I went here with a group of people from work before a bruins game last week. We were split between three tables which was fine and told the waitress that we would like to have all food/drinks on one bill. Once it was time to head to the game the waitress brought the bill to one of the tables to pay. After, two of the tables left and I was still there with the others finishing our drinks. The waitress comes back over and hands us two more receipts, one for the table I was sitting at and one for the other table the main receipt was not brought to. We tried to figure out if we were charged multiple times but she insisted we weren’t even after she said it was OK to put all three tables on one receipt. Mind you, she forgot to even put and order of food in for a co-worker. This waitress did not know what she was doing and did not know how to do her job. Food was pretty good, but the service was just awful.

I’m actually impressed with myself I ate here. I knew the minute I saw the basic, barebones menu, it would be a crapshoot. The nachos are just bagged chips slightly warmed up with average salsa. I got the pull pork sandwich, which is retrospect, tasted like the Lloyd’s pull pork you buy in the plastic bins. I also tried the Celtic Margarita. Silly me. It was just sour apple mix poured over ice in a large plastic cup. I felt very sad for whomever thought up this drink and thought it should be a menu staple. Also, minus 1 star for the half urninals in the restroom, crammed together. That must be super around 1am on a Saturday.

So after we ate in the north end we decided to get s quick drink before we went home. This place is a very dive bar but a fun fun place when you go to the game, either Celtics or Bruins. Place is big but when you walk in all you smell is bleach. They can try doing a better job at cleaning but can’t blame them when drinks go all over the floor. The staff is very awesome here definitely a good spot for a quick drink and a bite to eat before you go into the game.

Ok food — but shitty service. Make sure to check your bill because not only did I have my meal charged on there but another completely different bill was also on there, and it was two times more than my original one. I saw her walk up to the table down the row with my card, then turn around and go back to the machine… figured she was just confused… but clearly she was just not very good at her job…

Stopped in here randomly on a girls night upon returning back from dinner in Salem. We were wandering around after getting off the train. I knew my friends didn’t want to just go sit in a sports bar and this place had a DJ pumping so we decided to give it a shot. The drinks were strong and of average price. The bartender bought us a round and complimented our sweet dance moves. Or rather red bull vodka dance moves! It was decently crowded on a Saturday night but we stayed on the side of the bar opposite the packed dance floor. The DJ was pretty awesome. Played a good mix of old songs and new. Got the kind of night we were looking to have and the area we were in, this place delivered. Oh and $ 5 cover.

Best bar in Boston before/during/after a Bruins game if you are 21 – 29 years old. I always go here before going into a Bruins game and usually go after as well. Watched game 7 vs. Canucks here — was sick. The prices and quality of booze/food is similar to the rest of the sports bar near the Garden.

This place is very sketchy. They told several times throughout the night that the only accepted cash because their computer was down. We were there to celebrate Providence College’s win in the NCAA frozen four over BU. When PC ’ s coach showed up with the team and his credit card, they could magically accept HIS card but still could not accept mine, or any of the other customers who prefered to pay with a card because«the computer was still down.» The waitress actually looked me in the eye and said this to me while she had the coach ’ s card in her hand and he was standing right next to me. I understand this has been they way they have operated for some time. I have never understood why the rest of us tax — paying Americans put up with these cash businesses that obviously don’t report all of their income. I hope the IRS catches up with this one. I won’t be back.

Best place to watch a Bruins game. Watched part of the 2011 Stanley Cup Finals there in College and was hooked since. Love the«in-game» feel of the goal horn and celebration music. Makes you feel like you’re sitting in the Garden without paying through the nose. Keep it up!

Good spot for beers before Celts/B’s…but stick to the liquid diet here. Food is horrendous, made my wife and I sick. Fun atmosphere, friendly waitstaff.

