No clue why the ratings on this place are so low, I’ve ordered from this place twice in the past week & had amazing service and really yummy food. Both times I called for delivery and my order got to me within 20 or so minutes. Servers who took my order were friendly & wished me a fun trip in Boston, I haven’t dined in, so I can’t comment on any of the«in the restaurant experience» — but I would definitely recommend this place based on the experiences I’ve had.

This is my go to place for pizza. Though I do get salad here once in a while if I am trying to be healthy. The pizza is awesome! If I have friends over watching a game they always love it. Not thin crust, but definitely not thick. Salads are always fresh, and the grilled chicken on top is tasty. The guys behind the counter are friendly and courteous. Highly recommend for a neighbor sub shop.

Best Greek pizza around. My favorite pizza in town. I usually get green peppers and onion. Also, everyone who works there is super nice. Delivers too.

Harry O’s is your basic hole in the wall pizza/sub shop. The kicker is, their food is pretty dam good. I work down the street and come in here all the time. My go to is either the meatball parm sub or the steakbomb. Both are solid choices and the marinara sauce is kick ass. The owner is this Greek dude(real good guy) and sometimes he makes home made baklava. Good stuff, keep it up.

The guys who work here are super nice. It’s always been fairly pricey for a regular pizza, but it’s close to home and fast for take out. Unfortunately after this last time, we will no longer call Harry Os. We called to order a pizza, not sure if we should do take out bc the weather was not that great. However, they told us that delivery was free, even on our $ 13 large pizza. When it got here 1 hour later, the bill was $ 17 — so clearly delivery wasn’t free. Also, the guy who delivered it was out of breath explaining that he had to walk 0.2 miles to get it here. Hmm that’s odd because when I called 40 min after the initial order, you told me the driver was stuck in traffic(3 whole blocks of it) — such a lack of transparency does not make for good business.

I’ve been stopping in regularly for a couple years. I like their pizza, subs, and salads. The staff are very friendly. And orders are ready pretty quick.

I really like Harry O’s. I work a block away and stop in here on a regular basis for subs. The chicken hercules is my staple — greek dressing, chicken, feta, tomatoes, lettuce. I always add pickles and onions. I have also tried the American which is their take on an Italian sub. Loved it. I’m usually not a fan of Greek-style pizza but they have a thinner crust that I actually enjoy. Greasy wonderful hangover pizza. YUM! The staff is always super nice and the food totally works for what it is. I grew up on House of Pizza Friday nights and this is one of my favorites, again, for what it is. Obviously don’t expect gourmet, this is a house of pizza. This place does a fine job.

Food is very over priced for the quality and quantity … The only thing they have going for them is their pizza.

My BF Ordered the buffalo chicken calzone which was ok. My wrap was terrible. On top of that, it cost a whopping 27 dollars upon delivery. Pure robbery! Go up the street to Nicole’s which is much better. Absolutely terrible and the price is just mind boggling.

Hello everyone… I hate to do this but I have been going to Harry O’s for over 20 years now… Loved them! The last 2 times has been hell! They messed up on my price twice. I will not be going there ever again! I would rather go to other places and pay more than go to this place again!!!

Beyond terrible, no clue how they stay open with pizzas this bad and subs are awful as well.

The expectation for Harry O’s is that it’s the corner take out pizza and sub shop with no frills. If you’re expecting more, then Picco is two blocks over. The South End needs places like Harry O’s, where you can get a reasonably priced hot meal. Harry O’s exceeds expectations! The main reason is staff. They love making pizza and they love their customers. We have had pizzas, subs, and salads and everything has been great. We have ordered for pick-up, and it’s ready quickly. We have ordered at the counter, and you’re in and out pretty fast.

The pizza is good but that’s about it. The cheese inside the mozzarella sticks was not in the stick at all. It was overcooked and tasted like oil. I asked for extra mayo and they put light. The lettuce was old and damp. I will never eat here again.

I am writing this review less for other customters, but rather to let the owner of Harry O’s know about a minor, but nonetheless annoying, interaction from earlier today. For the past three years, I order pick-up lunch from Harry O’s once a week. Take-out; they don’t even need to delivery. They know me. They know my order, which is always the same, with the exception — perhaps — of three orders for the past three years. I went to pick up my standard order today. The total was $ 12.79. I had $ 12.78. I said, «I have 78». She, Maria, replied, «79». So, I gave her $ 13.00 and left with over a dollar in change in my pocket. Okay, the total was $ 12.79 so I should pay $ 12.79. However, as a regular once-a-week customer, perhaps a $.01 accomodation could have been made. Likewise, local shops, including Harry O’s, often ask for change because they are short. So, in exchange for a penny, Harry O’s could have had change. I fully appreciate that Harry O’s has the right to insist on the amount due(including tax). However, Harry O’s needs to appreciate that based on this interaction, I will spend my weekly $ 12.79 at another local restaurant. I just wanted Harry O’s to know. [The 4-star review relates to the food, not today’s interaction.]

I had a pizza from here delivered for lunch and ended up throwing it away because the smell is making me sick… The pizza tasted weird and smelled horrible. I still feel sick.

Handling food and money while wearing same gloves is a deal breaker for me. Owner didn’t even want to hear my complaint. He just hurriedly gave me a refund and over talked me as I went to explain what I had just seen. A big NO from me.

For a big group lunch at the office, Harry O’s is great. There is a large menu with a lot of variety, piping hot pizza, fast service and cheap delivery. What more could a finance team want for a group lunch? I like their pizza a lot, perfect medium thickness crust, always cooked enough so the toppings and cheese aren’t goopy. Plus, they sell by the slice. The sandwiches and subs are great too. I am particularly fond of the gyro, although they never remember to leave the onions off for me. The pita is thick, and grilled nicely before being stuffed with tons of meat, lettuce, tomato and tzatsiki. They sometimes have special subs too, which are always worth a try. The counter service is so friendly and the restaurant is clean, even if it is in need of some rehab. I enjoy eating in, there is a lot of light from the windows and the employees are pretty funny in a «no Coke, Pepsi» kind of way.

Grabbed a grilled chicken caesar salad on the way home and though the greens were fresh, the chicken was overcooked and bland. Terribly overpriced too at $ 8.50. I understand where the questionable sanitation comments are coming from now after seeing the lady handle the salad and my money with bare hands…

This is my pizza shop. The pizza shop I’ve been eating from for 18 years! Ok, let’s start off with their food. There’s hardly any sauce on their cheese pizza. Do not order their pasta! Sandwiches can be messy, but that’s a good thing, right? The steak and cheese is a little dry but has a lot of flavor to it. But I fell in love with their BBQ chicken pizza! A must try! The owners are just adorable! They call you«sweetheart», «dear» and they really mean it! :) They show their appreciation to their customers. Of course, they know who I am just by my voice, but I’ve heard them say it to a lot of customers. The inside is not an attractive one to stay and sit(it’s small too) and their location is smack down on Washington St.(probably won’t find parking). But this place holds a special place in my heart, no matter how the food is.
