Pizza and beer no better combination that the two of theses. The craft beer that the brewery makes its deft great with a combination of the pizza from the food truck 10 points all the pizza is flavorful together with the bold flavor of the beer makes the perfect match. I highly recommend this place.

Good Beer, Friendly staff, and Great atmosphere, overall a great place ! Although the food truck menu is definitely short and should be expanded. The biggest negative about this place is their gender neutral bathrooms«humans»!!! This cost them three stars !!! We have visited AMB on many occasions when there were separate bathroom facilities, so this was not our first time there ‚ now because of gender neutral facilities, men can piss all over the toilet seat in what was the women’s bathroom, my wife was not willing to use a restroom In this condition, and there is no way the staff can police and clean the bathrooms as often as needed. We will choose to not go back to AMB

Great Beer, Great Atmosphere, and Great Food from Farm to table truck, But their gender neutral bathroom position makes it difficult for any self respecting lady to use the restroom when, You go into the restroom and there is pee all over the toilet seat and the floor around the toilet, We must all remember that all men ARENOT Gentlemen !!! This will cause me to not patronize the AMB or any other business that maintains a gender neutral bathroom, without MAINTAINING the bathroom …

My favorite local brewery of anywhere I’ve ever lived! This place is clearly so strongly committed to community and sustainability while simultaneously brewing some of the best beer and cider around. The staff is friendly, the interior is covered in really beautiful local art/murals. The bathrooms are not gendered. AND, the solar pizza truck makes some of the best wood-fired thin crust I’ve had. PLUS, they have two nights a week where pints are only $ 3. Way to be, AMB!

Note that this place is a bit off of the main drag. After following the GPS we weren’t quite sure we were in the right place. Stopped into AMB late on a Friday afternoon. It was pretty quiet when our group of 10 arrived. The place gradually filled up until we left around 5:00. The majority of the time we were there there was just one bartender. We tried to make it easy on her by getting pitchers to sample. Eventually our group sampled almost everything on tap I believe. My favorite was the No Nose Gose. Salted, Ginger and Lemongrass infused Gose. I’m not sure I got the full depth of flavor that they described but I do love a good tart Gose and this one lived up to the reputation. I dig this place and would return next time I’m in Boone.

We got to AMB as it opened at 2 pm on a Monday. The bar staff were very friendly and offered a ton of samples(which of course, we obliged most of the time). Usually we have to ask. My favorite beer by far was the C.R.E.A.M Doughnut Cappuccino Nitro Milk Stout. Yes, this beer is every bit as delicious as it sounds. They also had a new Imperial Stout series called Edge of a Dream which was pretty cool. We ended up getting a flight of those as well. The taproom gave you the log cabin feel. Especially the bathrooms(is that weird to comment on the bathrooms. oh well). A very laid back vibe that you can tell the same folks likely hit up all the time! Diggin it.

The man and I came here after going to a few other breweries on our Christmas vacation and we just weren’t impressed. Their beers were Ok, but nothing that stood out at all and we definitely had better at the other breweries(I’m looking at you, BooneShine Brewery). We did like the CREAM stout, however. They definitely were crowded and we just happened to be able to snag a table, but there were a lot of people standing around because there wasn’t enough seating. We tried a pizza while we were there, too from the truck. They have other offerings, but we were disappointed to learn they were ONLY doing pizzas and they had run out of pulled pork(one of my fav things). We settled on pizza that was supposed to have pulled pork which they replaced with chicken. It was pretty good, but small for the price and we were still hungry after. Next trip to boone, I won’t go back– I’d rather hang at BooneShine or Lost Providence.

Loved the Black Gold brew! Great combination of flavors, not overpowering. If you’re a fan of porter beers, can’t go wrong with this one! Best pizza as well! Have to recommend the«Shitchyeah» pie!

An awesome little brewery in a great little mountain town. I visited for the weekend from Raleigh and was pleasantly surprised to find this place. The beer on tap was great, especially the white stout. I would definitely recommend this place as a stop during a visit to Boone!

