Daniel really knows what he’s doing. I walk in feeling frumpy and walk out feeling fabulous! That’s a rare talent.

Daniel is awesome. He really knows what he is doing when it comes to makeup and design. He is a very talented artist and teacher.
His makeup line is great. I love Daniel’s concealer, his mineral powder and his brushes. He shows you how to pick out the most natural-​looking products that best compliment your complexion, hair color, face shape and desired overall look.
Passionate about his work, Daniel is full of knowledge. He shares so much information about skin care, sunscreens, beauty tools and eyebrow care. I am very glad I had the opportunity to take a class from him. I definitely recommend either taking a class from Daniel or hiring him for a private makeup application/​instruction.

I went to see Daniel after winning a gift certificate at a fundraiser that he had generously donated! I had not been for a cut /​color in almost a year, so I was nervous about the state he would be finding my hair in…
Daniel is very knowledgeable, and passionate about hair. He takes time to talk with you in great detail to understand your styling techniques, and hair maintenance. He also listens to what you want and what you are looking for. He really works with you so that he gives you a style you are happy with and that you can manage yourself!
When I get my hair done I usually have no idea what I want… he took time to ask my questions so that together we could come up with something I would be happy with. He gave me some tips to try over the next few weeks to help make my hair a little bit healthier.
He designs his own hair products (as well as clothes, and makeup!) What I loved is un like most hair salons I have been to, he doesn’t try and push his products on you. Although I do plan on trying them out, I did not purchase anything on my last visit.
I can’t wait to book an appointment with him again! Best hair cut, and high lites I have received… and I am picky!

Daniel Hernandez, the owner of DH Studios, is patient, knowledgeable and just fantastic! I took a makeup class with him through the Boston Center for Adult Education and I learned a ton! Part of what I liked most about him was that he really focused on how each person could accentuate the features they already have, rather than following a set makeup ritual. He always had several suggestions for how to achieve a good look; there was never one right answer. He both introduced new makeup we could try and helped us figure how to use the makeup we already owned.
Overall, Daniel is a fun guy to be around and he really knows his stuff. He is happy to answer any questions you have and goes out of his way to make sure you’re happy. I absolutely recommend him.
