Still go here routinely and still love it! — everything is fresh and tasty, there is always a line, the service is brusk but friendly and fast — the pizza IS really good with HUGE slices(¼ of a large pie), the subs never disappoint(Italiano, Italian Turkey Club, Tacchino, Razdora, meatball — they are all great), salads are good(Calderino is my favorite) but you do have to wait for proteins to be cooked to order for them, and their pastas are the real deal — only minor gripe is that all of the seafood pasta dishes are REALLY stingy with the shrimp, scallops, etc. — like giving you 3 – 4 medium shrimp on a huge mound of pasta — should be at least twice as much.

The have horrible customer service. The lie on their menu. They claim they deliver but only can deliver to a certain distance walking. They lie and tell you to order the day before for a delivery order and then don’t want to deliver.

Delicious caprese and pesto spaghetti. The pesto was home made. Charming place.

I’m really sorry to be writing this because I had really high hopes for this place. My colleague and I have a pretty good track record at visiting Triple D joints all over New England but this one definitely fell short of our expectations. It’s in a cool part of town in a very small space. It was pretty crowded for lunch but that was expected as they are only open for lunch. It was pretty confusing and almost had the«Soup Nazi» feel to the menu and experience at the counter. I ordered a slice of pizza and a small meatball sub… leave me alone I was hungry! I ordered that because I didn’t have enough time to look the menu over before I got to the counter and didn’t want to be «that guy» holding up the line. My colleague ordered what Guy Fieri showcased during his visit there and I’m sorry to say it was pretty boring. I also have to say that my pizza and meatball sub were also pretty mediocre. I really wanted to be writing a better review for this place but Im sorry to say its not worth it to me to go back with so many great other places to go in Boston. I hope you have a better experience than we did.

The shop is tiny. There are some chairs and tables if you want to eat in. I had a meatball sub with provolone cheese to go. It was so… good. Cost a little over $ 9. The bread was so crusty. The meatball was so flavourful. The people in the shop was so friendly. Can’t wait to come back!

Came here with a foodie buddy of mine anticipating an amazing Italian lunch but left feeling very disappointed. After seeing their episode on Triple D and reading all the reviews we thought we’d be in for a real treat. Not sure if we mis-ordered or just caught them at a bad time but the food was just mediocre. We each ordered a slice of the spicy soppresata pizza which was very impressive in size but that was the extent of the impression it left. Maybe it had been sitting on the rack too long(we ate at around 2 pm) but the sauce was tasteless and overall just a greasy slice of pie. My buddy ordered the meatball sandwich which also had the same tasteless sauce and a row of very soft almost doughy meatballs. I had the chef daily special Rosette which was also featured on Triple D. Again, not impressed. I think it had been sitting over the warmer too long(I did get the last 5 pieces in the tray) because the pasta sheets were mushy. The overall flavor was good but couldn’t get past the texture. I will be back to give this place a second chance as some of the food coming out did look delicious. I’ll try one of the pasta dishes(non-daily specials since those seem to sit out all day).

The best Italian lunch spot in Boston. Casa Razdora is only a few block from my office, so I am usually here a few times a week. Everything on the menu is fantastic — from sandwiches to pastas to full dishes. All of the pastas are homemade, and can be ordered with one of the many delicious sauces on the menu. Some of the favorites are the Razdora panino, the Ottimo Panino, Penne with vodka sauce and the gnocchi with Nona sauce. The line tends to get pretty long, but it always moves quickly.

I’ve been back a few times since my initial review over a year ago, but somehow I don’t find it as amazing as it used to be. My pasta favorite is still the pumpkin tortellini(but I love all things pumpkin), but all the freshly-made pastas are delicious. Service is a little gruff but not unfriendly. However, over multiple visits I have noticed that Casa Razdora sometimes lacks consistency. I have been unpleasantly surprised by undercooked garlic in my sauces, which I am not a fan of. If you order takeout, be sure to ask for the complimentary bread. It is delicious. Still a great value if you work/live in the Financial District.

So, we eat a meatball sandwich and an eggplant sandwich. Really delicious. A little light on the meatballs but still delicious. Bread was delicious. We were too starving to take pictures of the food, sorry. We had been walking for a few hours before eating. Keep in mind the place is tiny. Get it to go or take the first seat you see!

This place has ruined me for all other pasta places. Just the number of pastas and sauce options alone makes it impossible to walk away without finding something up your alley. But then you find out it’s all made in-house, and you know you have no choice but to dig in. I got the pumpkin ravioli in the brown butter sage sauce. Dear lord. The pumpkin was just the right amount of sweet, the pasta was perfectly al dente. The sage was fragrant and the butter sauce complemented the pasta beautifully. We got a side of meatballs, and those were honestly the best meatballs I’ve ever had. Casa Razdora, please clone yourself and send it to Los Angeles for me.

Casa Razdora is across from my office where I work, and believe me I get it the food is authentic and really good, but the people who work here are some of the rudest Italians I’ve met — and I studied in Italy so believe me I know the Italian temper. My office used to treat us to meals from here once in a while but after our last experience we won’t be coming back. Our office ordered two large salads and two margherita pies to go, and one of my co-workers went over to get the food and realized she also would need some utensils and plates. She walked back over after spending $ 50 here and they informed her that it would cost two dollars for each plate — so $ 10 for five of us to eat off plates and additional money for utensils. She started explaining she just got food there but I think this place’s line out the door constantly at lunch has given them quite the ego, they just started calling her terrible names in Italian… and she speaks italian and understood all of it. So she left without any utensils and we all were happy about that. I get needing a little extra money, but two dollars for a paper plate? Please don’t rip your customers off and then call them every curse word in the book just assuming no one speaks Italian. Super disrespectful, we will not be back!

