Want to go back. This place was one if the better lobster rolls I had. If you are in town I would say give it a try

This is a smart choice for picking up lobsters and steamers; good quality, good value, and reliable service. You cannot beat the view. My family and I have been coming here for years and I would certainly recommend this place to anyone who visits Boothbay!

Enjoyed steamed twin hard shell lobsters with coleslaw, a baked potato and soda for about $ 30. Live lobsters are picked up and steamed. The view of the harbor from the deck was really good. Restrooms are funny. You will see signs of «Buoys» and«Gulls» instead of «Boys» and«Girls».

It’s good, but not the very best, IMO. I had the fried haddock. It wasn’t as good as Becky’s in Portland. If you go, I think I’d recommend the lobster roll. The friend who got that raved about it.

I came here on a beautiful evening, so it was absolutely chaotic. I had to wait an hour and a half for my food. Waiting for a table took thirty minutes or so. The portions were much bigger than expected — probably the biggest I have ever gotten at a seafood restaurant. Disappointingly, my fried shrimp was really fishy tasting. The batter nearly melted off and the shrimp was not solid. It was mushy and did not taste that cooked. I thought the food was not worth waiting for. Though«cheap» with big portions, I thought it the quality was a little below average. Perhaps it was an off night since it was so busy.

Well you can’t really beat the view. There’s a lobster tank right out front and you sit at a picnic table on the water to crack open a whole lobster. And when you’re done there’s an ice cream stand for dessert. Pretty neat place, token Maine!

Determined to have a lobster roll while in Maine, someone in our group Unilocaled around and found this place and we got the best lobster rolls ever! While on the pricey side, they are worth it. Succulent and tasty fresh lobster meat loaded rolls! For the non-seafood lover, we got a philly cheese steak and he was very happy as was our clam bun eater. We ate outside and it was totally delightful, with great deck views and a breezy bayside ambiance(music piped outdoors was great!). They were very friendly at the place where you order and managed a chip substitution without much ado. Wheelchair accessible but a definite steep roll from the parking lot down to the deck and eating area.

Clam chowder was very good… I like it on the thin side, so this one is great to me. It’s straight up chowder… no fancy ingredients… which is how it should be in my book, with the possible exception of a little smokey bacon. Lobster roll… well the lobster was delish, but it’s way, way more lobster meat than I found comfortable to eat. No wonder they are more expensive than the average restaurant. None of us could eat all the meat and ended up putting an appropriate amount on the bun and taking the rest home.

I am not a fish person so I have the chicken finger plate which came with onion rings and fries. Huge portion and was actually very good. My wife had the steamers which she liked very much. She wanted the lobster but at $ 20.00 for a 1−¼ lbs was very high. Other places nearby where 2 for $ 25.00. Good food just watch the pricing.

Lobster roll ok, fried clams ok, fried shrimp nothing special. Clam and fish chowders nothing special. Some friendly staff, some indifferent– if you are not a local. Not bad, but one visit is enough for me.

Best value for a lobster roll in the area. We split the large and each had 2 times the lobster of other places in town. The deck is great with views of the harbor and the town. The service is efficient(order at the counter and pick it up when its ready. I can’t wait to go back.

Ive been here many times and the jumbo lobster roll is the reason why I keep coming back? I get mine without mayonnaise… Ive never asked but Im guessing its made with at least one if not one and a half pounds of lobster meat? Ive had other things off the menu but overall things are done plain and simple… ocean to table — no chefs needed here

