Everything was pretty gross. The curry was tolerable but only because it was spicy enough to make something bland and a little yucky okay. The pad thai was down right nasty. I couldn’t even swallow it. Never again.

I really like the drunken noodles and pad thai. Always tasty, hot, and freshly made. I order through their web site and although delivery isn’t fast, the delivery people are always pleasant and gracious when they come to the house. All in all, a solid neighborhood place for Thai.

The food here is pretty good — we ordered duck over rice, it came with fresh broccoli which was better than most other«asian» cuisine places. It actually tasted like they cooked the duck, rice and broccoli on the premises, and the broccoli tasted fresh. We had some trouble with delivery, they mistakenly wrote our order up as a pick-up and after waiting over an hour for them to show up, we called and they sent the order out for delivery. It took a reasonable amount of time for them to get to us after that. We did order one thing that was gross, but that’s just because it wasn’t to our taste — steamed vegetable dumplings. We won’t order those again, but that’s not their fault. I would order there again, stay away from the dumps and make sure they know to deliver the food.

I ordered extra spicy chicken pad thai. The noodles were all falling apart. I could not get one scoop with my chopsticks and actually get consistent noodles. They were just a mass of mush. The chicken was tough and had a slightly rotten flavor. I have ordered from plenty of Thai restaurants in the past, I know what good pad thai should be. It should not be falling apart in pieces nor be a pile of mush. The chicken should not taste rotten. The chicken shouldn’t be tough as nails. I would definitely not recommend this place to anybody. There are better places to eat.

Admittedly I wasn’t expecting much more but rather secretly hoping for that amazing hole in the wall local spot that I could count on. In the interest of disclosure, I ordered with grubhub when I got of the train knowing my 20 minute walk would be perfect timing… And it was… Food was ready right on time!(There’s 1 star) I ordered the Bangkok seafood and Tom Yum Soup. Taste, texture and heat on both was perfect((There’s my 2nd star) As is traditional with Thai entrees I expected rice.(It wasn’t an added option on the order so safe to assume it would come with a bit of rice). Instead I get a phone call after ordering asking if I wanted rice, «yes of course»… They proved to tell me that’ll be an extra charge cash only upon arrival… EPICFAIL Lastly, although the food tasted amazingly, it was clearly cheaply made. They replaced bamboo shoots with celery sticks… Really? They didn’t use traditional Asian mushrooms(which you can get at the Asian market in China Town), instead they use the sliced mushrooms on sale at Star Market. All in all, decent food for a quick meal in the go of you’re okay with sub-par ingredients and flailing service. For the $ 20 I spent, I was hoping for more. My search for authenticity continues!

The food is great, the location is also good. Ice cream shop next door which is awesome. It’s another incentive to walk down. Come try the food it’s good.

Worst customer service. I ordered beef panyang curry for delivery, they placed in styrofoam container that leaked all inside the bag. I called to tell them I was disappointed that there’s no curry left cuz it’s all spilled in the brown paper bag. The girl on the phone was like, «so what do you want me to do about it?» They refused a refund.

Although it’s not the best Thai food I’ve had in my life, it greatly rivals the place that was there before – I believe it was called«Taste of Thailand” – and they are always great with delivery! Ive never had delivery come late but I have had it come early on multiple occasions. My favorites are the crab Rangoon, scallion pancakes, and pad Thai, yummm!

While visiting my friend here, he took me to this quaint lil thai bistro. I had the pine nuts chicken pan fried dish and it is one of the tastiest thai dishes I have ever had! The service was super friendly & quick, we had no problems getting a table that evening despite how cozy small the restaurant was. Its a nice local place and I can see why my friend frequently comes by here for his lunch & dinners :)

A friend of mine ordered delivery from here and I’ve been a fan since. Service is efficient, food is great and location is convenient. Top orders: Pad Thai, Tom Yum soup and Pad See You!

I got my order to go: dinner of Panang Curry w/duck $ 14.95 and lunch combo vegetable & tofu Pad Thai w/spring rolls(3) $ 7.95. The sizes were decent for the price and tasty. Think fast food of Thai cuisine. Two things about the Panang curry 1) the curry«sauce» wasn’t thick enough for me, it was soupy, but flavorful! 2) the baby corn was a little too grown up for my taste. How do I describe this; It was like eating a very tender corn cob center?!! Let’s say they should switch the baby corn. The pad Thai was on the sweeter side and could have used a few more vegetables. It did have a good mix of fried tofu though. They take credit cards and service was ok. The restaurant only has a few tables for seating. And the décor is very sparse and utilitarian. Quick lunch date+, romantic dinner out X

