Would not schedule my Groupon car service for months. They will take cash though!

Before you even consider going to these guys, take a look at their reviews over the past two years. If 13 out of 14 of the most recent reviews are one or two stars, you should probably avoid.
I brought my car to the Kendall location for a full detail. The guy I spoke with on location was very friendly and professional. I went to pick my car up after hours and it looked great at first. Started it up and noticed my passenger headlight was out, so I called the next day and spoke with the owner. This is when things took a turn for the worst. The owner immediately began accusing me of lying, trying to rip him off and blame him for something his guys didn’t do. He told me he would pull the footage of me entering the garage to see if one headlight was out when I dropped it off (which it wasn’t). We agreed to meet at that location to discuss. He texted that morning and told me the cameras were down and he couldn’t pull the footage. I called the garage to confirm and they told me there was nothing wrong with the cameras. He’s now telling me to «take him to court».
There are plenty of detail options out there where the owner doesn’t act like a 12 year old and actually treats customers like human beings, give them your business instead of this guy.

If I could give no stars I would, purchased a Groupon here and it stated that i had to make an appointment by phone, one week before my car is the wedding car for my brothers wedding and i bought the voucher 4 days ago and been calling and leaving messages upon request and never received anything back, so I decided 4 days later I would go in and book it in person.
On the website it says open till 5pm, when I got there there was a secretary and a detailer there, both with very limited english saying we just closed sorry this was at 1pm, could not help me, they both said to call and make an appointment and I stated that I have been for many days now. I ended up cancelling the voucher and the worst of all is that the place was located in a underground parking lot and it cost me $ 11 just to leave the place.!! Absolutely disgraceful service! Very disappointing.

They treat Groupon customers like dirt and would not schedule an appointment for months.

Called today (July 22^nd) for an appointment — lady said I couldn’t get in until September because I was a Groupon customer. Told her «okay I’ll pay cash». Miraculously they had openings. Only giving 2 stars because I did pay cash during a previous visit and they did do an okay job. I WAS a customer of this place but not anymore. Poor business practice. Don’t offer yourself on Groupon if you can’t live up to the offer. Better yet, limit the quantity you sell and you can avoid these situations and won’t lose otherwise loyal customers.

I don’t usually write reviews but I wanted to give my thanks to the guys at the Boston Common Parking Garage. They had my car looking fresh out the car lot after the detail. They obviously couldn’t get rid of every blemish and they did a hell of a job. I dropped my car off early and didn’t even have to really check on them while I went on about my day. I hate to read these reviews below and people are so petty about what they give ratings for. Their work is excellent when you allow them the time they need to meet your standards, I already recommended 3 other people to their services since I had my accord detailed on Thursday. My only grudge with the overall service is there was no communication on their end. I never got a call when my car was done. It was a cause for concern but in hindsight its a minor issue because they gave instructions on where to find your car keys. I do wish they communicated better but n\Im very satisfied overall.

Remember that skit on the Chapelle show about the copy shop training video? The customer service is like that. Add $ 37 for parking which no one tells you beforehand. I got a living social voucher for ‘presidential’ service which was supposed to include clay bar and interior detail. Got the car back with smudges on the glass, parts left un-​buffed, wax still in the joints of the body panels, plastic trim looks like it wasn’t even washed and I’m pretty sure there was no clay bar service. Interior was decent though which was the only good thing about it. At least living social refunded the parking fee. Save your money, use another service it would be hard to find a worse one!

I had purchased this deal through LivingSocal. 8am was the appointment I had scheduled for. I drop the car off, and the person who was going to be cleaning says says pick it up again around 5pm. The detailing last about 6 hours, they said if you read the fine print, they will let you know when you can pick up your vehicle. I mentioned to them that they should communicate that on the phone as a courtesy and the guy tells me «not to tell me how to run my business».
Anyways, I wanted to forget all this just happened and turn back around. He said he will clean my car 1^st as there are other cars in the lot. 5 hours go by and i get a call to go to pick up my car.
1^st impression, the exterior, spotless. The interior, the reason I had wanted to have it done «professionally» very much sub-​par. The seats were vacuumed but debris was still present underneath the seats. The back, the floors still had some residue present. The tough to reach areas, still dirty.
Overall not a good experience. Add the $ 36.00 garage fee, that’s a slap in the face. Overall disappointed with the service.

I really hate to write a bad review, and this could have been just a one-​off with a bad apple employee, but this is like the bad gift that keeps on giving. Hand washed the car this weekend to get the pollen off and the residual was they left on all gummed up and streaked… what a mess. I’ve only got an Acura, but there were $ 100k+ Benzes and Teslas in line… I would have lost my MIND if they had done this to a decent car. I reiterate… if you are an auto enthusiast with a high-​end car, you will be worse off for going here. I’m going to have to take the car to Bradford Auto Wax (my usual go-​to detailer) and have the whole thing redone by a professional.

