Came on a Saturday at 10am. Place was busy but we were seated within 10 minutes. I ordered the dads platter(see photo) meal was very good and filled me up. My only 2 complaints were 1) some of the potatoes were undercooked and 2) the waitress took awhile to refill the coffee and water. But again, they were busy so I understand. Would eat here again.

This is a delightful café with Fabolous servers. Our breakfast is always goid. I love their crispy bacon.. I usually order an omelet and they are very good. I do wish that they would have gluten free bread and that would probably push my review to five stars. This is not a five star restaurant but a good café that serves a nice quantity meal. I think our server was Cat and she was wonderful.

The food here is great, it has a good selection and an intimate environment. Surprisingly it was not very busy here considering the fact it is a holiday weekend. The only annoying part is that if you want any soda, it is served on cans, and it is privy for that.

I wanted to share my facebook post here. Long story short, cold Benedict with cracked egg/no yolk and egg shells in my food. To top it all off Zero accountability from staff and management. Do yourself a favor and skip this place

Went there with a friend last week after a hike. 3 eggs, home fries, bacon, and toast. All were excellent, bacon extra good. Will come back, as their lunch menu looks amazing.

Breakfast was pretty darn good, I got the Farm Plate, but our toast, though delicious, was served way late, and I waited overlong for my coffee refill which spilled when they poured it again. You’re better off going to the Kozy Corner for slightly cheaper food and prompter service.

I always enjoy meeting friends at Alexa’s for breakfast or lunch. It’s located on Main St in Bothell, where you can wander into some little shops nearby, get a massage or grab a beer. I like the breakfasts at Alexa’s a lot! If you like eggs, they have the traditional fried or scrambles, or a special dish like a scramble(several variations, Benedicts(traditional, crab, veggie or smoked salmon) or quiche, they have a great selection of savory offerings. The maple bacon is great, too! The fried potatoes are big chunks of crispy home fries(I prefer shredded, but these are good) and you get a large serving. They have a nice variety of toast offerings, too. You want carbs? Go for the pancakes, waffles or French toast, traditional buttermilk or with fruity & other variations. Coffee is OK. They also have some nice baked goods, like muffins, cookies, brownies, cakes, etc. If lunch is your thing, Alexa’s has soups, burgers, sandwiches & salads. I’ve never been disappointed and always look forward to coming here. Servers are friendly & efficient, but you sometimes have to wave them down for a refill of the«OK» coffee. You can often get deals on Groupon, too. Parking on Main St can be a challenge, but there is a large parking lot directly behind the building and if it’s crowded there are other parking lots a short walk away. The restaurant is clean and kind of country-cozy, which is what I look for when it comes to breakfast! Another thing I like about Alexa’s are the posters that line the hallway near the rear entrance by the restrooms. They advertise local happenings in the art scene — theatre, music, art and other events. I discover things that are happening in the greater Seattle area that I might not otherwise find out about. Check out Alexa’s if you are looking for a place to eat on the East side near Bothell, Woodinville, etc.

I decided I wanted to come back when it was busier to see how well everything holds up during a rush. This place is packed right now, so this would definitely be pushing food and service to the limit. Service: Still fantastic! Everyone is working together to make sure everyone is getting the attention they need, nothing is getting forgotten and the food is still delivered in a timely manor. This will oiled machine doesn’t need any grease. Special note to Matt, my server, for seemingly taking the head on this place. I don’t know if he’s had server or manager, but he definitely is making sure that everything is running tip top. Food: No sacrificing in quality either. The food was as good as it was when everything was slow. Presentation remained the same and nothing came out cold or uncooked. Overall: Everything is still fantastic. They definitely have impressed me with the maintenence of the level of service and food. Well done.

