Watched a football game here during a visit to Boston, great atmosphere and view of Fenway. Josh the bartender was extremely helpful and gave us a nice Boston welcome. Can’t wait to try this place during a Sox game. Only had a few beers, so can’t speak to the food, but enjoyed the experience.

For real, I’ve been here almost 4 years and never visited. My next game will be spent sitting here watching the game through the fence. Out of the cold and rain. Service there is Boston service… don’t expect a high-five when you walk in. With that said, so the heck what, they were consistent and agreeable. You have to do it just to say you did it. I’ll be back…

Pretty good food for a bar. I love what they did with men’s bathroom. There is a window on top of the urinals so that guys can see the Green Monster while peeing. They won’t miss a second of the game haha. It is more chill and calmer bar than others, I feel.

I had seen the reviews and was expecting the ratings for this venue to be more of a reflection of the placement of the bar, as it does have a roll up door with a great view into Fenway Park. But we had just finished the tour of Fenway and decided to try it out. Glad we came. I got the Cuban sandwich and it was delicious, nice spice from the Chipotle aioli. The Britton beef on Weck with horseradish was also greatly enjoyed. Great atmosphere, great drinks, great food.

This place is the worst bar in the greater Boston area. On random nights(undoubtedly when a good friend is in town and you dragged him/her across town to see the park, even for 30 seconds) they have private events and won’t let anyone in. The dates of these events are unknown. And even worse, the signs on the door that say things like«private event from 7−11pm» mean absolutely nothing. You will go to a random crap bar nearby until 11:30pm and come back only to be told that they are now closed all night. Do not waste your time.

Awesome distinguished bar in Boston. I’d recommend it to any visitors. The view into the stadium is amazing! Games and batting practices must be extremely lively in here. Lots of beer on tap. Spacing inside and parking will probably be troublesome if it’s a peak time. Come early and probably expect a wait. I went here for Monday Night Football and there was only about 20 people there so that was great.

Great location, obviously. But I do need to point out that the buffalo wings are so small. Do they buy their wings from a miniature chicken farm? One of them was more like a nub. It looked like a buffalo chicken knuckle. I tried all of the sliders. The pastrami slider was really good! The burger was solid. The meatballs in the meatball slider tasted like those frozen meatballs you can buy at Stop n Shop.

This place is money! We got here about 3.5 hours before a 7:10 nite game against the Rays. Wanted to get some food so here we go. I ordered the hamburger sliders and they are soooo good! Comes with sautéd onions, cheese and pickles. The pastrami sliders were also good. Great taste and awesome buns. The meatballs sliders were awesome too! The meat had tremendous flavor and great rolls as well. It’s a great place, and the cool part is that it directly looks into center field at ground level. I highly recommend this place for the passing through traveler!

I mean… it’s exactly what’d you expect. On the plus side, the view and ambiance is really cool if you’re a sports fan, and a fun experience to bring your newbies and tourists to. But the food is nothing worth spending $ on, the beer list is disappointing, and the crowd can turn fast. Not my first choice of bar in the area(I’m more of a Beer Works or Lower Depths kind of gal), but I do appreciate the uniqueness of the location.

Was at Fenway this weekend for a ballgame and happened to stumble upon this place. Not that I’m a cheap person, because I’m not. I think you«get what you pay for.» The food here is far from even fair. It sucks. Beer was cold, and plentiful, outside servers worked their butts off — but c’mon guys. If you’re going to make a sandwich — make a «SANDWICH.» For gods sake, that rare roast beef with 3 slices of rb and 1 slice of cheese was an embarrassment. Charge a buck more and make something worth it. 2 stars for cold beer and good service. Food failed miserably. Don’t bother.

Awesome spot bc it’s just right next to the Fenway Park. If you’re unable to enter the stadium this is the perfect alternative. If you’re lucky to have a seat near the field you can actually watch the game where the diamond is situated. Although pictures of the game are not allowed. «Pregaming» is usually done in here too esp beers are cheaper than having some in the stadium.

On a short weekend trip to Boston, my husband and I actually came to Bleacher Bar twice, because we loved it that much. Caveat: I did come here before baseball season started; so I really don’t know how the atmosphere/crowd changes during the baseball season. What initially brought us to the Bleacher Bar was good Unilocal reviews and obviously the attraction of looking out onto Fenway Park. However, the service, drinks, and atmosphere are also a huge draw! It’s a fun place to have a few drinks and the patrons and the servers are super fun and friendly. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a fun, relaxed atmosphere to relax and drink some awesome beer.

I’m giving this bar/restaurant 4 stars for the view alone. The food was nothing special and very bland at best. The beer was cool to warm. But the view of Fenway is fantastic.

This place is awesome. Don’t get me wrong, it’s definitely just your standard borderline divey sports bar inside, but the view of Fenway Park is really memorable, especially for baseball nerds like me. Most of the reviews below seem to mention that this is a great place for before or after Red Sox games, which I can definitely see given its proximity to(read: inside of) the ballpark, but I can also imagine it’s pretty busy during those times. We went on a random Saturday night while the Sox were out on a road trip, so had no problem finding a table to relax. It’s a great tourist experience to have a couple beers looking out over one of the oldest stadiums in baseball, even though it’s not as pretty as AT&T Park. But I’m biased. Drinks: 3⁄5 Value: 4⁄5 Service: 4⁄5 Atmosphere: 5⁄5

Met an alum friend were for the beginning of a drinking marathon [it turned into more of a sprint]. Sat at the bar and handed a standard sports bar beer list. You won’t find anything special here, but mind the selling point of this bar is that is has a direct look onto the field which is fenced off. Great for tourists who won’t want to stand in line for the Fenway Park tour. Service was good and attentive and helpful when you cannot make up your mind between shots. Happy so far, will try again when there is a game day.

