Meh. It’ll do in a pinch, but I wouldn’t seek it out. A «It’s late, we’re already buzzed» kind of place.

What is up with this place? It used to be a go-to for drinks but it has lost it’s luster. With a bar on the first floor, club-ish on the second floor and rooftop bar on the third floor, it’s usually fun and hopping. The last few times we’ve been here have been extremely odd. The lights have been all the way up, there’s some guy doing accounting at a corner table, prices are up, the food and drinks are these weird«I’m trying too hard to be trendy» combinations. What gives, Rattlesnake? We’ve had some good times in the past and I’m hoping come summertime things will be back to normal. This time of year I’d only come here for beers and the game.

Awesome tacos … I’ve been coming here for years. It’s always innovative and friendly. For awhile Miss Massachusetts even worked here.

I like this place. The brunette female bartender is always so chipper. I came in one day with coworkers and explained why we all look like the living dead and she gave me a hug! Haha it put the biggest smile on my face. Good bottled beer selection and the menu is always changing. The calamari is absolutely delicious! They also at one point had these fries mash potato balls… My mouth is watering just thinking about it! It’s also never crowded so you don’t have to worry about not finding a spot. Also I love the guys that work the door. They are never rude, impatient, or annoyed. I even had one guy remind me that my phone was charging and to not forget it since it wasn’t near me.

This place is amazing! Such a nice welcoming relaxed atmosphere! Jenny the bartender is so sweet funny and makes amazing cocktails. I almost died over the cranberry jalapeño margarita. She warned me it was HOT and I loveeeee HOT so it was perfect for me. I can’t wait to come back in the warmer months and visit the rooftop deck for a few drinks– and another spicy margarita! I will definitely frequent this bar every time I’m in the city… And I thank Jenny for her excellent service!

Friendly Waite staff and accommodating to service dogs. The menu however is very limited. The drinks are plentiful though :)

Worst food I have ever eaten, service was mediocre and it’s over priced for the options. Wouldn’t recommend it

We came here to meet with friends to celebrate a birthday on a saturday night around 11 pm. it was off the whole night. i’m not sure if this was THE rattlesnake location that everyone raved about and always went to a few years ago but when we talked in it was dead. maybe it was the drizzling rain too? we sat ourselves at the bar and was ignored but looked at for about 4 minutes before i was able to ask a question about whether or not the kitchen was closed. then the bartender apologized and said he’d be right with us. we ordered two drinks and fish tacos. he asked if i liked spicy bc it’s spicy. i appreciated the warning, it was spicy. the fish was deep fried in batter too. meh. not my kind of fish taco. my boyfriend got chips and dip. that was good. kind of hard to eff that up though. the reason they get 2 stars is because of what we witnessed. the staff did not work well together. i felt the tense-ness of the female bartender and the server who depended on her to make her drinks to serve her tables. the server was so exasperated that she went underneath the bar to get her own sodas at which point the female bartender noticed her and made a face to the bar cleaner boy then proceeded to make her drinks. it made me apprehensive to witness this. the female bartender paid most attention to the bar cleaner boy versus her row of guests. i don’t know if it is because she had to man the entire bar herself or if she was pre-occupied.

Good food. I’ve had the wild boar tacos and the skirt steak — both were excellent. The staff has always been pretty friendly and fun to chat with. The beer selection is pretty basic. It’s always been empty when I’m there, but there has always been some weirdo person or situation that has occurred also, which has made for good people watching. I’ve never ventured to the rooftop deck as I’m usually flying solo on business. My perspective… Good food, especially for a bar, good staff, decent process and it’s close to my hotel.

Lunch. Just rushed in for a late lunch. Ate their hamburger, wasn’t much to write about. Not much people there.

This is not a fancy place — so keep that in mind. It’s where you get post work drinks in a very relaxed bar setting. It was one of the first bars I went to in Boston and only recently did I venture to their upstairs room for a private event and to their roof deck. The drinks are fine, the beer selection good — but remember, you’re here for the casual atmosphere and people you’re with, not for food/drinks(because those are just ok).

