I’m gonna be brief. I wanted to like this place. It’s a good place for people who want to stuff the face. Foodies… avoid avoid avoid. Plain unseasoned bulk food. They didn’t even use crab boil on the crabs. Blah

Is it great, no. It’s a buffet in a small casino so keep your expectations in check. That said, the staff are very friendly, and the crab they serve seems fresh or at least it is well cooked and seasoned. The gumbo was pretty decent. All the rest is standard buffet stuff in monster quantities. It ain’t the Wynn but it’s the best buffet in the area in my opinion.

Buffet has a good amount of selection, from bbq, crab legs and shrimp, and even some Chinese food. I liked that it had good sized crab legs, the shrimps had a really good kick but were kind of small. The food was average in term of flavor, I was expecting better flavor from a casino buffet but I think it was good for the value, considering it was only $ 21.50 for dinner.

Coming in close to its newer competitor Margaritaville, Horseshoe’s buffet continues to deliver genuine & quality service to its patrons, whether it be the cashiers, hostesses, buffet attendants, or servers. The Spread has a spacious, clean, modernistic layout for the various types of food fare: fresh salads, cheese/fruits, customized made-to-order fruit smoothies, hot soups, Italian, seafood, asian(chinese and sushi), american faves(fried/baked chicken, prime rib, sausage, brisket). Dinner hours are 4pm-11pm on Fri & Sat. The seafood extravaganza feasting is available on Fridays. Tonight’s seafood selection was a good variety: snow crab legs, crab claws, chilled cocktail shrimp, fried oyster/shrimp/catfish, oysters Rockefeller, baked scallops, mussels, clams & crawfish étouffée. As you make your way past the register, you can stare at the decadent cakes on display in the bakery and then salivate as your eyes linger on all the appetizing desserts. My eyes and stomach were overwhelmed with deciding how many desserts to try! From bread pudding to cobbler, cookies, various pies, cakes, cupcakes, and crème brûlée. There’s even a cotton candy station to rekindle your childhood memories at the local fair. Although Vegas buffets have spoiled me silly, this is a good buffet option for the SBC. Happy buffet feasting everyone!

I’m sorry. I wanted this to be excellent because I lived in Las Vegas for 35 years and wanted this to be a slice of my desert home. The rock crab was dry and grainy. They have no tiny forks, so much meat was wasted. Worse, I just gave up after wrestling with a claw and went on to the next. And the other items? Average. But the employees everywhere in the Horseshoe where this buffet is located were incredibly friendly and helpful.

I’m not generally a huge fan of buffets, esp. since sometimes the food looks like it’s been sittin’ in that hot tray a looooooong time… however, that certainly wasn’t the case at The Spread. It’s attractive, appealing, and offers a great variety of well-prepared foods. You can choose from country cooking, French, Italian, Mexican, breads and cheeses, soups, and a salad bar. Being in Louisiana, of course there are a variety of fish/seafood offerings. There are a variety of scrumptious desserts, and even a cotton candy machine if you want a treat to go! We ate here on a Friday night and were very satisfied. The staff was efficient and friendly.

The food I liked very much; salads, meat, pizzas, kind of Mexican food, crab, mussels, desserts. Service it’s good, aways aware of drinks and plates. But as any other casino… Price is up there for dinner which is when I was here. But would definitely come back.

I have been here a few times while staying at the Horseshoe. Always great service including the buffet attendants who are more than helpful. Delicious, fresh seafood and an AMAZING dessert selection! Definitely worth the price.

I stayed at the Horseshoe and thought I would try the buffet for lunch. The buffet layout is modern, clean and easy to walk around. The wait staff is always on top of things with drink refills and cleaning the table of used plates. For the lunch buffet in the middle of the week the buffet was stocked with all sorts of seafood and meats. The seafood included shrimp, crab legs and crab claws. The buffet also had a nice selection of asian, mexican, american and BBQ dishes. The salad bar was was stocked with fresh salads and veggies. I also did notice that the buffet did have some hot panini sandwiches which looked nice. The buffet was well stocked, fresh and yummy. For a lunch buffet this is hard to beat. The buffet does give you a discount for player card holders so be sure you bring your player card.
