Asian Thai Restaurant

Been ordering from this establishment for years. Never had a problem once and the food is great. They have decent prices and fast delivery.

My family are here for years while living in Hyde park, for awhile the food started to go down hill around 09 and 10 but it got better… maybe a new chef… or the old one got his act together. But you can’t go wrong with having a plate there, their crab ragoons are my favorite

This food is awesome Authentic Pad Thai this is the way real Thai restaurants serve, The Crab Rangoon is to Die for, They make everything from scratch every time so things like Spare Rib or Chicken Wing take a little longer, They are not pre cooked Pineapple fried rice with Curry is outstanding All there Thai curry dishes are Authentic, For a small place they do a big Business Very Busy so food is always fresh. You will not go wrong here. Great take if your around this part of town. Really outstanding Beef and Broccoli, The Thai duck with Veggies is also better than most.

The main issue with this restaurant is the inconsistancy. We usually get Chinese or Asian food at Talk and Wok, but once in a while we feel like trying something else. We’ve ordered from Asian Thai probably 10 times total, and I would say 5 of those times, it was great — one or two of those extremely great. The other 5 times, it was no good at all. It seems like they have totally different chefs or recipes different days. The good or bad doesn’t seem to follow a pattern. Sometimes the Tom Yum soup is delicious, and has both chicken and shrimp in it, sometimes it’s terrible and has just one or the other. Sometimes the Pad Thai is truly epic, and again, has lots of chicken AND shrimp, other times it’s horrible and has one or the other, and very little of it. Overall, I think the appetizer type foods are better than the entrees, but again, not consistent. We have always gotten takeout, so I can’t speak to their delivery or eat-​in. The order takers are inconsistent also. I don’t think they’ve ever been rude, but sometimes they seem completely new at English and at order-​taking in general, and it takes about 15 minutes to get them to take a simple order.
So, if you’re in the mood to gamble, give this place a try! You might hit it right and get a great meal.

I love the chicken wings! They deliver, and the food is really good. I’ve been eating there for 8 yrs.

Best Crab Rangoons ever!!! Those really deserve 5 stars, since they got me addicted!!!
Everything else is just OK… Their Basil Fried Rice is really yummy, but stay away from their Pad Thai!!!
The Chicken Fingers are also pretty good, while the Beef Teriyaki is everything else but.
The woman on the phone, that’s taking the orders, seemed to be annoyed every time we called…
So… if you love Crab Rangoons, give this place a go…

This place started off really good. The food was actually not that greasy, icky Chinese take-​out stuff you usually get– they actually cooked in a HEALTHY manner.
It was all fine UNTIL the last TWO times we’ve ordered, the FOOD HAS MADE US SICK/​ILL. Not sure what the magic ingredient may be, but we have thrown away the menu, and will NOT be ordering anything from here ever again.