Sometimes there aren’t enough stars to convey my pleasure with a company/business/services. Then, there are times when one star is too many. This is the latter situation: I worked with Alexa’s to create a custom menu for catering. I made a $ 1,000 nonrefundable deposit, which ultimately served to purchase food for a smaller number of individuals, but with the same menu. On numerous occasions, I indicated how imperative it was to have items like pancetta or bacon on the side given that I am unable to eat those items – I am unable to digest them. Alexa’s agreed to and was required to provide items with those dairy and pork items«on the side.» I specifically requested brussel sprouts with pancetta or bacon on the side. As delivered, the brussel sprouts had been mixed with pancetta or bacon. When I raised this issue, I was told something to the effect that«they weren’t cooked with the pancetta/bacon.» and«That’s how they were given to me.» Because of my allergies, I couldn’t «pick around» the pancetta/bacon mixed in. The only silver lining was they were barely cooked and were hard as rocks; thus, I wasn’t missing anything good. But, that silver lining’s downfall was that I had to sit there and watch my guests try to saw through the raw(and not«Roasted») brussel sprouts. «Fresh Pear Spring Green Salad»: this name, coupled with the inclusion of «Pears» in the description specifically indicates(not merely suggests) that pears were to be in this salad. There were no pears. Only mixed greens and toasted almonds. Let me repeat, the«Fresh Pear Spring Green Salad» was missing PEARS. What the brussel sprouts lacked in cooking, the roasted asparagus made up for it – they were the soggiest, most overcooked asparagus bordering on the consistency of canned asparagus. The brussel sprouts, asparagus, and roasted vegetables were all served cold – and cold they were. The problematic temperature of the food did not end with those side dishes. The chicken and the salmon were not even lukewarm. The warming trays were filled with cold water and single lanterns were put under each(each running out of fuel within the hour), which meant there was no way those proteins would have been able to get hot – let alone even warm – again. Every guest remarked about the cold chicken and fish. The issues with the chicken – though I could not eat given my digestion issues – were readily apparent just by looking at the dish. The description was«Chicken breast marinated with coconut milk, garlic and chili paste and served with fresh mango salsa.» What was delivered was a pan filled with lukewarm chicken breasts that were then covered in what was the consistency of water and looked like dirty dish water, and then covered with cold salsa. This resulted in lukewarm chicken, swimming in a watery solution, covered with cold fruit. Let this image swim around in your head for a while. I specifically contracted for salmon that had a crispy top: «Lightly grilled for a caramelized crisp top then Baked in white Wine and dill» was the description of the menu. The salmon was cold and, thus, if there was ever a «caramelized top,» one would never know. I paid $ 1,000 for cold food, some of which I could not eat because of mistakes. The food was prepared poorly and a number of bargained-for items were omitted. I emailed and was told that someone would get back to me. I exchanged emails with someone from HR, who indicated they would check on my complaints with the venue owner. Not surprising, I never heard back. Suffice to say, do not go to Alexa’s for any catering needs(and from the other reviews – do not go to Alexa’s for any meals).

Not a big fan. Breakfast is decent, but surprisingly small portions for the price you pay. I’m not sure what it is since this a café is located well outside of the city, but prices seem to be on par with what I’d pay for a breakfast downtown Seattle. Unfortunately, the quality or taste is not worth that price either which would have made up for it. I’ve found living downtown that I would get better quality, taste, and portions for nearly the same prices set on their menu. I expected for the cost of the meal that I’d either receive something very tasty and/or filling. I actually left hungry, and I wasn’t planning on waiting around for more just ok food. Let’s discuss their staff. I’m unclear if its high school or college students working here, but students comprise almost all of their wait staff on their weekends. I’m not attributing the reason for long wait to order and to receive food solely on the fact that they are students, but historically I have noticed that service can lack when a staff is entirely consisted of students and without good management present. Just take their neighbor for example at Ranch Drive Inn. Either way, its a quaint little café in downtown Bothell, but I think that if you’re needing a fix for Breakfast that you maybe disappointed coming here.

My husband and I have been visiting Alexa’s for over a year now and have had breakfast and lunches here. When we first came we loved it, then when we had lunch here a few times we weren’t impressed, more recently breakfasts have also lost their luster. We just visited for breakfast again today. Looks like they are really taking their reviews to heart. Our coffees were refilled and our service was much better than the last 5 – 7 times we’ve been in. Previous trips we noticed that even when the place was empty the younger staff just were not attentive. They were more focused on chatting to their friends and goofing off then their other customers. On busy mornings they don’t seem to be organized in how to serve a restaurant. Today they we did not experience this. The food the last few times left us wanting. Today is was fine but on the cold side of temperatures. Overall, I love their menu and philosophy. However, I have been disappointed the last several times with the service and food. They are one of the better places for breakfast, but that isn’t saying much when they still deliver subpar food. I’m a committed type and I believe in Alexa’s. I will continue to go hoping they up their quality, taste, and also their service continues to improve.

Alexa’s is always 100% on point. They have really revamped their space and menu since I had been there as a kid. My sister and I shared their full stack of buttermilk pancakes with banana and the northwest scramble. Both were delicious and made my tummy happy. You really can’t go wrong with any option on their menu. The best way to go is choosing the daily special. Looking forward to making this my regular spot again.