The reason I give this place a one star is because we decided to go to Hurricane to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday. It was pretty dead even around midnight but that didn’t stop us from taking advantage of the dance floor and the flowing drinks! ALTHOUGH, once we did start dancing and enjoying ourselves, an employee(who was«off the clock») was absolutely drunk and came over to our group becoming too touchy feely with all the girls. Forcefully. After telling him that we were all committed, he continued to say ‘yeah, but you’re ignorant’. This comment was replied to by, ‘no no, I’m just letting you know not to overstep any boundaries’. My friend(who is a woman, not a man) was physically pushed towards the exit by this«off clock» employee. The fact that he put his hands on her, and directed us to leave because he couldn’t find a girl to take home is disgusting. The fact that this bar ALLOWS employees to drink their alcohol off the clock and get that intoxicated, is even more revolting. I will be calling them at noon, when they wake up to make another complaint to their supervisor.

We came here for dinner right before heading to the Bruins game. It’s a great atmosphere with nearly everyone wearing Bruins gear and amping up for the game. They have great salads and fried food of sorts that all looked pretty good at the surrounding tables. We had the nachos which I greatly enjoyed. Just make sure you get the chili on them ;-) They were pretty busy before the game so I think the waitstaff may have been a bit overwhelmed since it was pretty difficult to find and get our waiter to come over so we could order at first. Other than that, I really like this place and it was PERFECT for a little Bruins pre-gaming :)

Everything about this place makes me feel icky. Girls in not much clothing, creepy guys and dirty surfaces… safe to say I will not be coming back to this establishment.

They make probably the worst nachos I’ve seen since the day my friends and I walked into a diner and initially got served chips with Velveeta and shredded lettuce only. Hurricane O’Reilly’s earns 2nd worst nachos with their concoction. It’s about in line with Taco Bell nachos. Weird cheese. Weird sour cream. Salsa. The bbq chicken fingers were a bit better. Had a little bit of flavor. Crunchy, but a bit dry. We also got yelled at for bringing drinks we bought at the bar to a table. I know it’s taboo, but we actually made the decision to grab the table after getting out drinks. It’s not like we put our stuff down, went to the bar and came back. The yelling was completely unwarranted. I wonder if Jon Taffer ever visited this place.

Went here before a Bruins game. Wings were over cooked, salsa was clearly Pace brand. Worst of all, the service was terrible. The waitress didn’t know the wing sauces and she also lost my debit card after I gave it to her for the bill. Luckily, we went up to the bar and someone had turned it in. But, how could she not have asked a coworker for help to find it? She did cover the bill, which was a nice gesture, but I will never be back if I’m ever in the need to grab food before going to TD Garden.

This is the best place to go to before a game. I got a burger with bacon, which was delicious and cooked very close to how I ordered it. $ 5 pitchers. We had 11 guys and the bill was $ 215. If you want to have a good time after the game too, it is a great spot.

Here’s a tip… turn around. Go anywhere but here. Had a dinner before a show at the TD Garden that actually made me sad. I think I would have enjoyed a Slim Jim and some Combos from a gas station more than my sandwich. The bread on my steak sandwich was stale and it seemed the sandwich was covered in Kraft Singles. I also had to shoulder into the door in the bathroom stall or god knows how long I would have been trapped in there. My friend had to plead for water, and when we noted to our waitress that before she took our order, perhaps the people next to us should be given silverware for their entrees they received 20 minutes earlier– macaroni and cheese is not something you want to eat«Medeival Times» style. She snapped at us for bringing the silverware situation to her attention– we thought it was the neighborly thing to do as that table’s efforts to flag ANY of the incompetent idiots that work at this establishment down failed. Oh and apparently they like to live on the edge, leaving rather sizable beer spills on the floor in a high traffic area for at least an hour. Who doesn’t walk the line of a lawsuit waiting to happen? So in closing if you like subpar food, crappy service, and leaving a dining experience thinking, «Well, that’s time I will never get back,» then this place is for you. Me, I would rather chance two-day old sushi.

