personally like to hang out at. The place is packed so I assume the food is good.

Lunch for 2. — Ambiance(4⁄5) Nice views of the water. Interior décor is a bit dated but fits the theme. — Service(3⁄5) Enthusiastic and eager, though a bit scatterbrained. Chalk it up to inexperience. — Strawberry Mango Swirl(5⁄5) Very refreshing. And, though embarrassing, the whole umbrella/cherry routine made my day. — 12 Oysters on Half Shell(3⁄5) Fresh but not cleanly shucked. — Peel n Eats(5⁄5) Delicious, firm texture. — Conch Chowder(2⁄5) A bit like canned soup, very few pieces of conch. — Blackened Grouper Sandwich(3⁄5) Would have been superb, but it came missing the house remoulade. Of course, I wasn’t entirely sure if I remembered correctly, so we asked for tartar sauce. Remoulade would have been better. — Value(3⁄5) The drink was a bit expensive. And the oysters were a tad on the expensive side as well. — Final Word Great views of the water. Fine place for some casual dining. Execution leaves a little to be desired.

This is one of my favorites in Bonita Springs. I love the lobster & crab cakes so I was happy to see them in the form of a sandwich on their new lunch menu! This particular visit was a weekday lunch with coworkers. Service was fast and thorough. Food was yummy as always. For those who have never been here: valet is mandatory, this is a great water view restaurant, and the seafood is fresh but not cheap.