I was visiting from LA and a friend recommended that I stop in here if I wasn’t going to the game. This place is pretty sweet and made me jealous that we don’t have something similar at Dodger stadium. While the bar itself is small, you go into this bar to get a peek into the game. This is the best part of the bar. You get to see into the field as the game is playing. I wish they would have the game on speaker, so you could also hear what was happening. We were able to get the table smack in the middle of the«doorway» but be forewarned, that you must order food and can only sit there for 45 minutes. Timing is everything because we were able to watch the ending of the game here which is when the open up that door and let the air in from the field. This in itself was worth the experience at Bleacher Bar. I would recommend stopping in to check it out and grab a cold one.

I’m giving 4 stars for the experience of a bar located on the edge of center field. Not much room especially on a game day, but you have to go just for the experience. Don’t eat here unless you have snagged a front row table. If you are lucky to snag that seat, then stay a while and watch the warm ups. On a side note. The men’s bathroom urinal has a eye level window that looks over the bar. So you will see guys lined up as the urinate. Very funny

After finishing our tour of Fenway, we decided to grab an ice cold beer(or 2) at the Bleacher Bar. This place is an old school looking bar located in left center field(on the outside of the stadium) of Fenway Park. There is a fence(see picture) in the outfield wall that allows you to look out onto the field. There are seats on a lower level that look out into the stadium. According to the really nice staff, they stated that these seats can only be reserved for a certain amount of time during game days. Right behind these reserve seats are some bar stools along an L shaped bar that are just about one foot higher. These seats, depending on where you sit, also look out to the stadium. These seats can be had for the entire duration of the game, without paying for a ticket. There are also plenty of tables and a long bar for you to sit at. You cannot see onto the field from these seats, but it is a cool atmosphere with plenty of TVs. The food here is a step up from typical bar food. I found the sandwich I had(Beef Brisket) to be much better than expected. The Vegetarian Chili was also really good. The food menu consists of normal bar appetizers, soups, salads, sandwiches, burgers and some desserts. The bar is fully stocked as well, having most types of liquor you would expect. The beer list is ok, Harpoon and Sam Adams on tap plus some Macro beers(Bud, Miller and Coors products) The bottle list is slightly more expansive, but consists mostly of Macro beers. Despite the lack of selection, I was still able to find a beverage to quench my thirst. The only negative could be the bathrooms. As a guy, I had no issue with the restrooms. Was it the cleanest thing ever? Probably not, but hey, I have seen much worse. The blonde who tags along with me on these trips said the woman’s room was ok, but not her favorite place. This is a nice little bar to experience. I would certainly like to see the atmosphere during a game sometime. Overall, I would recommend to others to visit. Take it for what it is, a fun little bar in a baseball stadium. Great people and decent eats. I will visit again for sure.

Touring Fenway Park was fun, but did you know that you could dine or have a drink inside of the«Green Monster?» Boston is a fun city with a lot of places to dine. I wanted to try the dugout restaurant behind Fenway. I suggest going when there isn’t a game if you want to be served quickly. There were only a few people at the bar when I came in to have dinner. I ordered a meatball sandwich, which hit the spot after a cold day. I like sauce that covers and smothers, and the chef delivered. The quality of food was on par with similar type sit down restaurants, better than a Friday’s for instance. The people I came with all enjoyed their meals. I was happy that the prices were average for a dine-in restaurant. They could easily charge more being so close to the park. There’s so much history at Fenway and if you are a baseball fan at all, this is the place to get a beverage or a bite to eat.

After a very cool experience at Fenway park, we wanted to grab a bite to eat at a nearby joint. This place originally caught our attention as we were told there’s a huge open window looking onto the actual field. I knew we had to check it out immediately! The location of this place beats any other place in the area. This joint is literally part of Fenway Stadium and yes, there’s a huge opening(fenced off) that looks right onto the field. As you eat your food and drink, you can watch the game from the point of view of the actual players in the outfield! Be advised though. When a game is in session, no one is allowed to take any kind of picture. No matter what. They are really strict with this rule. My friend took a photo of a banner on the wall of the bar and got in trouble, so watch out. The joint was pretty cool and really stuck to the Fenway theme. Lots of Fenway memorabilia and so much character. Cool thing about the boy bathroom were the windows overlooking the bar from the urinals. The staff was pleasant. They were cordial and efficient, nothing that really stood out. I started my meal off with a Shock Top Heff beer for $ 5.00. I’m a big fan of Shock Top and other wheat beers. Nice creamy texture and light in flavor. This was definitely worth the price. For my dinner, I got the Pork Belly Cuban for $ 12. Tender Pork Belly, ham, swiss cheese, pickles, mustard and chipotle aioli. This sandwich was served on a toasted baguette, a pickle spear and shaved fried potatoes. The flavor of this sandwich was through the roof! The pork belly was crispy and marbleized quite nicely. A little too salty though. You add in the swiss and ham and it just got really salty. I really liked the mustard and aioli combination. They also added some pickle chips in the sandwich which brought a nice crunch and little bit of a tang. The sourness of the pickle was my saving grace to the salty sandwich. This is a bar you’ve gotta check out prior to going into the stadium. It’s so cool to see the field while you’re having a brewski. Don’t take pictures, though, or you’ll be asked to leave immediately! Act like you’re sending a text and you should be fine!
