I was really excited that a Subway finally opened in this part of the financial district but this one needs help. The owner has clearly decided that running a lean staff is better than serving their customers. Often I go in there and there are only 2 – 3 people working the sandwich line and 5 – 10 customers waiting. If there are only 2, the«fixings» person has to take off their gloves, check out the customer, reapply the gloves and dress the next sandwich… ridiculous. The other penny-pinching thing they’re doing is REALLY slacking on the toppings. The whole point of being able to select your toppings is so you get to eat them. I asked for spinach on my last sandwich — the girl literally picked one piece of spinach at a time and placed it on my sandwich — she did this 3 times for a total of 3 pieces of spinach for me to enjoy. Then I asked for more, I got 2 more pieces. I have to ask for more of every topping they put on and I always get 1 more piece. For goodness sake… I don’t want to take it out on the workers because I’m pretty sure some stingy owner told them to make the sandwiches this way. The convenience and politeness of the people is the only reason I go back but I don’t know if I can take it anymore.
