Good service, great presentation… food tasted great. I got an omelette with sausage cheese and tomatoes. I got fruit since i am gluten free i cant eat toast and the hashbrowns are made on the same top as pancakes and other wheat based products. Service was good, prices are high. But it looked pretty.

I just enjoyed a fantastic meal at Miel, from start to finish. It began with a cocktail, the Elderflower Raspberry Sour. Delicious! While we waited for our appetizers we enjoyed the complimentary fresh French bread, olive oil and tapenade spread they offer. Then my wife delighted in her fresh beet salad while I devoured the seared scallop appetizer. The scallops were very flavorful, though slightly overcooked. Next came the main courses and they were all fantastic. I enjoyed the«Fundy» salmon dish while my wife tried the Cod and my uncle the risotto. Everyone was very pleased with their dishes. We ended with cappuccinos and chocolate pot de crème. My only complaint would be the music. When we first arrived it was a pleasant mix of classical, but at some point they began play house dance music. It was entirely out of place in this beautiful, relaxing dining hall. After a while, the incessant thumping of the beats mixed with the repeating bass line grew quite tiresome. I have visited Miel once before and they did not play this kind of music the first time. Perhaps it’s a Friday night thing? Otherwise, it was a nearly perfect dining experience.

It’s a fun place to eat, the Intercontinental is very lively. They get an A for atmosphere. But the food, for the price is mediocre. I had the tuna tartare as an appetizer and it was tasteless. For my entrée I chose the duck and it was tasty but very tough and difficult to eat. We ordered oysters, which were not shucked correctly and there wasn’t any information about where they were from. When you are usually spending that much on oysters, they pay better attention. I would go back for the cocktails and the ambiance, but probably not eat at the restaurant. PS. This is really not a French restaurant. If you want traditional French, you will be disappointed.

Weirdly empty and awkward. Large room with no one in it. Now I know why. Food is indifferent at best and awful in general. French fries were very cold and after mentioning that, they came back to the table having obviously been microwaved. Grilled shrimp were badly over cooked. Waiter was well-intentioned but was a bit intrusive and in your face. Valet parking was a whopping $ 25!!! Will not return.

Pancakes. Pancakes. Pancakes. This is Intercontinental’s provincial themed Brasserie(translation: French themed Hotel Coffee Shop). We had 3 meals here(a-la-carte breakfast, a-la-carte lunch, and a breakfast buffet), each of which was decent but nothing to write home about. The lobster roll at lunch was good, the lobster omelette at breakfast was dried out and under seasoned, but the ham and mushroom omelette with cheddar(breakfast buffet service) was excellent after we requested that eggs be less done. However, the absolute star of the show were the pancakes… They are possibly some of the best pancakes in America. Absolutely perfect. Don’t know how they get that perfect flavor with complexity and texture, but I imagine it’s exceptionally hard to do.

It had been a little while since I’d been to Miel, but we decided to go for a drink on a nice day this week. I forgot how great the back patio is. There is a great view of the water, the Tea Party Museum and the Children s Museum. The patio is set behind the tall Intercontinental Hotel, so after about 2−3pm in the summer it gets shady and the temperature becomes manageable. They have some great cocktail options including pitchers of sangria or mojitos. Miel is also a great restaurant for food too, so if you’re hungry definitely grab a bite!

Had breakfast there on Sunday morning. Service was painfully slow. Mediocre food at high prices. How can a restaurant like this not have cream or half and half available for your coffee… I would go elsewhere for the food and service. The patio has a nice view though.

It’s a convenient place to eat for guests of the intercontinental hotel. The ambience is beautiful; the restaurant is located next to the harbor, and one can see the river and probably some shops from the window. However, the food is a little disappointing. I’m not saying it’s not good; the food is fine, but it does not does not look like it is served by a beautiful restaurant, with the price on the menu. Not worth it.

Staying in the Intercontinental, Miel was the obvious choice for breakfast. After perusing the lovely menu, we decided on the breakfast buffet. Normally, I am not one for buffets, but this looked to good to pass up. The scrambled eggs were delicious, the fruit was fresh, and the croissants were fabulous. Great coffee, great orange juice, and great ambiance. The country french theme was on point and the place is right on the harbor. You can sit outside if you prefer. It is, however, a bit pricey as you would expect. $ 32 pp for the breakfast buffet. I usually wouldn’t go for that, but it was a special occasion. Our waiter left something to be desired as well. It was as if he had totally forgotten about us unless he accidentally made eye contact with us. Luckily, we were in no rush. If you are looking for a yummy, inexpensive option in the same area, try Sorelle’s around the corner. Great coffee!

Ambiance: beautiful, right by the water. Umbrellas at each table. Tables are somewhat close together Food: just ok, but for the price, you’re definitely not getting what you paid for. Generous portions. Niçoise salad was just good, salmon dish was ok. Service: a disaster. You will wait about 45 minutes to see any food come your way. Waiters are friendly but just not on top of it. Maybe will come back, maybe not. Bön apetit?

