This place seems cool, I guess. But the menu was very disappointing. Seemed to be only like two or three rolls and I know if we are there myself and my friends would have still been hungry.

Fresh, high quality fish, expertly prepared. If you are looking for sushi where the fish is the star, this is for you. The marinated, and smoked salmon is amazing.

Sushiteq left much to be desired especially for a waterfront location in Boston. Menu was limited, fish was mediocre, awkward seating but at least the service was attentive. If you’re in the area and you don’t want to venture too far out, I guess this is a safe choice. Otherwise, I would go elsewhere. I would probably only return for the margaritas.

Gorgeous place, unique sushi and good customer service. Although it’s a little pricey, the sushi came out swiftly and well done. 4 stars! YEY!

This place is mediocre at best. Wife and I were wanting something easy for dinner(no reservations, etc.) so we decided to try out this sushi place as it was in our hotel. From the moment we walked in we noticed the terrible customer service. Staff here seem rather uninterested in seeing how you are doing or how you are enjoying the food. They appeared too caught up in their own personal conversations amongst themselves. Not only this but witnessed a waitress eating right behind the sushi bar then immediately grab our food and delivered it to our table, all without washing her hands. Fish is fresh but sashimi servings were rather small for the price. Avocado included on the rainbow as well as the avo-sake rolls was not fresh. The other roll we had, forget the name but it was a special roll with roasted bell pepper, seemed interesting but just did not work. Also the theme behind the restaurant is a little lost on me. Sushi tequila bar? Maybe I am missing something but this just seems weird.

This little sushi place inside the Intercontinental is ok if you’re in a pinch. But coming from Los Angeles with our wealth of sushi options, it left much to be desired. They are probably better for drinks and appetizers — with all of the specialty tequila drinks on the menu.

Nice restaurant inside the hotel. It’s small and cozy. Service was fast and friendly and very helpful. Couldn’t try the cocktails as I didn’t have ID on me. Sushi is pricy but very good by American standards. Japanese folks or real sushi enthusiasts will find it a bit strange and less than authentic but it was fine for a small dinner. 8 pieces of nigiri omakase add up to 34 dollars, plus 5 dollars for green tea and 6 for misoshiru. Definitely too costly to go back.

I went in, sat at the bar and asked for a vegetable wrap without rice. At the entrance they said they could accommodate, but the sushi bar would not. I am sure they could have done something for me, but no…

I ate here during a snowstorm this past winter since it was in the hotel where I was staying. The sushi is perfectly fresh and acceptable if nothing truly original or exciting. However, the well-meaning service was not very attentive. I hated the high-top tables and the driving techno soundtrack, which was WAY too loud to allow for normal conversation.