We saw Boothbay Lobster Wharf from our room at Brown’s Wharf Inn & checked it out on Unilocal. We dropped in at about 6pm on a Saturday evening and it was a bit daunting at first as you need to assess your needs, options and priorities. We decided to divide & conquer. My wife went to the lobster ordering area(there are no waiters) and I waited on the bar line for beer. She quickly placed our order for three 1 lb soft shell lobsters, an ear of corn and coleslaw for $ 39.95. She then waited on the«buck a shuck» oyster line for 15 minutes to order a dozen(she received 13!) I bought a pitcher of Narragansett Lager for $ 14 after a 15 – 20 minute wait. I secured an indoor table(outside tables were taken & it was a bit hot for our taste) and planted our beer to stake our place. Judy returned with the first round of oysters & our name was called for our lobster order seconds later. We collected them & started to feast. The oysters were local & briny. The lobster was delicious, the corn sweet, the coleslaw satisfactory and the beer cold. There was a live band that played southern covers and were actually pretty good. I bought another ½ dozen oysters since I still had room & they were tasty and the best deal in the place. We found the restaurant to be fun & the food good. The seafood dinner menu was quite pricey(fried shrimp/fish/clams/oysters etc). Our lobster deal was a touch more than what we’ve experienced. Once we assessed the situation our experience was good. We’d spent about $ 80 all in & enjoyed our meal, the view and live music. I’d recommend it.

$ 1 oysters on Saturday night, starting at 6pm. We were unsure as what the quality would be like but they were actually really good. Their lobster rolls have a ton of meat and if you are looking for a non-bread option you can get a salad with a big portion of lobster over it. The fried clams are some of the best i’ve had, big and flavorful. The food is on the expensive side, even considering that all seafood is on the expensive side, but everything is fresh and wonderful. There is both indoor and outdoor seating.

Decent place to come for seafood in the area. We were staying around the area and came for dinner. It was a cold and foggy night and there were not many customers here. We got the 3 lobsters with 2 sides special and the shrimp dinner with 2 sides and another order of the fried oysters. Price wasn’t cheap I got to say but I guess we were in a seafood place. And we would probably have paid more if we were at a Lobsters was very fresh. The shrimps were fried nicely. The fried oysters were a bit pricy for the amount of food. For almost 19 dollars, I expected more oysters but the portion was kind of small. It tasted fresh and good. The sides we got were the cold slaw, potato salad, and the onion rings. Everything tasted fresh and good but nothing was really amazing. This is a order your own and find your own sit place. They serve cocktails and beers too. The place had a outdoor, first and second floor seating areas. Since it was cold and foggy, we opted to sit on the second floor and they had doors that kept the place warm. People working there were very friendly. Overall this is a decent place to come in the area. But I’ve definitely had better

Came here on a whim today(5÷30÷15)! Delicious cocktails(had the rum runner, Bloody Mary, and mimosa. Excellent food.(Lobster Roll for me & haddock sandwich for him). As a self proclaimed lobster roll expert — this is one of the better ones I have had. Not too much mayo and HUGE chunks of lobster ! Only complaint is there was no waitress. Had to go to the bar to order drinks and stand to order food.

OK. This is «Crustacean Heaven»!!! If you don’t get a 5 pounder your nuts. Food Great! Service Great! Libations Great! Extras Great! View OMG Great! It just can’t get any better than this folks. The beautiful lady bartender was soooo helpful. 5* for her. When ever I’m in Booth Bay this is where you will find me.

3.5 stars. They have separate buildings for take out and for dining in. The prices for dining in are higher obviously. I think that’s why this place isn’t as great as other places that I’ve been to in Maine. There isn’t much value here. It almost feels like a tourist trap. The lobster prices are higher than other places and the quality is the about the same. They had live music when we went, so maybe that’s the reason for charging more than their nearby competitors. I suggested to some friends that they order from the take out spot as the prices were significantly cheaper and they only charge a flat fee to cook the lobsters. Half of my group ordered from the dine-in window and the other half from the take out. We went to all go and sit together, but the half that ordered from the take out were watched like a hawk by the staff there. As they tried to walk over to where we were sitting, they were immediately stopped and told that they can’t bring this food to the seating area. So we ended up all going across the street to the parking lot and eating it there. I think it was more fun that way. a bunch of people squatting over a picnic blanket, eating lobster, with lobster bits and butter sauce flying all over the place. So the experience wasn’t bad for us. The lobster roll was disappointing after going to some other places. Not much meat and definitely not much value. The lobster chowder /soup they had was pretty good. I would recommend that. My friends also enjoyed the soft shell lobster. I didn’t enjoy the clams — avoid.

The lobster roll here is awesome. It had more meat than the lobster dinner I had the night before. I loved eating outside too. Do yourself a favor and stop by.