I’m feeling like I’m going to repeat what other people have said here: The food is of 4-star quality. Wild boar tacos were good. The meat was tender and the green chile and other flavors combined to make for a good eating experience. It wasn’t a lot of food for $ 12, especially because the menu deceived me into thinking the tacos would come with rice and beans on the side :(That’s just for the fajitas, as it happens. My drink was $ 11 and could have been created by my 16-year-old brother. That actually might be too insulting to my little brother. The menu said that I was going to be getting a blueberry tamarind mojito. What I received was a lot of ice, water, and artificial blueberry flavor. I felt swindled. The service was about average. 2 stars is the average of the good food, the horrendous cocktail, and the ordinary service. The rooftop is nice, but won’t bump up this review to 3 stars: it is not quite appealing enough to bring me back. That is, unless my little brother can’t make me something tastier than that mojito.

Downstairs it represents a normal bar but upstairs you’ll find a well hidden gem, their roof deck. Not he biggest and you don’t really have a view as you are surrounded by buildings but the atmosphere is great, it is always packed and the drinks are good. Perfect after work spot. A bit pricy when it comes to the food but staff is friendly.

Came here after spending the afternoon in the gorgeous weather. My friends and I waited about 15min to go up to the rooftop. Once up there we ordered a carafe of sangria and had to stand by the bar because there wasn’t any room. The sangria was just okay, pretty watered down. After a bit we sat down and ordered some food. I ordered the fish tacos, grilled. I was surprised it was really good. The soft tortilla was nicely charred. There was a good amount of fish with a good amount of heat! My friend ordered the antelope tacos and he likes them a lot but felt like slaw or chips was missing. Service was okay, I had to go up to the bar to get napkins. Pricing: the tacos were $ 15 for 2… Pretty pricey… I would have liked a side with it for that price, or an additional taco. It’s awesome to have a rooftop bar downtown… just so you know you are surrounded/staring at buildings. Overall 3.5 stars

Stopped by for some late night food and a drinks after work. Wish I had gone to Ticos or the new FiRE+iCE bar, underFiRE. I had the Short rib taco. Awful! The short ribs were old, super oily and unappetizing. The tortillas weren’t even warm. The tacos are topped with some sort of fried root veg sticks(can’t remember what it was)… the sticks were so hard that I punctured a whole at the top of my mouth. I must say. this is the first time that was injured by my dinner. My girl had the Raspberry margarita. awful! I asked the bartender what his specialty was. He made me a drink with gin, cucumbers and sriracha — I admire a craft cocktail, but this was awful. Should of stuck to a Jack & Ginger. The only reason I’m giving this place 2 stars is because of their rooftop patio which is a pretty sweet happy hour spot during the summer. Aside from that, stay away from this place.

Service was excellent. Karen was a joy and very helpful and passionate about the food that they serve. She allowed us to enjoy the day and her timing was perfect. The chicken tacos are a great choice for the price and we started out with the chicken chorizo soup — YUM! If you’re in the Copley area — try to stop in as each person is nicer than the next!

I was actually really surprised with the food here. We came here for my friend’s birthday dinner. When we got there, we realized that the«rooftop» wasn’t what we expected. we were surrounded by buildings and rattlesnake was the shortest building in the area so we didn’t get a view. or sunlight, for that matter. BUTTTTT the nachos were so delicious. it’s(dare I say it) comparable to the nachos at sunset cantina. I ordered the spicy cubano tacos, which were not spicy at all, but still pretty good. There were 3 tacos — a good amount for that price. The worst thing about this place were the drinks. they were so weak! Otherwise, not that bad for a food experience. Next time, I would opt out on the«rooftop». Not worth walking up all those stairs hahhaa

Coming here for a couple beers and to watch the game? Sure. Coming here for a good lunch or dinner? Not so much. Dropped by one Sunday after working out, and I was ravenous. I figured, it’s a Sunday afternoon in the summer, what could be better than an appetizer or two, a sandwich, and a beer? For a bar, the beer selection was rather limited, so I went with a Sam Adam’s Summer. After glancing over the rather small menu, we decided to split the pork belly for an appetizer. I was supremely disappointed — the meat was not nearly tender enough, and was bordering on flavorless. For a sandwich, I went with the Jalisco Turkey Roll. Also disappointing. The wrap was loaded with tons and tons of turkey, but not much else. It was supposed to come with avocado, Sofrito, and American and Tequila cream cheeses, but there was little to none of those to be found. I was tempted to send it back, but the fries that came with it were the saving grace. They had just the right amount of crispiness, and just the right amount of saltiness. I found that they satisfied the need for carbs that I was craving… but sadly, at a 13 dollar price tag. It’s doubtful that I’ll be back.
