If you spent your time improving the quality of the food and the service, you may improve you ratings on Unilocal.Yelpers are detailed and honest about their opinions. They’re not «journalists.» Try to put your efforts on improving your service rather than referring to your journalistic background. I’m not impressed, but would have been were the food and service better. A bad review based on fact (and trend — look at other Unilocal reviews) doesn’t constitute «defacing» an organization. Sorry to let you know — Unilocalers will «gripe» if food/​service is lousy!

After an email received from Jeanine noting that she is upset with this review being anonymous, my name is Pam Young. My review still stands that the food I received was not up to the expectations of what the website sets, regardless of the bad situation with Jeanine’s car.

A few notes to consider:
When you and I spoke on Wednesday, I was not angry; by this point I had received your multiple emails and understood the situation.
I did not ask you to come to Norwood, you offered-​twice, even after I told you it was «a ridiculous long way» to drive down and you could deliver on Thursday and not Wednesday so the drive would not be out of the way.
Items that fall under my definition of poor communication skills:
* when clear instructions are given on a Monday that an email address is not going to be accessible, and that an alternate method should be used to contact a backup for Tuesday’s delivery, and
*calling my husband at his office in Wellesley when it was indicated I would be contacted at my office in Norwood.
Maybe our definitions of poor communication skills are different, my mistake.
I’m not sure what a delivery 6 months ago has to do with this situation and fail to grasp the reason why this would be mentioned in response to my review of the food and communication style.
My review did not claim you were negligent.
While I did wait until the last month to redeem my coupon, I would have been happy to wait a few weeks longer if the end result was receiving quality food. The voucher was for 50% off of a $ 120 order. The quality of food I received was not worth $ 120. Frozen meatballs and chicken fingers do not fit this bill.

Don’t waste your money on this.
We also found this place through the
special, and thought this would be a great opportunity to support a small business and maybe find a new food place.
If I could give back the food to them, I would.
While I do understand that stuff happens with deliveries not showing on time, I do NOT appreciate being duped that the food they brought to us was fresh.
The website offers sample menus which are completely misleading and border on fraud.
We received meatballs that were the same as the frozen ones from the grocery store (served with baked beans), a chicken marsala dish — that was CLEARLY frozen chicken fingers with a sauce (served with green beans so uniform in size, they’re clearly frozen), and a pork porchini dish (I found one mushroom) with mashed potatoes made from flakes.
The only dish that was somewhat close to being ‘gourmet’ was the fish.
The lack of communication during the mishaps of our delivery left me angry, frustrated, and extremely upset with the way the entire situation was handled. There was an issue with the car, and the deliveries for the day were canceled. There were clear instructions given that my husband was leaving work to meet the driver at the delivery point, and he was never contacted that they would not show. He wasted 1.5 hours of his time and was late for a client meeting because of the lack of communication. The second attempt at delivery there were clear instructions for the driver to call me at my office, and my husband was called.
I do need to comment that with the debacle of a delivery situation, they did try to rectify the situation and tried to be accommodating. Its too bad the quality of the food and communications skills are so poor. The concept is a very good one and I hope that they get their act together and succeed.

I too ordered Living Social Deals of Chef Mobile through Living Social. It is clear that the expectations of the Living Social deal surpassed the ability of Le Chef. Of course everyone waiting till the expiration date to use the certificates didn’t help nor does it make it okay for the confusion. The owner was quick to come back and recitify the mix up of the meals and also responded right away to my comments here on Unilocal.They are trying and hopefully will get it right in the near future!

I ordered the meals here with the Living Social Deal. The process was mostly smooth… a small mix up with day, but it was easily resolved and they were willing to shlep out to my work with the food, which was very much appreciated.
It was very nice to have meals pre-​made and ready to go. But unfortunately, I found the food disappointing. I had salmon, which was good, and meatballs, which were pretty good. The other two meals I got were pork ribs, which was disappointing in itself to get two meals that were basically the same. But more disappointing when I tasted them… I didn’t end up eating all of them from both meals. The sides were mostly good though.
Overall, the convenience was nice, but the food wasn’t good enough for me to order again.

The short-​lived relationship started when I received an email offer from «Living Social.» The idea sounded great; eight catered dinners for $ 60. Both my husband and I work full time, so we thought this could be a service that we might take advantage of. Boy was I wrong.
My husband wrote to them (and CC’d me) that were rarely eat meat-​mostly vegetarian– but do eat chicken and fish. What showed up at our door: sliced pork and a meatloaf (to be fair, so did a some fish).
I immediately contacted the owner who replied, «It was not indicated on the form.» I pulled up the email that my husband had sent, but she had no interest in discussing this, even after a few emails.
While the fish was pretty good, the ¼ cup of what appeared to be frozen corn along with carrots and peas was sub-​standard. In addition, the other sides were heavy on the rice.
Conclusion: Not a fan. If you’re short on time save yourself the headache and invest in a $ 30 George Foreman grill and stop by Whole Foods for a piece of fresh fish or chicken.
