The food is average: the meat and grilled onions are over seasoned and the guacamole is not fresh and has no flavor. Also, the staff is very stingy with portions. I had to ask for extra on every item in my burrito bowl(even lettuce.) The worker told me each addition would be extra. Doubtful I will be back.

I had heard really good things about Izzos before going. I heard that the quesadillas were the best thing they had and the queso was very good. I ordered the chicken quesadilla with the seasoned chicken and a lot of toppings. They had a good selection of meats and toppings. We paid for our meal and sat for a little to wait for it to be finished cooking. It came out promptly, but it wasn’t as amazing as I heard it was. The tortilla was the best part of the quesadilla! It was toasty, crunchy and delicious. However, the chicken inside of the quesadilla was not warm and a couple of the ingredients that I asked for were missing, one which was jalepenos. I saw the guy check jalapenos on his sheet but they were not in the quesadilla. My meal also had a lot of blackbeans. Blackbean overload! Also, there was bean juice at the ends of my quesadilla. They should strain the beans, and use less. I didnt order a bean quesadilla, it was supposed to be chicken. If the chicken had been warm, the beans less and not as juicy and with all the ingredients I asked for, I am sure my food and experience would be better than three stars.

Mexican subway, foods ok, but it sits out like in subway… Chicken was stale… Not a bad atmosphere, but is a fast food joint.

Very tasty fare! We had a combo of nachos, quesadillas and tacos. Everyone left happy. Five meat choices and a vast assortment of fresh toppings will keep us coming back. My son’s new favorite! :)

The meat is very low quality. Dry, without flavor, and not fresh. I would never come back to this restaurant.

Ugh. This place was awful. It’s been a few months since we’ve been in, but I’m playing catch-up with my reviews today. The whole family ordered take out from here one night and not one of us was impressed. There wasn’t much flavor and nothing seemed fresh. I had actually submitted an order online and when I showed up 20 mins later to an almost empty restaurant, the order hadn’t even been started! I requested free chips and queso for the trouble. A few weeks later I saw that I had a free coupon for a free meal. It came with LoyalBlocks from checking in on my first day. Well, my oldest wanted to give them a second shot and wanted to buy me lunch. I read that coupon a dozen times. I even told the girl working that we had that coupon and my son decided he wanted to «buy himself» lunch with it. So he orders a burrito, chips and a drink, all the while commenting on his free meal and«whatta deal!!!» However, our total with the coupon factored in was outrageous! Turned out the coupon is worded ambiguously and only the«combo» part of the meal is free! You have to pay for the burrito. I dislike shadiness. I spotted my kid some cash, much to his embarrassment. This place is really close to my house and it really would have been nice had they actually had good food.

I’m confused about how this restaurant keeps getting worse. It opened up and was lovely. But every time I come in here to service gets worse and the food gets worse. It’s like they’re sinking into this organizational and terrible tasting food quicksand. This is a perfect location for an undercover boss episode. There is absolutely no way that corporate would approve of the current status of this restaurant. I do feel sorry for them because when chipotle opens up in a few months they’re going to go out in flames.

I really liked the food here. Definitely not gourmet, but still really good for«fast food.» The only thing I thought negatively about Izzo’s is that they seem like a store that’s just opened even though they opened 2 years ago. They seem really disorganized. They had a salsa bar that had no salsa in it & when I asked for limes, they hadn’t prepared any beforehand. However, having said that, they were VERY nice & accommodated everything we asked for or needed. :)

I really wanted to like this place. I came during a weekday lunch, and was greeted with fairly typical fast-casual burrito place options. I went with my standby, a steak burrito. The way they operated the line was interesting as we had one person take our order from beginning to payment, instead of being handed off. The service was very friendly and inviting. The filling offerings were pretty standard. The steak looked a little in the grey side but cooked medium rare so I was excited about that. I wanted to get some guacamole with my chips but they were apparently out. I don’t know how a burrito places runs out of guac though… The meal was a little pricey but not too bad. The queso that came with the combo was a little underwhelming in size, but so was the amount of chips. The real disappointment however came when eating the burrito. I noticed that it felt cold when I picked it up. Perhaps it was the salsa and cheese, I thought. However the entire burrito was warm at best, and the steak felt below room temperature too. Also, the steak was not cooked well. There was no caramelization on the meat and it was tough and chewy, almost like it had been boiled or something. On the other hand, the orange tomatilla salsa was very tasty, I think maybe some Mexican lager was in it. Unfortunately it couldn’t make up for the temperature of the food or the texture of the steak.

Very friendly staff, welcomed as soon as we came in. Food was excellent, great guacamole. Had a mixed(marinated, seasoned chicken) super felony burrito. Everything was cooked perfectly, and for the first time in a while the habanero sauce had flavor and heat. We will be coming back, and that is saying a lot because we do not like to drive up airline from south bossier.

This location features great service, but, food prep and taste needs to be improved, to compete with local options.

The rice was crunchy, serving size was small, queso was thin, tortilla chips were VERY stale. Will not go back and would not recommend.

So, the previous reviews are 8 or 9 months old. It’s my understanding that the place has undergone a management change recently. Apparently, the new manager is doing a fantastic job. I can’t say enough good about this place! I took my family there this weekend. A really great experience. All the food was fresh, lots of choices, and huge portions. The Felony was really a huge burrito. Eating the illegal burrito should earn you a plaque on the wall — it’s that big. I’m a fan of really hot stuff, and this place doesn’t disappoint. They burned me with the habanero sauce. And I loved it. Of course, they have milder stuff, but it’s nice to know they can take it that hot. The restaurant was clean, really kid-friendly, and the staff was very nice. I’m from Michigan, and they even turned the station on the tv so I could watch the game.(I would dare try this if an LSU game were on — I’d like to leave Louisiana in one piece.)

We have eaten here quite a few times since it opened. Seems to be hit or miss with their meats. Depending on who makes your food, you may get a little more meat at times, but even then, it’s not much(we have always had to ask for extra). They tend to be pretty skimpy on the meat. The shredded pork is extremely salty. The ground beef very salty and greasy. Some visits worse than others. Wished it would have been a QDoba put there instead. Much better food. I also prefer Moe’s over Izzo’s. Mainly for the reasons stated earlier. Oh, not to mention the fact that they charge extra for mushrooms, onions, & guacamole! Ends up being VERY costly for a family. It costs me and hubby over $ 30 every time we go. He gets a medium burrito and I get the nachos. It the meat wasn’t so salty and greasy, they didn’t charge extra for the side items, and weren’t so skimpy on the meat, I would rate them 5 stars for sure!

It’s OK… Over priced. Rice is crunchy and chicken is hard …
