Food was ok. For a mall lunch it was what I expected. What I did not appreciate, and what I am writing this review, was the poor customer service. Servers and cashiers were rude and could not care less that I was purchasing their product. Never again.

It started with a sample of my favorite«Bourbon Chicken» I think they sprinkle something addictive on it because ever since I’ve being eating there almost every day. Everything there is yummy and the staff is nice.

So it finally happened. Both the munchkin and I got suckered by the burbon chicken sample as we walked around this food court… We were wandering around here seeing how hungry we were and both of us really liked the burbon chicken sample enough we decided to get a plate for dinner and share it. So we ended up getting the burbon chicken combo which came with the burbon chicken and 2 sides. We got mac n cheese and corn per the munchkins request. Unfortunately, the sides were not very good. The rest of the sides looked kinda crappy too to be honest. The mac n cheese noodles were so overcooked as to be almost mush being held together by the mystery cheese coating. The corn was half overcooked to the point of starting to brown where it was in contact with the edges of the dish in the steam tray that was out of the«corn water». Pro Tip: They will validate your parking ticket even if your charge is slightly under the $ 10 validation minimum purchase… So I would say definitely get the chicken and enjoy it, but avoid the sides as they are not worth the extra spend… Interestingly enough we got a cup of water to go with our grub and the cup was made of compostable corn matter. It looked like clear plastic but apparently wasnt… very interesting IMHO Wish I knew where to get this chicken in California. Id get just the entrée and make my own sides if I even decided to do sides haha… but it was tasty… too bad the sides were so…

Worthless. At noon, the chicken should not be all dried out. Sides were«ok». Pretty expensive for what you get.

The best place to eat at the Pru food court. The Ms. Ate there tonight getting our usual scalouped potatoes and chicken. Yummy

I’m a side dish kind of girl, so when I was at the Pru Food Court for dinner, I wavered between a quarter leg meal with two sides for $ 8.49, or the 3 sides platter for $ 7.49($ 8 after tax). By the time I got up to the front of the line, the sides had won out. I noticed that some of the sides are served with an ice cream scoop — mashed potatoes, squash with yams and cranberries, corn, mac & cheese — and for those you only get one scoop and that’s it. For the ones served with a serving spoon — like the rice — they might give you a scoop plus to better fill up the side compartment. In an attempt to be somewhat healthy, I ended up with the mixed vegetables(which was broccoli and carrots), squash with yams and cranberries, and the creamed spinach. The creamed spinach was the winner in this contest. Especially if you like something that tastes a bit sinful. Yum! The rest was okay, and helped to tide me over. Poulet is located in the Pru Food Court.

My rating is not for everything here. Just the mac & cheese. Or should I say crack & cheese. I was warned that it would be addicting. And they were right. Seriously the best mac & cheese. I wouldn’t order anything else from here. To be honest just doesn’t look appealing. I haven’t actually had anything else here so I can’t judge that. All I know is they have the best mac & cheese which makes this worth going to.

For a place that has chicken(Poulet) in their name, they sure can’t specialize at it. I sampled a piece of the bourbon chicken, which was possibly the worst food court chicken I’ve ever had. It tasted like a clump of salty batter! I gave them the benefit of the doubt that maybe the other foods would taste better. Nope, I was wrong to expect decent-tasting food. The chicken & broccoli(cooked Asian style?) was salty, clumpy, frozen meat quality, and basically inedible. It was also somewhat spicy, which was unexpected since this wasn’t noted on the label. The sides were terrible too — bland«buffalo» screwdriver pasta and watery tomato cuke salad. Did I really pay $ 8.49 for a plate of bad food? Yes I did, and it came with a side of zombie service from the staff who had zero emotions and attention span. Food court fail.

Yes, I am writing a review of a mall food court restaurant. What can I say? I got class. The chicken is a little dry, but good dipped in gravy or mashed potatoes. The sides are pretty average and probably come frozen. But the corn bread is moist and delicious. I’m not saying you should go out of your way to try it or anything, but if you happen to be at the Prudential food court and in need of dinner, it’s a moist and delicious side dish. And anyway, you could do worse. It is a food court, after all.

Decent chicken and not bad for a quick lunch. Came for a quick bite while shopping on Newbury St. Service was fast and quick, a delicious array of food laid out before you. I opted for their lunch platter(Breast or thigh + 2 sides = $ 6.99) and had their chicken breast with a side of homemade corn stuffing and mac and cheese. The food was ok, their rotisserie chicken was quite bland and lacking in flavor, not to mention very dry, I wish they offered some sort of sauce that could of gone with the chicken to give it more flavor. Stuffing had very little to no flavor and as well as the mac and cheese and both were more of a pile of mush than anything. But to be fair, I did come after lunch was dying down and the line was little to none, their chicken smelled delicious other times I’ve walked by and had seen numerous customers in line for their chicken. While my experience so far had been sub-par. I am willing to give Poulet another shot another time.

I prefer Boston Market. In fact, given the eponymous name, I’m surprised there aren’t more locations in the city. But, I digress. This is supposed to be a review about Poulet. Basically, if you’ve been to a Boston market, the concept is the same. There’s a lot of rotisserie chicken and then steam tables full of various side dishes. The chicken is pretty good, at times a bit hit or miss as far as the dryness is concerned. The sides are similar. Some are really good and some are a bit bland. Overall, a thoroughly average meal that I return to only because you can get a quarter chicken and two sides for $ 7 at lunch.

i come to the prudential food court at least once a week and this chicken place is on top of my list! i alway order the chicken leg w/yellow rice and corn. price is around $ 6.99! not bad for a decent size lunch in back bay! the trick with ordering at this place is… timing! here is what i have learned! try not o go there for an early lunch! meaning… don’t go there before noon. i ordered lunch there around 11:30am and the chicken was so dry! as if they are left-over from a night before! so watch out… try to go there during the busy time… like 12:30pm — 1:15pm-ish! the chicken taste best when there is a long line, meaning the chicken are fresh and juicy!

I can’t believe I visited Boston and ate at this terrible food court«restaurant.» I can’t believe I paid almost $ 10 for something that tasted like a microwave dinner. For $ 9.22 I got a chicken breast and two sides(I chose corn and steamed veggies), plus a drink. My diet Pepsi was fantastic! I highly recommend ordering that. I should have been warned when I originally ordered the chicken tenders and the girl said«those are kind of dried out, get something else.» I should have went to get something else from anywhere else!