Its not about how you fall but how you get up. In past visits, we had the buona fortuna of enjoying a tour of what was the lovely, lovely, LOVELY décor, the olive room and its majestic table and olive oil chandelier. The brunch they once had, has changed, but the food is flawless nonetheless. Its mothers day 2015, and they charge $ 68 pp for a 3 course menu. I’d love to post pictures of the beautiful food and the INCREDIBLE dessert spread. But we were sat in the table in the land that people forgot, and we suffered from head scratching and A-typical«they forgot us in a corner» service. But the food was delectable other than the delicious house-cured salmon came out with a perfectly toasted(ANDCOLD) bagel. PERFECT Crab cakes. Hefty, yet delicately dressed burrata salad. Amazingly delicate and delicious nicoise salad, and a scrumptious duck breast! But I would also have to post pictures of the back bench, on the table time forgot, with the moldy and TORN/WORN seating, floor covered with bacon and cantaloup from the early morning crowd and a torn upholstry. N A S T Y. Its mothers day, and I didn’t want my family to feel bad about their choice. Because I love the food, and their Manager Kathia is simply adorable. But we should’ve moved tables. PRONTO. We had a chat with Katia, who was horrified that I had the willies sitting where I was. She did ask«what can I do to make it better», but I think her horror and embarrassment for a situation that is out of her hands(If the hotel doesn’t invest in broken chairs to be fixed…) and her control. So I tweeted. And IHG cut me off by sending me to the HOTELGM. 5 stars for service. Customer service. NO, we didn’t chew and screw. We paid. $ 225 for a brunch. On a GORGEOUS Mothers Day morning. With a city view. In a beautiful hotel. In the back of the room. Where time forgot it and us. Where the managers would NEVER sit their OWN mothers. I hope they clean it up. Because it would be sad that this GREAT restaurant continue to decay without love…

MIel is a classic French restaurant at the Intercontinental. The hotel itself is located at the banks of the Fort Point Channel of which the restaurant provides great views. This is steps away from popular attractions such as the Boston Tea Party & Ships museum and the Boston Children’s museum across the channel. The views and the ambience were great. The table ordered the scallops entrée, shrimp cocktail and NY strip. The scallops were good except my palate couldn’t reconcile the bean-olive mixture it was topped with. The strip came out well-done as opposed to medium, an error one would not expect at this price point. This was supposed to be a quiet restaurant but the noise level is very dependent on the level of noise from the bar it is adjacent to. Summary: A ok, satisfying; but not blown away.

Super cute place! Perfect for dates. The dining area is huge, bright, and open. Very friendly and relaxed ambience. I felt like I stepped into a French palace. The service here is amazing! And their bread basket is on point. I highly recommend Miel to anyone looking for a thoughtfully crafted meal. They can definitely be a but pricey so if you wanna try it out while saving some money, come for brunch! Their beignets are to die for. I wish I just got two orders of them as my entrée. They keep their own bees so come and try a dish with honey sourced from the hotel itself! The eggs Benedict was cooked to perfect and the presentation was incredible too. All of my friends were very happy with our dining experience so we’ll definitely be back!

Brunch very expensive and if you are towards the end nothing get replenished How about a sign which tells diners what time brunch is over or a heads up from the waiter or hostess if you are arriving near the closing time. Marriott does it much better for half the price.

A solid night here on Valentine’s Day. Service was impeccable — the waitress was very accommodating to help make this a special night. Service was also not too intrusive, which is a plus, especially on a romantic night such as Valentine’s. The spotlight of the night however was the little sprinkle of additions the restaurant provided, ranging from the single rose and box of Godiva chocolates given to their patrons to the manager personally coming over and providing a love-lock with a brief history session of the French bridge(which, ironically, is quite a sad story to be sharing on Valentine’s Day. google it and you’ll understand!) Food wasn’t too shabby and was based on a special Valentine’s prix fixe menu — the 1st course stood out the most, a shrimp and crab salad. Absolutely fresh and delicious, sprinkled with candied pistachios. We also ordered an extra dish, the french onion soup, which looked great but tasted standard. The Seared Tenderloin of Beef — we ordered was also great — soft, juicy, tender. The red velvet whoopie pie, which looked amazing, was slightly dry and not impressive. The Chilled Rosemary White Chocolate and Strawberry Soufflé on the other hand was amazing — creamy, and filled with frozen pieces of stawberries which added a delight in texture and temperature. Pricing was okay — perhaps not the best value, as the two desserts were shared(so basically three courses for $ 80pp).

Thoroughly enjoyed our meal here. Despite being on the pricy side and lacking a little charm just because of its location in a large hotel, my meal was so good that I can’t give this place less than four stars. We shared a French Onion Soup(yummy), and I had the delicious duck while my girlfriend had the salmon. My duck was smothered in honey and served atop a sweet potato mash. It was really sweet but not overwhelming. I tried a piece of my girlfriend’s salmon but it was only okay. We finished off with a couple of desserts and left feeling fat and happy. Bonus points for still serving past 10:30pm, having very good service, and providing a pretty nice view of the waterfront.

I work nearby and have breakfast there a couple of times per month. I would not go there but I am not the one making the reservation. In 2 ½ years, I have NEVER had a meal there that did not have a service issue. The wrong plates going to the wrong people, the food not prepared as asked, very slow and unresponsive service, etc. Today I got the wrong omelet — twice! I asked to keep my muffin, which they brought back into the kitchen and never brought it back until I asked. When they did bring it back out it was barely toasted. Never once did I get an apology. The service there is just consistently awful and if I didn’t have to go there I would never do so.

My coworkers and I enjoyed a nice lunch outside overlooking the water on a beautiful day… what’s not to like? The service was attentive and professional, the patio was great and the food was delicious. I enjoyed the beet ravioli with artichoke and lemon zest… just the right portion and fantastic flavors.

Good French food. Went with a party of 14 and our server attended very patiently and nicely with all of us. He helped us with making right choices. Everyone loved their dish. Friends raved about scallops and lamb chops in entrees. I enjoyed my chicken. Upscale ambience definitely and lil on the expensive side. We had a good experience.

Came here for lunch. This place is very spacious and beautifully decorated. The chairs are wicker and not very comfortable or sturdy. The service was pretty slow, but friendly. They got our orders wrong, but quickly corrected them. I had the burger. The brioche bun was warm and delicious, and the burger was well seasoned. The truffle fries were wonderful.