I attended my first-ever Celtics’ home opener. Yes, the Celtics aren’t the Red Sox(at least not this year), but my son and I love the NBA. Tickets were cheap and Miss Marry and I bussed down to meet Mark, who took the commuter rail up from Providence. I love the walk from South Station over to TD Bank Garden. Knowing the prices for bad food and beer, we opted to eat beforehand. There are all kinds of watering holes along Canal Street, near TDB Garden. Hurrican O’Reilly’s is a favorite of the Celtics crowd, as we’ve been there before(probably before a Celtics game). My wife and I went with the O’Reilly Burger, which was solid burger with sweet baby ray’s” bbq sauce & aged cheddar cheese. It comes with fries for $ 9.00. You’d be hard-pressed to get a beer next door for that. Rockin’ place pre-game, and 98.5, The Sports Hub(w/Felger & Mazz) were broadcasting live, sans Felger. Hurricane O’Reilly’s is a good place to drink and grab a bite before a game. Yes, it’s crowded and noisy on game nights, but staff do a good job getting you in and out. Serviceable and reasonably priced.

Seems like a good local place to grab some food before a game. The crowd was a weird mix. I know my dad and I stumbled upon it because we were hungry before the Bruins game, so I assume others had done the same. There were lots of older people, some I don’t think were old enough to drink. It was a little more pub-like and a little less bar-like at 6 pm on a Thursday. The food was pretty good, and I wasn’t surprised by the high prices because of the location. The service was pretty bad, our waitress seemed to disappear after we got our food, and she seemed surprised when we had to wave her down to grab our check. I’ll call it an isolated incident though.

My roommate’s friend was DJing here one Saturday night, so we all went to check it out and support him. We arrived around 11PM, and were struck with an unexpected $ 10 cover. Great. The space is huge, and has lots of potential since there are multiple bars and an ample dance floor and stage area; however, it was tragically empty the entire night. The DJ played the regular pop songs that every bar across America is playing nowadays, so on that front the bar met my(not very high) expectations. The crowd was a strange mix of overly drunk girls dancing like crazies(ie. writhing on the floor, jumping on the stage, twerking to un-twerkable songs… Quite a show, to say the least) and guys dancing a bit but mostly hanging back and observing the girls. Didn’t exactly put us in a dancing mood. But not gonna lie it was pretty entertaining to watch. We need drinks ASAP. So we asked the first bar if they had pitchers(we saw some right behind the counter), but they said no, only the other bar did pitchers. Okay. We trek over to the side bar, and they only do Miller Light pitchers. But for only $ 5.50, we’re down(it’s about 3 glasses worth). Mmm tastes like frat. The other drinks we got(simple mixed drinks and a pretty delicious shot called Breakfast which tasted like maple and came with an orange juice chaser) were overpriced at around $ 7 each, especially considering the cover charge and crappy crowd. Overall, we had a fun night because of the people we came with, and we stayed in order to support our DJing friend, but I definitely wouldn’t come back here on a regular night. If I’m going to spend a significant amount of money on a night out, I’d rather it not include Miley Cyrus wannabees on the dance floor.

Are you looking for a place where you can find both Monday Night Football AND no judgement when you order a SoCo shot at 12:30a on that same Monday? Then Hurricane O’Reilly’s might be your jam. As the place was packed with other Tufts MDs-in-training, I have zero idea what the bar scene is actually like, though I suspect it ranks somewhere on the«top 25 douchiest bars in Boston» — nevertheless, I will say, for the run of the mill drinker, $ 3 for a pitcher of shitty beer is pretty solid if your goal is just to get wastey-face — additionally, my bourbon wasn’t terrible — and fairly cheap(ummm $ 7ish?). Bartender was friendly and attentive — no cover on weeknights — and b/c I like prancing around to Top 40s, I thought the music was pretty solid — so while I can’t say I’d ever seek HOR out again, if I happen to find myself there after another exam, it’s not a bad place to get trashed enough that you’ll feel like you’re in college again.
