Disappointed. Food was greasy and sub-par. The view of the water is limited from most seats in the house. Only one toilet for each men and women… Not quite enough for a bar! At least the drinks are great and the staff are friendly.

Convenient location on the beach. They have valet parking which is cool, but you’ll need guilty cash for tip. You’ll also need cash for your dinner, which for the fare was a bit expensive. There’s an ATM in the upstairs bar. The chicken fingers and fries were $ 13. It was well done though. My wife got the fish and said it was cooked well too. The server was ok.

I was skeptical about going to Doc’s seeing an average of 3 star review rating, but now we are regulars. The beers are ice cold, the mimosa’s are wonderful, and they are known for their served after 4:00PM pizza… which is a thin crust loaded with cheese and pepperoni. The sunsets are phenomenal… everyone appears to be in a trance when the sun goes down. We love Doc’s!

Really awesome spot right on the beach. Parking can be a little hairy, but their valet is great. They’re cash only, and it’s the kind of place where you run up to the window to get your stuff instead of them serving you. The tacos were awesome. There was plenty of seating there. I would have spent many more hours than I did if I had the time. We went to several restaurants on the same strip and this was my favorite.

This is just a great place on the beach. The only knock about Doc’s is that they only take cash! We have grilled fish tacos and the bang bang sauce they put on the tacos is bang up! It’s got quite a kick. The veggies they put on the tacos are fresh! It is a very nice dish and was very filling. The outdoor bar area has smaller menu items and beer, wine and I think spirits of some sort. What the family enjoys is the pizza. It’s very Chicago style and fun to sit on the beach on the concrete tables and benches to watch the sunset. It’s really a great place and the valet parking is a very nice touch! Some of the prices are up there, but hey, it is the only place on the beach. If you want to catch the sunset or hang on the beach and a good bite to eat, stop at Doc’s the folks at Doc’s are alway friendly! They do a great job with your order and take pride in preparing your food. Enjoy Doc’s they even have seating upstairs which we have never been to because sitting on the beach is the spot for us.

The ONLY saving grace for this place is the location. The food came on paper plates, the iced tea/all drinks in styrofoam cups and plastic silverware. The waitstaff is all grumpy and over the hill and not attentive in any way. It’s a very low budget set up. The accept CASHONLY beware. So the ATM does charge and arm and a leg obviously! The food wasn’t that great, bland, and I think the only reason we actually bothered to sit through the rough treatment was because we were soon hungry. Won’t return and will tell everyone to not bother.

Walked up Bonita Beach last Saturday after a morning in the sun at the recommendation of a colleague and discovered the quintessential beach grille — umbrella tables on the beach, a beach bar serving $ 4 beer and the best burger I’ve had in a long time — top quality beef, a good 1⁄3 pound on an oh-so fresh bun. $ 15 for beer and burger — a bargain with a view to match. Nice.

Snobs — please go somewhere fancy. Your sour pusses and offensive cologne is a no go. Doc’s has a warm cozy relaxed comfortable feel with great views and sits on the beach. We are local and go about once a month for the view. When family or friends visit they always want to go also for the laid back, friendly atmosphere and Pizza. The food is not the best but the Pizza is good. The staff is excellent ! Sandy(LIKETHEBEACH) is friendly, fun, quick and attentive to service. Never disappointed !

Made a special trip to this restaurant based on reviews. Don’t make my mistake! Whereas it’s a nice beach location, it definitely is not worth all the trouble. Parking is a nightmare. They have valet parking and one of them(older gentleman) is EXTREMELY rude. Fortunately a different valet helped us get back out. Our table tried a little bit of everything of the menu and nothing was impressive. Our server was very nice. We ate upstairs inside but I think outside on the beach would have been better. Another drawback… CASHONLY. Be prepared or if you drop in, they actually have an ATM on site.

Much to my dismay, this place turned out to be a Pizzeria, decked out in Chicago memorabilia, tucked away on the beach with breathtaking views of the sunset. Yes, I know, not what I was expecting either. Nonetheless, this is the type of place you come to drink, watch the sunset, and enjoy good company. I was not all that impressed by the few things I’ve tried here, such as the fried seafood baskets, calamari, or shrimp cocktail, but maybe i should’ve just gotten the pizza. Back to the standout, that sunset. Get there early, because you can snag a table along the shore side which provides great views of the water. Or, if you want your toes in the sand, there is a bar on the ground floor on the outside that you can hang at.

