Salamander’s, which is the same café that used to be in East Boston (
), has reopened in Hyde Park! Had a wonderful breakfast with friends: omelettes, breakfast burrito, banana bread, delicious apple and arugula smoothy. And a nice latte. Fresh ingredients. The lunch menu looks great too and includes ceviche! The staff is very friendly. We were peering in the window last week before the restaurant officially opened and one of the cooks came and unlocked the door and invited us in and chatted about the menu, opening date, etc. It was great to meet the proprietress, Mercedes, at our first breakfast. Support Hyde Park businesses!
There’s parking in the back or on the street.

Stopped in for a coffee Today, So happy these guys are open Finally!
While I only got a small coffee I can report the coffee was delicious and the service was very friendly.
I hope they get some more comfortable — «lounge like» seating, couches etc so people feel invited to stay and enjoy their meal /​coffee.
I look forward to returning for food and will update accordingly. Welcome to the neighborhood.