Appalachian Mountain Brewery is a really cool brewery, located conveniently and very close to the Boone Mall. My family was in Boone for the weekend so we decided to check the place out. We were here on a Friday afternoon and the place was packed! It took awhile to find a spot to park and there was a line to get beers that had around 30 – 35 people in front of us. However, this gave us time to look at their menu. They had a good number of drafts available, 10+. They also had a variety of ciders which was nice for those who don’t like beer. I went with one of their seasonals, a sour. It was a tart, tasty beer. My husband tried a white IPA and one of their saisons. We were here with family and everyone liked their choice of drinks. The only thing that I did not like about this place was how hard it was to find seating! But this is nothing against them, as it is clear this place is just really popular. They have a nice seating area outside that is good for when the weather cooperates. The people that work here are really nice and the place is dog friendly! When in Boone be sure to check out Appalachian Mountain Brewery!

This place is my jam. Whether you’re local or not this was the first place we came to when we decided to move to Boone and this is now our favorite place to go. And the food truck! Good lord! Every single thing on the menu is incredible. The chefs really take the time to make everything so amazing. Everything that comes out whether it’s your food or your buddies is the same quality.

Appalachian Mountain Brewery is smart to have an overflow parking lot in the same block, as their beers and casual atmosphere make this an obvious popular destination in a college mountain town. AMB is a nice counter-point to Lost Province across town; both make great beer, but LP is great for a brewpub seated meal while AMB is focused on a relaxed tasting room atmosphere with food tucks. I was impressed with AMB’s sour options — a Brown Mountain Flanders and Bad Mother Pucker Cucumber Berliner Weisse. After hiking Grandfather Mountain I was pleased to see options for ordering sampler platters with 4, 8 or 10 different tastes. Very dog-friendly with an open-air setup, their tap lineup has something to satisfy anyone’s beer palate and I was pleased to see a number of ciders too. I bought one of the 3oz tasting glasses to bring home as a momento and look forward to getting a four-pack of 16oz cans of their flagship Black Gold Porter soon. The portfolio and clientele would make this place just as easily at home in Asheville, but I am glad AMB is one of two shining stars for craft beer in Boone!

I wasn’t seeking to try a brewery out when visiting Boone recently but when I had the AMB Honey Badger blonde ale at a local BBQ joint, it made me want to visit AMB and see what their other beers taste like. We visited early on a Sunday afternoon — it was quiet when we got there but got busy pretty quick. AMB offers a wide selection(ales, lagers, porters, etc.) of beers and ciders — something for every one. I had a flight of the honey badger, boonetown wit, bad mother pucker wheat, and the crooked common lager. I liked them all except for the bad mother pucker. There’s cucumber in that wheat beer and it’s not my favorite combination. A flight of 4 is $ 6. If I can find the honey badger and crooked common locally in Raleigh, I would likely buy it — they’re that good. The pizza food truck there — Farm to Flame is awesome and I love that they use the AMB beers to enhance the flavors of their sauces and dough. Definitely visit AMB for the beer and pizza.

Appalachian Mountain Brewing is tucked off a side street very close to Appalachian State University. It’s pretty easy to spot and more times than not there will be a food truck parked out front. Pull in around to the back of the building for parking. There are picnic tables out back with some dangerous looking homemade see saw creations. Beware of groin splinters! Once inside, although there are cinder block walls, it feels like you’re in your buddy’s cabin. There’s a fantastic mural on the main wall — lots of vibrant colors. AMB has tons of selections on tap. The flights come in 4, 8 and I could swear I heard them say 12. Not too keen on the plastic carriers with dry erase marker for beer IDs; they seemed a bit clunky, hard to use and cheap. I took my flight to the patio area where there are plenty of high top tables made from casks. The Long Leaf IPA was good, and so was the Dry County Pale Ale with Apricot. I didn’t care for the others. I have had their Black Gold Porter before and it’s decent. The bartender wasn’t all that friendly and seemed a bit impatient. The bathroom had a ton of flies in it. Nothing worse than flies trying to land on you in the bathroom. The food truck on site, Farm to Flame, was pretty awesome. I think these guys offer discounts on brew tours/tastings through Groupon.

Good variety of beers, nice minimal setup, but very comfortable. Friendly staff. We could really smell the brewing process in the tasting room which added to the experience. The 1st revolution IPA is highly recommended. Will be going back

I’m came here from out of state with a friend… We came just after they opened in the afternoon and the brewtender Jen was super helpful and genuine. I had the delicious turtle island milk stout. The beers come in many size options from half beers(!) To pints to pitchers to growlers, and it looks like they had fun events. The Farm to Fire food truck pizza was delicious, and they weren’t actually open but the cook made us one anyway which was so nice, though I wouldn’t suggest expecting that if you came before the food truck opened. All around enjoyable environment at 1pm on a Monday