Went here for breakfast on vacation. Service was pretty good, but food was mediocre and mimosas were way over priced. When I pay $ 8 a pop, I don’t expect them to come in tiny flutes. I don’t recommend coming here for breakfast, just come for a drink and then hit the beach. But make sure you get dropped off, as they will make you move your car if you want to go to the beach after you eat. Overall, very disappointing…

I’ve been coming here for over 18 years. My Florida tradition, sometimes 3 – 4 times per year but no more. $ 22.59 for an Appetizer of fish fingers and two draft beers. Not worth it. Go to Coconut Jacks!

Great location to see the sunset! If you dont want to pay for public parking, park across the street at the condos for free.(It says tow away zone, but if you’re there for just a bit, wont matter) There was a crowd there on the beach the night we went. Everyone cheered when the sun disappeared. Lots of folks taking pictures. The restaraunt however was less than desirable. The service was not that good from the hostess to the waiter, and the food was only average. Not worth the price. It’s a cash only restaurant too.

The only thing they have going for them is that they are right on the beach. They sell food, drinks and rent chairs and paddle boards. They have zero competition. The food and drinks are overpriced and below average quality. We sat at the bar and were pretty much ignored, and when someone did come over they acted like we were an inconvenience. They are also a Cash Only establishment making it even more inconvenient for those who don’t like to bring a lot of cash to the beach. There are lots of great restaurants in Bonita Springs, enjoy the beach and then go eat somewhere else!

Great spot right on the beach. Serves wine, beer, and all three meals a day. Can rent umbrellas and chairs and JetSki’s water boards. Please note they do not except credit cards. Cash only!

For a place on the beach I expected better food. Calamari overcooked and stuck together, Fish tacos unflavored fish with bag type salad on top with cheap cheese oh forgot to mention ice cold, chicken wings were ok if you like deep fried chicken with generic bottled sauce. Place hasn’t been updated & or cleaned in years. THEVIEWISGREAT although no beach type cocktails as it only serves beer and wine.

Bring your cash! Typical low-key dive on the beach. Food was passable, service ultra-casual. If all you are looking for is a meal with a view, then this place fits the bill for sure. We missed breakfast(ends at 10:30am) and couldn’t order the famous pizza(only available after 4pm). A quick scan of the menu didn’t excite me but we had heard the grouper sandwiches were great. It’s weird that this is something people rave about and I couldn’t find it on their menu… secret item maybe? I had the grouper sandwich blackened and it was in fact delicious. The fries that it came with were thick cut style and hot out of the fryer. They never cooled off and I burned my mouth on them. Service was fine. We were greeted and served quickly enough, but having been at the restaurant during a low time the entire staff was sitting at the bar having loud conversation. That definitely hampered our experience. Even in the restaurant, beers are served in 12-oz(although they seemed smaller) plastic cups. Given that, I think their prices are off for beer. The beach seating is a nice feature but your view is blocked by a seadoo vendor. I can see why no one in Bonita raves about this place and would rather bring a picnic to the beach. Just keep your expectations low.

Nice location at the beach. We had pancakes with blueberrys. They where freshly made. The staff was very friendly. It is not possible to pay with plastic, you have to pay with cash.

Terrible service and extremely RUDE valet parker! Good location and lovely view of the beach. Everything is is downhill after that! It starts with the valet being aggressive and completely unreasonable. He would not let us take our towels to sit at the beach bar/café, we were forced to leave them in the car. I was there with 5 other people, we were going for lunch and drinks. Of coarse being a beach bar right on the beach we were going to swim and hang out drinking and eating. I have never heard anything so ridiculous. We spent over $ 100 at the place and were not able take our towels to sit on the stone seats. The other idiotic thing is they take cash only, it’s not a cheap deli or fast food place. They charge $ 13 for a fish basket and premium prices for drinks. Also no outside service it’s self service all the way. First trip to the bar $ 39 and second trip $ 49 for sandwiches then third trip $ 35. What a shambles! Bland food to boot. At least we got to swim in the ocean and drip dry!