Given Boston cost of living, and that its nestled adorably in the Intercontinental, the price per roll is actually well executed. Not the most inexpensive sushi you’ll have, but not the most unaffordable. I watched as tables were served, and they are plump and tight, so you know you are getting quality for what you are going to pay. That said, their deliciously crafted sushi is severely underplayed by a well orchestrated, fun and professional staff!!! We trekked out on a GORGEOUS evening for a Japanese Scotch — Whisky pairing. Since we are newbies to this newfound vice, we thought it would be interesting to sample high end Japanese scotch without making a commitment to a pricey bottle we would regret in the morning… $ 85, 4 courses. KAWABUNGA! I’m in. They start the pairing greeting you at the door ANDTHEYKNOWEVERYONE’S NAME — they couldn’t personalize this ANY better if they tried! The cocktail, crafted by their exotic mixologist Laris, featured a smoky number tamed and well rounded with honey from the Intercontinental Rooftop honeybees, lemon and black tea. It was a great way to tame smoke and put it in perspective. When I interviewed Laris, he confessed that he had to whip something up using one of the whiskeys that would not go into the actual pairing(so you got 5 tastings in essence that later wound up being 6!). In 4 minutes he had something in front of the boss. And they went with it. And we were blown away with the simplicity of the alchemy, yet the complexity of flavors put together in a very non pretentious way. Refreshing, a fantastic way to open the palate, yet not cloyingly sweet it made you feel like a freshman on spring break(I hate sweet drinks). One would never think about having whiskey or scotch with dinner(unless its a huge fatty porterhouse), but if you are going to be experimenting with this type of booze, you HAVE to eat. Japanese booze + japanese food = yeah! The chef is a HOOT! Which adds to the joy of having a meal at Sushiteq. Cocky — he is entitled, man is he proud to serve his food and his staff! He crafted dishes specifically for the dinner, not on the menu. The craziest one was the first pairing, where he took smoked salmon and made a plump roll(SPECTACULARSUSHIRICE!) and included chopped green apple! It really rounded out the nuances of a 12 year old HIBIKI, which I think will be one of my favorites! Chef Take self confessed to some fast-food addictions imposed by his little tribe… but his secret is safe here, as long as he keeps on shipping those wonderful puppies out of the kitchen… :-) He and the great staff, hailing the delightful and well tequila-versed Katia(what a gem of a lady!) are tequila experts that do the incredible wall of fame justice and half. Im looking forward to a tequila-sushi pairing dinner, and the opening of a well lit and warmed cozy, by the water seating. I look forward to seeing Katia and the crew again — their service was fantastic, which guaranteed the success of the meal. They are all so sweet, I think they could serve you shoe strings with soy sauce, and you’d just eat and smile at them because they make you feel like a million buck! All this by the water, at sunset, with city lights twinkling while young and beautiful single ladies prance in and out enjoying a healthy dose of Omegas!!!

A well-architectured place hidden inside the Intercontinental Hotel. I wouldn’t say this is the best sushi I’ve ever had, but it tasted quite delicious. The service was quick, but keep in mind I was there around 6:30 on a Monday, which isn’t their peak time. A lot of wine and sake choices. I had the miso soup to start, which was very good.(But, I don’t think I’ve ever had bad miso soup). When the sushi came out, it was plated beautifully. I had the eel and avocado, which was warm and had a good amount of eel sauce for me. I also had the rainbow roll, which was quite good. I wish they listed all the fish that was used in it on the menu. Overall a good experience, and would go back again. I would not recommend this restaurant for groups over 4 people since the restaurant itself is quite small.

This is a cute little gem tucked away in the corner of the Intercontinental Hotel. The sushi is good. The spicy margarita is EXTREMELY spicy and there was a good selection of sake. We ordered the Greenway which is a mix of mexican veggies and tuna — different in a good way. We also got the spicy tuna roll and scallop roll which were both good and exactly what we expected. The service started out really great but then they sort of just forgot about us towards the end and we were waiting for about 20 minutes for the check. Overall a good experience though!

The sushi was fresh & unique. Smaller place w/cool atmosphere and a good local gem. Four stars here because the only disappointing thing is that the waiter forgot about us after we ordered. Oh and the jalapeño margarita was fresh and delicious!

A cute little sushi restaurant in the Intercontinental Hotel with fresh sushi and a great tequilla selection. The menu is very limited and the food is more expensive than most sushi places, but I’m a big fan of the sushi and tequilla concept. If you’re into the big fancy sushi rolls, this probably isn’t the place for you as they don’t have a ton of options. But the simple rolls are great and they have sashimi and nigiri as well which I’ve yet to try here.

Great service, great views of the water whether you are inside or on their patio, and a great tequila bar menu. The sushi menu on the other hand, while fine, was fairly limited. The roll I had was the Fort Point roll. It was decent but probably wouldn’t order it again. As far as specialty rolls go there was only one other one. So if you are a sushi purist you should be satisfied with the menu. Otherwise, stay for the views and the cocktails and pass on the sushi.

