The food here is pretty good I have no complaints about it. My complaint is about the staff, the woman who took my order messed up twice and when I corrected her, she gave attitude, I wasn’t rude about it but you could tell she was in a bad mood. The staff overall doesn’t seem happy, it makes me not want to go back.

Five stars for a quick breakfast. Much better than Au Bön Pain down the street! However, if you have more time, go to the Paramount around the corner on Charles Street. Can’t be beat for breakfast in Boston, but often has long lines.

Good location by the MGH campus. Friendly staff and quick service. I pop in here every now and then to get a quick breakfast or bring in bagels for co-workers. I love getting the jalepeno creamcheese on an everything or asiago cheese bagel. My friends have recently been all over the grilled cheese and soup combo.

The workers are pretty grumpy, and cleanliness definitely isn’t their strong suit. I’ve seen the workers handle raw egg yolks and continue making sandwiches without changing their gloves. It’s inconsistent; some days I’ll get a bagel with fresh lettuce and turkey, but other days I’ll get browned lettuce and slimy turkey. That being said, I’d rather come here than to the Au Bön Pain down the street. The bagels are decent, but obviously incomparable to fresh bakery bagels.

BLT was amazing as usual but for some reason this location didn’t have wi-fi. I found that to be quite strange and inconvenient. Prices are quite high

Good bagel selection. The bagels were good but the breakfast sandwiches were kind of haphazardly thrown together. I would not recommend getting the light cream cheeses just because they really lack that delicious taste of real cream cheese. This place was clean and service was fine. Go here for a reasonably priced, quick breakfast.

Food is pretty good. Team members are rude and have zero customer service skills. I work next door at MGH. I always buy my morning coffee and coffee for my office there every morning. I walked out the cashier was so rude to me. This has happened before. I had enough and decided to take my business over to AUBONPAIN.

You will get a very average breakfast sandwich at Finagle A Bagel. I had a bacon, egg and cheese on a salt bagel. I will say that the order is made quickly and the bagel was very soft and fresh. The egg and bacon were obviously not made right then, which detracted from the overall quality of the sandwich. Overall, a good place to go if you need a quick breakfast.

Came here with my companion because she used to get breakfast here all the time when she lived in Boston… that and apparently I love bagels. I mean, I’m Jewish, so I must love bagels, right? I don’t really, but they had bialys so I was fine with that. The saw action in the conveyor belt was cool but it doesn’t cut the bagels perfectly in half; I’ll take a hand cut bagel instead any day of the week. As you could expect for a chain trying to make good NY bagels in Boston, they fall short. Each time I got a bialy they overdid the flour on the outside. Rather than being crisp, it was soft and tasted way too underdone – accentuated by the extra flour. The onion and poppy seeds saved it from being a disaster along with the cream cheese, when was layed on thick. The one bite of bagel I got was very average. There’s got to be a better bagel somewhere in Boston. Outside of convenience, I’m not sure why you would go out of your name to come here. The saw and the cutesy name are the only redeeming qualities about this place.

A truly confusing maze of pillars and coffee tanks make figuring out where to order extremely difficult. Team members not properly trained in offering assistance do not help the experience. The crescent melt($ 6) was quite tasty. Fresh toasted white bread, pile of turkey, thick bacon, tomatoes, chipotle mayo, melted Swiss. A very decently made and tasting sandwich! Truly impressive.

This is my favorite bagel shop. Even when it’s busy they serve you quickly. The bagels are fresh, tasty and they have a wide variety of types. Their coffee is very acceptable but not DD or Starbucks quality. I wish there was a finagle closer to my home.

This review is based primarily on breakfast offerings. The staff are friendly and fast. The location is near MGH and the Charles/MGH T Stop. The bagels are great, and for breakfast sandwiches, the egg seems to be cooked in the store rather than Hans Solo carbonite-like prefab eggs at places like Dunkin Donuts and Subway. Of all the bagels, the French toast one is magnificent. They even have bialys! The only breakfast con at Finagle is that the iced coffee(both regular and Hazelnut) is average. Overall, I’m a fan of this place given the consistent quick and delicious breakfast offerings.