Like another reviewer, i received a very nasty Unilocal message from an employee shortly after I wrote my review. It was the guy that I handed my keys to… I can recognize him from the picture. He wrote me to tell me that I was full of s**t.
Also, I will add that I had purchased two groupons and did take a new car back on October 12 to the Commons garage. This time they did a much better job, however the employee this time was extremely rude. He seemed as though he had no idea that he was going to have to detail a car that day and I had ruined his whole Saturday. He told me that I had to find my own parking spot, and «good luck because the garage is really full right now.» I parked one isle over. When he called to tell me that my car was done he sounded equally as miserable.
I do appreciate receiving a message from the owner trying to make things right, but after two bad experiences I just won’t go back again.

Don’t get your car detailed at Mr. Perfection — I purchased a Groupon for them a month ago and have tried numerous times to call and make an appt — I only get a voicemail system, and no one has returned my calls. What service! Very upset.

I would bring my car here again, over priced for what you get even when using a Groupon. I purchased a Groupon for $ 80 for the $ 200 Presidential Deluxe package that is supposed to include exterior wash, remove bugs & road tar, clay, buff, & hand wax exterior paint, clean & dress rims, tires, & wheel wells; clean door jambs, detail all cracks & crevices. Vacuum interior, steam clean all carpets, floor mats & upholstery; clean & condition leather/​vinyl, detail dash, clean headliner, air freshener.
Had I spent $ 50 I might have been happy as my car got a good exterior wash and the floor mats and carpets were steam cleaned. However if I had spent the original $ 200 price tag for what I received I would have been very upset.
I don’t think that they did the bugs, road tar, clay, or buff and am beginning to wonder about the hand wax. When I picked up my car there were still several spots on it from bird crap that had happened only a couple of days before I brought it in.
They did clean and dress the rims and tires. I keep a pretty clean car but living in the city it is hard to clean it yourself so the one area that gets build up is the door jambs and was hoping that they would do a good job with that but there is still a lot of build up in the rear door jambs and the trunk door jamb. I don’t think they touched the trunk at all.
When I dropped off my car I had winter rubber floor mats in and I put the carpeted mats in the trunk. I asked them if they would clean both and they told me as long as they belong to my car they would because they’ve had other people put mats in that belong to other cars to get them cleaned for free. I assured him that they were the original mats that belonged to my vehicle. Well, the carpeted mats that were in my trunk got cleaned but the rubber winter mats did not get touched and were just thrown in the trunk.
I don’t know if they just do a half-​ass job because of the Groupon but that should be a reason to do a really good job. Using the Groupon, I am a first time customer. Had they done a really good job, I would be back and paying full price.

One downfall of living in the city for people who love to hand wash their own car (like myself) is the obvious lack of driveway and hose — leading me to buy the Groupon when I saw it.
Just picked my car up from being detailed and I’m very happy. Car was filthy outside and so/​so on the inside when I dropped it off. When I picked it up both were perfect. I did see a trivial amount of brake dust left on a couple of my wheels but no big deal. I dropped it off at 9am and got a call at about 3:30p that it was done.
FYI — I used the Atlantic Wharf (280 Congress St) location. I also left a lot of valuables in the vehicle and the trunk and nothing is missing. That was my biggest concern before I left my car so I figured I would pass that along.
Only reason I gave them 4 stars is because I had to wait almost 2 months for an appointment and you have to pay a $ 20 parking fee.

I used a Groupon today for my Jeep Grand Cherokee at the Atlantic Wharf Congress Street location. I did book about 2 months before I needed it done, so I did not have an issue with an appointment.
I dropped my car off just before 9a. The guy there took my keys and told me it would take about 6 hours, and that he would call me if it was done earlier. Around 3p I received a call (right at the 6 hour mark) and he said my car was done. I went to pick it up at 3:30p, it looked great. The outside shiny as new. The inside pristine. My car was gross when I brought it in.
I did notice that the carpets and mats were slightly damp still. He told me the mats were still in the trunk, along with my rubber mats, because they were not dry, and to let it air out a few hours before replacing everything.
Overall, very happy. And the guy at Atlantic Wharf (I don’t know his name), did a great and thorough job.