This place has converted me into a bona fide Italian food enthusiast. I love how intimate the setting is and how you can watch them prepare your sandwiches, shred fresh vegetables, and cut deli meats. I, guiltily, come here multiple times a week. You can’t go wrong with their Italian sandwich. So simple and classic and perfect.

Definitely some of the best Italian food I have ever had! First — pay attention to their hours! They are only open 11am-4pm Mon-Fri and closed on the weekends. My husband and I stopped in here for lunch one afternoon while we were in town visiting. Also beware that it’s a small place — like super small. There is constantly a short line to order your food and then there are like 2 tables and and a small bar for seating. It is really more of grab your lunch and go kind of spot. We were lucky enough to catch a couple getting up from the bar so I snagged the seats. I told my husband what I wanted based off of the menu on the wall. He waited in line and then tells the guy taking orders he needs an order of veal Parmesan. and the dude says in his most Italian voice ever, «we don’t have veal today what else do you want instead?» My husband didn’t know what else I wanted so he got out of line to come talk to me. Second time around he got to counter after I had given him my choice and back up choice. He was able to successfully order the stuffed eggplant. We also wanted the margherita pizza and the guy says in his most Italian authentic voice, «you get cheese.» My husband acknowledged and paid the person at the cashier. Now could the customer service had been better — yes, but I feel like I got a real authentic experience if that makes sense. The process could have been way smoother and organized better, but it was what it was. I knew there had to be a reason why there was constantly a line at this place because so far it wasn’t the customer service bringing the people from what I could tell. Our food was ready pretty quickly and we squeezed into our seats at the bar. It looked AMAZING. I took a bite of the stuff eggplant and closed my eyes for a minute. It was so savory and delicious. I also tasted the dish my husband got, which was the fettuccine campongola and it was just a great! The cheese pizza as simple as it was, was some of the best I have ever had too! The food was literally as good as it gets and made up for the little stuff. We almost came here a second time during out visit because it was that good, but we ran out of time. If you are in the area head to the financial district and try this little hole in the wall Italian spot. If you can get past the BS you will be amazed at what is being served!

Stopped by for an early lunch, small shop but very active. Lots of people came in to get sandwiches to go, and they were served quite promptly. the Salsiccia Cascioni sounded good, and turned out to be quite a delicious(and what I’m assuming is authentic) italian calzone on flatbread. It took some time to cook, but it was worth the wait. The sausage was well seasoned, and the marinara used was very clearly Italian seasoned. I was a bit torn about the bread. I’ve had calzones before with pizza dough, and the dough used here was flatbread, and so it wasn’t as fluffy. It didn’t ruin the dish, but I think I would have preferred another bread. But everything else about the experience was enjoyable, and if I return to Boston I would definitely eat here again.

Went here for lunch to check it out after reading so many rave reviews on Unilocal. First off, this place is POPULAR. It may be hidden on a side street, but locals definitely know it’s there. Secondly, this place is only open during lunch hours on weekdays – that means that you’re gonna have to brave the lunch rush or have an early or very late lunch to check it out. Third, know what to order. They will ask you to order, even if you’re standing in the street so that it will be ready by the time you make it to the register. Fourth, there isn’t much seating inside so either plan to carry-out or hope that a table or bar stool opens up. As for the food, we had to try the pumpkin tortelloni after reading many reviews. We also tried the pollo marinato sandwich, one of their newer menu items. The sandwich was good – nothing great. The chicken came grilled and had a nice blackened flavor. The cheese also went well with the bread and the peppers provided a nice cooling bite. I wish that they were spicier peppers, but it was a decent sandwich nonetheless. The pumpkin tortelloni was definitely the better of the two dishes. It has a hearty pumpkin taste and with the butter and sage sauce, it really stood out. I have to admit that I was expecting to be more ‘wow’ed by this dish, but it was still tasty. We also finished the meal with one of their chocolate(truffle?) desserts and neither of us was very impressed. Overall, the service was extremely friendly here and the food came out quickly – not the best Italian I’ve had in Boston, but definitely a solid lunch option in the financial district.

Amazing! Got a pizza and my god this is the best pizza I’ve had in a long time! Everything else sounded amazing too! Place is very busy due to open only for lunch, but it is so popular and amazing that it’s worth the wait!!!

The hype is true. Their pasta is amazing. I’d happily ranked the pasta here among some of the best ones I have had in Boston. Don’t be intimate by the long line this place attracts during lunch time. It moves fast!

BESTVALUE. Don’t be fazed by the overwhelming menu here at Casa Razdora. If you’re going for pasta, just think of what kind of sauce you want first, and then choose a type of pasta to compliment it. You can’t go wrong. I’ve tried almost half of the pasta menu, almost always with linguine, and I’ve loved all of it. The price point is so reasonable that I would come here much more often if I worked nearby. Oh, the pasta even comes with bread. Carbo-load for days. The place itself is tiny, super cold in the winter, and BUSY during lunch. Get take out if you want, but the sit down option is fine too.

I’m going to let you in on a little secret, The pizza is very good, the best we had in Boston! We had a quick lunch here after walking half of the Freedom Trail. The portions were huge and for a fair price. This Chicago girl approves!