The concept is unique — sushi and tequila. Three stars for just that alone! It’s just above a hole-in-the-wall located in the hotel. We were there on business and came across this establishment. Sushi was a non-plus, the chefs are Japanese(again a stars), and the sushi is fine, but their selection is spotty(no uni when we were there). I suspect it would be difficult to keep a wide selection given the size and location. What was there was good. Tequila selection is good — they had Sauza Hornitos Anjo, but not Tequila Alquimia. Regardless, it’s a neat place to go just for the experience of sushi and tequila.

Anywhere that mixes sushi with tequila is good in my book. I’m a veggie so can’t speak to the freshness of their fish but the greenaway is delicious. As are the simple rolls such as cucumber and avocado. The margaritas are the perfect balance of tangy and sweet and the desserts are also yum. Chocolate molten cake anyone(to die for!). I also like bopping to the salsa music and looking out at the great view. The staff are also v friendly. Its a tiny place, they don’t take reservations and it is quite expensive and definitely not a traditional sushi place. But I love it. The combination of all of the above makes for a great night out!

1 part coolness of a very hot spot 1 part funky restaurant space with a truly unique concept(uh, that being sushi and tequila) 1 part awesome staff mix it up with some great friends and savor! The quality of food is second to none; fresh as if it were pulled from the sea before you arrived, creatively prepared — all in a great space. In the summer months, the InterContinental Hotel is THE place to be. Sure, it’s pricey at SushiTeq but the quality, ambiance and service outweigh the cost. I would DEFINITELY return.

There’s not much to say about this place. If you’re staying in the area and want sushi, it’s probably a safe bet, but I wouldn’t make a special trip for it. The fish was fresh and delicious, but wasn’t exceptional. The atmosphere is fun, but it’s a small place, and the seating is a big awkward. I imagine that at night this is a reasonable place to go and drink and hit on other hotel-goers, but beyond that, you’re probably better off exploring other lunch and dinner venues.

It is an interesting concept mixing Sushi and Tequila, but it seems to work. While staying at the Intercontinental hotel we decided to try Sushi-Teq for dinner. Décor is very modern, clean, and appealing. The sushi is excellent and some of the best I’ve ever had. Everything was so light, fresh, and flavorful. Drinks are creative and very good. Our server told us it takes them 45 minutes to prepare just the sushi rice. The menu is limited and pricey with four rolls and two margaritas coming to $ 70.

7 of us went to sushi teq for dinner. the dinner was $ 45 each person, but we ALL got charged $ 54 on your credit card. one of my friends noticed on her credit card statement, otherwise we would never find out about this. this practice is def not ethical! although food at sushi-teq was not bad, it is not«destination-worthy» to make the trip here just to eat at sushi-teq(not to mention parking is always real pain in the butt). it’s VERY over-priced for what it is. fusion; hard to tell the freshness of the fish because even their nigiris had some kinda dressing on it, but i guess it’s relatively fresh? Toru Oga’s Oga’s Japanese Cuisine in Natick is a lot better than sushi teq although i do see a lot similarities. i dont recommend coming to this place unless you are already nearby and really really craving sushi and tequila/drinks at the same time. if you dont mind blowing a few benjamins, o ya is walking distance and serves mind blowing sushi.

While staying in the Intercon, My husband and I had stepped out the back door for a walk along the board walk and I brought up the idea of finding somewhere for super. I was just joining my husband who had already been there for a few days and had Sushi-Teq on his list of ideas. We went in on the way back into the hotel, and the server was ready and attentive. The décor is very modern with neat LED wall panels. I appreciate the cleanliness as well as the sufficient space between tables. The windows over looking the boardwalk were also a plus. We ordered two of the Tequila samplers, which were of six varieties with lime and orange wedges, plus cinnamon and sea salt. We started with some perfectly cooked Edamame. Following was a delicious Tuna Tataki, then Spicy Salmon rolls and the Innovation Sampler. Everything tasted fresh and was well put together. This was enough to satisfy the two of us before a night on the town. If one server was busy, there was another that would gladly check up to make sure your waters were full and you had everything you needed. I also appreciated her bringing an extra set of napkins and chopsticks that carry their logo — for my scrap book Overall, we enjoyed our meal and would return again.