This is the second time we’ve ordered from KaPow. The first time was horrible but I took a leap of faith in giving them a second shot. It was equally horrible the second time. The first time ordering, we got the Tom yum noodle soup, which was bland and weird. It did not taste like Tom yum soup at all. I don’t like to waste food but I had to throw it away after struggling to eat no more than 20% of it. The second time, I ordered Tom yum soup, hoping it would be different as a side soup than as an entrée. It was OK but definitely not as flavorful as it should be. My boyfriend ordered the garlic udon, which was acceptable. The place is so bad that they couldn’t even make the Thai iced tea properly. It was super watered down and you can tell they put too much water in there to try to save some powder. I mean… Thai iced tea is just a mix! Can’t they spare a few extra sprinkles? We got free Thai rolls because we had a coupon. Good thing they were free because they were so bad. They were limp and barely packed and the filling was basically mush(and had celery in it. Ewww. But that’s just a personal preference). We ordered some beef dish(drats, can’t remember what it was called but it came with sticky rice) and it came with this dipping sauce that tasted like cleaning detergent from a cheap restaurant. It may sound weird, but it reminds me of fluorescent lights and cheap take out. The only saving grace of this place was the chicken wings. They were decent. Also, another gripe with this place is that it’s so expensive! It didn’t break my bank account to order from here, but it’s way too much for what they’re serving. I really wish they were better, since it’s the only Thai place in the area. It might be worth the drive to go to Quincy for Thai food(Pad Thai Restaurant on Hancock Street or Little Duck in Quincy Center). Made the mistake twice. Never again.

I really wish this place was better — it’s close and convenient to where I work and I love Thai food — but Kapow is a constant source of disappointment. The food is underseasoned, often bland and lazily executed. The staff is generally indifferent and this is reflected in their food. The drunken noodles are adequate if you must eat here — do not order their noodle soups, their broth is flavorless. If you want good Thai food you’re better off heading to jp.

The service is prompt(if you order for lunch) and the staff is friendly. I’ve tried this place a few times for delivery. The Basil Fried rice is delicious. The spicy chicken wings were okay. Everything else I tried was bland(Thai rolls, chicken pad thai). I usually get my Thai food from House of Siam on Columbus ave. That place is awesome.

This rating is just for the dish I ordered for delivery, so I can’t speak for the rest of their menu. I had the Beef Massaman Curry. I asked for it to be hot. Boy did they deliver! It was hot and flavorful. One of the best Massaman I’ve ever had. This is the first time I’ve had it with sweet potatoes instead of white potatoes and it was very good. Enough for 2 people easily. I will definitely try some of their other offerings. The delivery did take a while but it was worth it for this freshly prepared dish.

Good is mediocre, at best. Our order took 1:20 to arrive last night and they seem to never pay attention to special requests-even if you repeat yourself. The owners know they are the only Thai place around and I think they assume they can get away with making mediocre food, but ultimately, they won’t survive on this business model. That blackened blob in the picture I’m attaching was suppose to be avocado on my avocado curry… All in all, this place is not with it. Order from other places and pick it up if they don’t deliver to Milton.

The sad fact of the matter is, there just isn’t very good Thai food in this area. Kapow is another fairly standard Thai take out place with a few tables for dine in customers. I work down the street so when I can’t handle greasy hospital food anymore I go for their greasy Chinese-Thai noodles. I used to get the kapow noodles and the pad Thai which, like most other Thai places is mostly noodles. I would say the portions are above average, but the flavors are pretty bland. I will say that their delivery service is excellent and they keep your address and credit card info on file, which is handy but also sketchy now that I think about it. Time to cancel some credit cards.

Sorry, am I missing something? This place is *awful*. Either we walked in on a very very off-night for these people, or the other reviewers here who give it four stars have pretty bad taste buds.(Sorry guys). Why? Because just about everything we had was BLAND! As in, no taste. We tried this combo appetizer(w/tempura, chicken wings, Thai rolls and some crab Rangoon’s). The tempura was heavy and soggy instead of light and crispy. The rangoons? Damned if I saw any crab in ‘em. The chicken wings were dry and tasteless(really??? How do you fuck those up?). The Thai rolls were actually pretty decent, but that was about it. It didn’t give us much confidence in the entrées we were about to eat. But we went ahead… The hubby had chicken massaman curry. Absolutely no flavor. The hubby had to put in chili powder and crushed peppers at home. I’m sorry… isn’t that the *restaurant’s* job to make it flavorful and tasty? It doesn’t matter if it’s take out or not. I had the pad Thai.(Love pad Thai). I asked if they could add duck(which they did for $ 2 more, and credit to them for being willing to do that). Same thing… BLAND. I will say however, that the noodles were fresh… but the dish, and the duck were tasteless. To its credit, the place looks very clean and is bright. But food wise, BIG disappointment. The only reason we came here was because Mrs. Jones, the soul food place next-door was closed early because she was sold out of food, we were hungry and saw the four star reviews here for this place before ordering… so all you four star reviewers for this place owe me $ 43, ha ha. Sadly, Mrs. Jones has closed permanently(as of this writing)…but there are still better eateries to go to around the area than this. Pat’s…go to Pat’s pizza… happy to give them a plug!