Quaint and homey, Alexa’s Café is a popular choice for breakfast and lunch in the downtown Bothell area. My friend and I recently swung by the café for lunch on a sunny Sunday afternoon. I’ve been here a few times before for brunch, but didn’t realize that they had a separate lunch menu with an assortment of salads, sandwiches, lunch scrambles and more. My friend and I went for the following: –Salmon Burger — My friend recently started a pescetarian diet and thankfully Alexa’s had a good number of fish/veggie-friendly dishes. The burger itself is sizeable and comes with a choice of side salad between potato, pasta, Caesar or green(mixed veggies and greens) salad. –Southwestern Scramble — I’m a sucker for breakfast foods, so I ended up going with a half order of one of their lunch scrambles. The half order is a two egg vs. three egg scramble, which ended up being the perfect portion for me. Service, albeit friendly, can be a bit slow at times, so Alexa’s isn’t the place to go if you’re looking for a quick meal. They also have room to accommodate larger groups if you don’t mind the wait. All in all, Alexa’s Café is a solid choice if you’re looking for a standard breakfast or lunch spot in the area. :)

First things first: The food is incredible. Service is alright. Coffee is fresh. But if you are a single individual, or a party of 2 don’t have kids and prefer not to listen to screaming kids between the ages of 6 months — 6 years, come during the week. If you try to come on the weekend, first of all it’s going to be nigh impossible to get a table quickly. If you opt to wait you will wait next to family-sized parties — at least 4 of these parties. Then, after you wait 30 minutes, still without caffeine, you will be sat next to a table with no fewer than 2 children under the age of 4, both of which are dissatisfied with the number of blueberries that were put into their pancakes — either too much or too little. Kids are odd. One will throw a tantrum that disrupts the entire restaurant. No adult at the table will attempt to calm them down. And by the way, every other table is being occupied by at least a party of 4 with another one of these imps, so you can’t ask to be reseated to a quieter section. The point is, on the weekends this place is a trap for families with small children. Whenever I get a weekday off, I make a point of coming here for breakfast, because the food truly is great. But on the weekends I go nextdoor to Three Lions.

I think it’s really hard to find a terrific place for brunch and Alexa’s did not make the cut. I mean, it was ok. The food we ordered was edible and the ambiance of the restaurant was nice. It was clear to me that they get a lot of regular customers so they must be doing something right! Overall the experience was average but the breakfast food(my lackluster crab benedict + bf’s scramble) didn’t wow us enough to become regulars. Plus we spent a lot of money for what we got. We tried it and we’ll pass on Alexa’s next time.

Does anyone actually like the food at Alexa Café? I have lived here for a year and people keep suggesting it and say it is the best breakfast ever. Third and last visit ever today. Same thing, nice cut bacon tortured to the point of being burnt and ruined. Cold stale tasting, yet mealy chunks of «homefries». They even somehow made a terrible croissant sandwich. Egg rubber, brown and overcooked. Cheese cold and congealed. Same overcooked bacon. I had the misfortune of going out on a limb and ordering a scramble ie: burnt eggs, a flat mess. My toast was decent. Every time without fail this place has been terrible across the board. Am I missing something?

I think they do lunch and dinner better than they do breakfast here. Breakfast is fine don’t get me wrong, but it’s pretty basic. They use costco Krusteaz pancake mix for all the pancake dishes(you can see the apocalypse bunker size stash of it in the kitchen if you leave through the back). The biggest letdown though for breakfast is their ham choice. They use thin sliced sandwich style ham for eggs Benedict and even for the scrambles. They do get points for the thick sliced maple bacon that’s cooked perfect. lunch and dinner are good with unique dishes and local ingredients. They have an awesome thai chicken salad. The club is really good too with that thick cut bacon, ham, and thick right-off-the-bird style turkey slices(which is good, but odd, since they only they have deli ham). The bread is from a local bakery. It’s very quaint with the mason jar glasses and that cottage-esque atmosphere, and the staff is always friendly. A good overall café. …I said«thick» too many times

I thought this place was super cute. Very Bothell. We were eating with my friend and her two-year old. The restaurant accommodated him wonderfully – crayons, high chair, kid portions. We weren’t rushed, got to drink our coffee, play with the little one, and eat our food in peace. The food was great – I really liked that they offered half portions. I had the half portion of bacon/eggs/pancake and it was perfectly sized. They also have a great selection of omelets/scrambles, so even the pickiest of eaters should be able to find something. The good: quick service, good food. Crayons! The bad: they messed up my bill a few times when I went to pay at the counter, and that took some straightening out.