I could wright a novel about the awful customer service I experienced before, during, and after I used the Groupon here for my auto detail, but I will focus on the horrible smell in my car.
I brought my car in to be detailed on Saturday and to the specific location they had given me, but when I get there they tell me it’s the wrong one.
Not a good start, but the «correct» location was only a couple blocks away; so, I didn’t make a fuss. I dropped off my car and the man said it would be ready in four hours, if it was ready any sooner he would call me, and if he was gone, he would leave my keys in the lobby. I get there right at fours hours, he is gone, and my keys are not in the lobby. I eventually find my keys in a random security office where they just hand them to me with no proof or explanation.
The second I get in the car I notice the smell. It smelled like an old, damp, mildewed basement. He obviously didn’t dry any of the carpeting in my car, but I figured it was just the mats. I spent most of Saturday and Sunday, driving around trying to air it out. This morning I get in the car and it is even worse. I inspect the mats and determine the mats smell a little, but it’s mostly the carpeted floor underneath! This is unacceptable because it means they didn’t wait for anything to dry and just threw the even wetter mats on top.
I called this morning and the manager was very helpful. Her name was Tammy and she told me that her boss said I can bring it back in and they will clean it. This solution doesn’t really work for me because they are only operated downtown (I work in Waltham) and are only operational during business hours. I know I wouldn’t be able to get there until Saturday and this would be too long to make sure the smell goes away. Tammy said this was the only solution her boss offered, but that I can call him. She gave me his number and name, Larry.
Little did I know this was the last time I would be speaking to a rational, nice human being. Larry is the OWNER of Mr. Perfection and probably one of the rudest people I have ever dealt with in my life. He told me I was a liar and they do a great good and there was nothing wrong with my car. He told me he would have to see it for himself because he knows there’s no way anything could be wrong. He told me I probably had my trunk packed with stuff (I had completely cleaned it out that morning) and that is why he couldn’t put the mats in there to dry. I told him as calmly as I could several times that my car most definitely smelled, my trunk had been cleaned out, and that the solution he was offering would not work. He kept making more excuses and did not offer an alternative solution. The carpets need to be cleaned immediately; so, it’s not a permanent smell. I suggested he refund enough money so that I could just get the carpets fixed, somewhere nearby, immediately, He yelled some more about how horrible Groupon is and they haven’t even paid him; so how could he give me a cent of money he didn’t have. He then told me since I payed Groupon and you all have his money that I should deal with you. I am loosing money as it is because I am going to have to get my whole car shampooed today after work.

Rogelio, you only perpetuate everything I wrote about your bad attitudes and horrible customer service by insulting me because I am not happy with the service you provided.

Used a Groupon for the full detailing here at the Boston Commons location with Adam. We came with our car after a 1000+ mile road trip, so the exterior was mighty salty and in need of some serious tlc. Adam was GREAT and left the car looking fantastic, better than when we bought it pre-​owned a few months ago. Both interior and exterior looked excellent; absolutely no swirl marks in the clear coat, wheels looked like new, and everything smelled amazing. Full shampoo on all the floor mats, everything was clean and residue-​free inside.
This was a great location, as we had lunch and shopped while we waited for the car. Would definitely ask Adam to detail the car again, very good overall experience.

I bought a groupon for the «presidential deluxe» detailing and I was not impressed. I scheduled my appointment at the One Financial Center garage. I dropped my car off to two young kids and I was skeptical. When I returned, the outside of my car looked nice but It looked like they just vacuumed the inside of my car and that was it. I thought for sure they would steam the floor mats, clean the dust of the vents and clean out the cup holders. I could have done a much better job myself and I know there are car washes in my area that would do a better job for roughly $ 20. This is totally not worth it. Save your money.

Used a groupon at motor Mart, which wasn’t too bad to find and get into. After paying for parking and a tip (he did a great job), price wasn’t super cheap, but still very reasonable — especially for how good my car looked.
Roger worked on my car, was really nice and friendly, and just did a great job. I have a 2000 black ford mustang w chrome rims and he shined it up real purty.

I had a group on several months ago for this service. Unlike other reviewers, I didn’t have a long wait, but Mr. P struck out:
Strike 1:
–I scheduled an appointment and left my car over the weekend and they didn’t service it! So I had to re-​schedule and drop it off again.
Strike 2:
–I had to pay for parking. (Which wasn’t mentioned in the groupon.)
Strike 3:
–I picked up my car after hours and they were supposed to leave my keys with parking office. So I had to come back with my spare key, get the car and come back another time to pick up my key.
Ohh as for the detailing of my car? I give it a B-​. The car was wet and smelled like Windex for several days. I know some people dig the smell, but I’m not a fan.

I know that Mr. P. sold ~1000 Groupons, and that we’re getting discounted service, but 45 days is ridiculous. My review will remain one star until they stop treating Groupon users like second-​class citizens.