The SAW!!! Oh look! They just through a bagel… wait for it… wait for iiiiit… SAWWYEAAAH!!! This place is like a sandwich-deli of bagels. I like the variety of sandwiches and how they keep it healthy. It reminds me a lot of Panera bread too. I ordered a turkey, tomato, with swiss cheese and my god how GOOD was that swiss melted cheese right!?” I said. I ate in several Finagle-A-Bagels around the city while i lived there and I always returned like once every 1 or 2 months to devour that cheese on tomato! mmmmm!!! This time was a visit and I had to make a stop here. …I don’t remember the rest of my experience but your mother liked it too.

You call that a bagel? The crust should be crisp, but it’s soft. The inside should be chewy, but it’s squishy. The dough should be slightly sour, but it’s bland. The toppings should be nutty and aromatic, but they are not. I usually eat Iggy’s bagels, knowing full well that they aren’t really all that much like bagels. But at least they are a quality bread product. Finagle-A-Bagel loses points on all points. Except the name, which is cute. Next time I will not be tempted to stray from the breakfast+lunch counter at the MGH Yawkey building, which serves a better egg sandwich than this establishment. Also not really a bagel, but on the whole a tastier whatever-it-is.

Great location close to MGH. I’ve been here a few times and always love my fresh and toasty bagel breakfast sandwich and French Vanilla coffee. Service is speedy. Was pleasantly surprised when I walked in today and the place was recently renovated and they finally offer other sweeteners besides sweet and low! Thank you! Unfortunately, my diet coke was not icy cold and the chairs are super loud when they are pulled out and scratch across the floor :(

* Classic NY bagel * Ok, so Boston failed me on NY Pizza( ), but it did well on NY style bagels. I read over some of the other reviews of this spot and it sounds like people are unhappy with a whole bunch of non-NY style items like bacon&egg bagels, pizza bagels, etc. But I honestly would never dream of ordering those items at a bagel shop. Perhaps from a freezer section at the Walmart in a small town, but not at a bagel shop. I put those types of «bagel sandwiches» into the same category as jive ass«sushi» rolls. Just not a thing I would ever order. Instead I ordered a straightforward poppy seed bagel with veggie cream cheese, and this place performed well! The bagel was a classic NY style bagel(much better than those Montréal style bagels we are cursed with in Canada). They served it with a generous portion of cream cheese, just like the bagel shops in NY. Photos: and A simple classic NY style breakfast — well executed!

I work about 2 feet away from this place, so I’ve been making frequent stops here. The only bagel I’ve tried has been the honey grain and it was really tasty and filling. Their brewed iced tea is a bit expensive for the size but really good. I also like their breakfast sandwiches– not the best I’ve ever had, but not bad. They also have all their nutrition information online for their bagels, cream cheeses, soups and salads, which makes me happy. The employees are semi-efficient and don’t really seem to care that much. A few weeks ago I stopped eating dairy and it’s been tough, since I love bagels. Dairy is one of the most common allergies/intolerances, so it always amazes me how the bigger chains don’t carry even one non-dairy option for bagels– tofutti cream cheese, earth balance buttery spread, soy cheese… anything! This place is no exception. But they are a bit flexible with their food– for example, today I ordered a pizza bagel with no cheese. They didn’t act like it was a big deal, and my bagel came out yummy and without cheese :-).

This is my breakfast/snack/lunch stop in town when I don’t generally have other plans or are just passing through for one reason or another this is where I go. This was also where I sent my parents to get us food after my baby was born at MGH. I love their bagels, really enjoy watching them make everything, and the place although small is great. They have so many combinations of bagel sandwiches and yummy things to get on the run.

Ew… this place is gross. Don’t get any of the breakfast sandwiches. The eggs are tasteless and watered down, the bacon is soggy and probably really old, and my sandwich started dripping water(I hope) for no reason. The regular bagels and cream cheese are ok, but sometimes they run out of basic ones like egg bagels in the morning. Only cool thing about this place is how they slice their bagels. We don’t have Finagle on the West Coast so I was impressed by that conveyer belt with the giant rotating blade that splices the bagel into 2 halves.
