On word. Consistent. I go in for a deli sandwich I walk out with what I want/except every time There aren’t a lot of bells and whistles with this place but for my simple style I enjoy being able to walk in during lunch and know what I’m getting. Keep it up hoagie

A+ for cold cuts F for hot sandwich/panini, chicken was rubber/hard/chewy which completely ruined the meal and grossed me out. Nice staff, very slow though.

Yup, this is the best pure cold cut sandwich place in Boston. They use Boar’s Head meat, which in itself almost gives this place five stars. They have a bunch of sandwiches to choose from or you can just make your own. I particularly enjoy their ciabatta bread. Another good feature in my mind is they go light on cheese. So if you want to cheese yourself to death, go extra. In my experience, the biggest place where sandwich places fail is the ordering process, especially when ordering custom items. I am generally a picky person and I want my sandwich how I want my sandwich. The sandwich creation process is where this place shines. You walk in and talk to the guy at the ordering station. He has a pad of paper. You tell him what you want. Each ingredient type has a specific location on the paper: the meats go in the upper left, condiments lower left, bread upper right, cheese lower right. The order paper goes down the assembly line from the bread guy to the meat guy to the extras guy. If they got your order wrong, trust me, it is your own fault. The efficiency and speed of the order process is the best in town. As a bonus, they have lots of chips/snack options including the always desirable full spectrum Haribo rack. Go here. It’s good.

Great quality food and fast. The prices are very good for downtown Boston and they are very friendly and take custom order with no issues.

This place is so disappointing. I work right next to this building, so it’s convenient to just head next door and pick something up. I’ve always regretted it. It’s always dead, there are always a ridiculous amount of people working there, no interactions with the customers that it’s almost uncomfortable. You can get better food cheaper down the road. Pass this one up.

One of my go-to spots for lunch downtown. All Boars Head meats and cheeses. Price point is on par with other places near by, though the amount and quality of food is better IMO. They also take Levelup payments with a nice rewards program.

Tried Beantown Hoagie today for the first time and it is a completely«meh» experience. I ordered the Grilled Chicken Thai Salad and the romaine just looks sad. The chicken in the salad also looks strange/foreign and doesn’t look like it should be eaten. Scary is the word I’m looking for here — fake grill marks and all! Someone in line ahead of me ordered a sub and it looked way more edible than my salad. Maybe skip the salad and go for what they’red named after.

Guy who took my order seemed miserable. Place was dead and they still couldn’t get my order right. Disappointing.

This place has good sandwiches and, in the winter, three or four different kinds of hot soup on offer daily(though I recommend you come before 1 if you want soup). The prices are not great depending on what you get, but the ingredients are always fresh, and the sandwiches are BIG, so that usually makes up for it for me. The staff are friendly and efficient; even when it’s crowded during the lunch rush, I’ve never had to wait long in line.

I want to like this place so bad. The menu is great. The location is right next to my office. and the people are EXTREMELY friendly, But my god. I could go slaughter the pig, slice me a piece of ham, cure it, mill the wheat, make the bread, and put together the whole ham sandwich faster than it takes them to complete an order. And to add insult to injury, there’s usually something wrong. If you’re going to be slow, i expect it to at least be worth the wait. Beantown Hoagie, if you are reading this, please improve your operations. We want you to survive!!!

The #1 is friggin delicious. This has become one of my regular lunch spots in the financial district. Better selection of chips and drinks than anywhere else I’ve been too(0 calorie vitamin water and baked chips… hooray!)

Four stars for the Jewish Hoagie with the .99 combo(can of soda/bottle of water and bag of chips). Sandiwch was served up quickly, and was quite affordable. I’d go here again for a sandwich. Love when places slice boar’s head right on the spot. FRESHTODEF!

Went here for lunch the service was pretty quick. I had a corn beef sandwich and it was very good. Bread was fresh and the meat was lean and flavorful. will be back

If you’re anything like me sometimes you’ll be indecisive for what to eat for lunch. Have no fear, you aren’t alone. BeanTown is your average sandwich shop that I happened to stumble upon during a short trip to deliver some stuff. Note that there are a number of places to eat in the area. What set BT Hoagie apart for me was that they did a «build your own…» with a big variety to choose from. Some days I feel like bread but I can also feel like a wrap. Even better is there are about several different wraps to choose from. Take a deep breath, all this freedom to choose exactly what goes into your sandwich is a little bit edgy… well not really, Subway does it too but then again though Subway doesn’t have 4 different types of turkey and ham you can choose from. So I get a spinach wrap with maple turkey, swiss, basil pesto, lettuce and tomato all for the low price of six dollars and change. They’re generous with the turkey and since it isn’t busy it takes them about 5mins to get it done. Every time I’ve bought a sandwich it’s always been good and fresh. They also take credit for those embarrassing times when I’ve been caught without cash. Friendly staff, great selection and good food is what keeps me coming back.

Excellent sandwiches with good quality meat and fixings. However, they lose a star since they take a while to make each sandwich — you can call your order in advance.

Solid lunch option in Downtown Boston. Definitely try the Italian Hoagie(H1) and the Jewish Hoagie(H3). Paninis are good as well.

Excellent sandwiches/wraps at a reasonable price! The prep time could be a little faster, but since my wraps have never been anything less than«omg so good I can’t wait for another one tomorrow!»…I’m not going to complain. They always have free samples of 2 daily specials. For those of you allergic to gluten, there are quite a few gluten free options including deserts. :)

Boar’s Head! Boar’s Head Boar’s Head Boar’s Head Boar’s Head Boar’s Head. Okay, so they’re still working out the kinks. All you need to know is that you’ll be getting a thick, juicy mouthful of turkey and fresh avocado on Iggy’s bread, AND you don’t have to go to Mediterranean Grill. Win/win, y/y?

Can we get some caffeine in these people?!? BeanTown Hoagie needs to take notes from Al’s down the street. This place is eight different kinds of slow, and nine different kinds of unorganized. You would think the thumping house music would spur a little get-to-it-ive-ness. I honestly felt like I needed a glow stick to wait in line. It is difficult to determine where to order, where the line is to pay, and how you get your food. Not to mention my co-worker and I waited a FULL20 minutes for soup. SOUP! How long does it take to ladle it into a bowl? The soup was mediocre — the chicken in the soup was grey and the broth left a lot to be desired. Not to mention they’d run out of bread so instead of a roll, we got sliced bread with our soup. Everyone who said they were waiting for a sandwich thought it was well worth the wait, but I am unconvinced. Next time anyone in our office has and extra 20 minutes for lunch, we’ll send them down for everyone. For now? Skip it. I don’t think anyone working here has ever worked in a restaurant before. Go to the Kebab House, or Al’s instead. In a month or two when they finally pull it together, I’ll try(and review) Boston Hoagie again. NOTE — count your change! The girl working the register is flighty.
