We’ve heard that service is slow but they weren’t kidding! We chose to take the kids here to celebrate the first day of summer but as soon as we got there, we were told that they couldn’t play shuffleboard or touch the pool tables since other kids broke them previously and you had to be 18 to play. They couldn’t even play with us(adults). Luckily there was pin ball because there was nothing else for them to do. And there was a LOT of time to kill. Like A LOT. The meal took an unbelievable amount of time and this was during off hours!(1:30 on a Thursday). It was ridiculous and we won’t go back. Maaaayyyybbbeeee we’ll do a movie there because we can be occupied with the movie for a few hours since it takes that long to get food there.

Overall this past experience was a one star but I am giving two stars as my first experience in the«shed» was amazing! Our past experience we visited on a Saturday at 1:20pm. It took our server 10+ minutes to acknowledge that we were even sitting there and another 10+ to get the first drinks. After sitting on the bar the old fashion was extremely watered down while I will say the French Martini was delightful(again the positives). The table across from me sat dirty from the time we walked in at 1:20 till the time we were ready to pay our tab at 2:04. After sitting there with our dirty plates stacked and drinks empty our waitress finally came over to ask if we would like our bill as soon as she dropped the check, she walked out for 8 minutes while we sat in disbelief. Thankfully another server cashed us out.

I’ve been here probably 10 times since the opening. Each time I say, «they are still working out the kinks and soon the service will be acceptable!». Alas, it’s been a year and the service is still as horrendous as ever. The kitchen clearly can’t support the multiple dining locations and the servers can’t be bothered to mitigate. Overall, amazing atmosphere and horrendously slow service.

Ordered a salad and chicken tenders. An hour later we got our food. Mediocre at best!

Been here several times and the service has been far below average at best. You literally have to grab someone to get their attention. On top of that, the pinball machines had no sound and needed a few things repaied. Boo!

My sister and I stayed the night at Anderson School and grabbed dinner in the Woodshop. The hostess sat us in the bar directly next to the shuffleboard table… wah wah. The men playing were obnoxiously loud, and in my humble opinion, way too drunk. We would have moved, but the sound would have followed us anywhere we sat, as they were that loud… :/ FIVESTARSTO Gabrielle J. or Gabs!!! She might be the greatest server I have ever had at any McMenamins location. She was cheery, attentive, provided great service, and was very aware that the shuffleboard guests were disturbing quite a few people in the restaurant. Unfortunately the manager, who was also tending bar, didn’t seem to care that they were being so insanely loud. Owell, we ordered our food, fish & chips, and the Pretzel appetizer. Both were very good, and just what we expected. We finished dinner, and realized that happy hour was going to start in less than 45mins we wanted to grab a couple drinks before calling it a night, but decided to close out, head back to the room, and come back for happy hour once our food had settled. We did just that. We sat in the farthest section from the shuffleboard table we could manage, and Taishi was our server. He took a little bit to get to us, but thats ok, he seemed to have a large section. He came to take our order, I got a whiskey sour from the well, and my sister got a vodka and 7 from the well. We also decided to order a couple of food items, because we’re grown ups and we wanted pizza at 11:30pm!!! My sister ordered the slice of pizza and a Caesar salad, I got the Woodshop salad. This is where things get frustrating… Our server was great, he had no control over the«pizza» he served… if you can call it that. The best description I can come up with is, «almost ok enough to be served in an elementary school cafeteria… almost.» It really was awful. It was soggy, greasy, with way too much sauce. I do not recommenced the pizza. The Caesar salad was good. The Woodshop salad… NOPE! I just checked their online menu and their description seems to have changed since we ate here, which is a start… sorta. I ordered the happy hour«Woodshop salad» and expected it to be a smaller portion of their«Woodshop salad…» it was not. The main menu listed the salad as having pickled onions, spiced walnuts, cranberries, and a Rudy vinaigrette. What I got was romaine lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber, and ranch dressing. I did complain, they did take it back, and I was not charged. But I will say their new menu listing for the Woodshop salad is a bummer. Costs more, but you get less… wah wah… I love me some spiced nuts. The cocktails presented an issue too. First, they were completely un-garnished, and had no straws. My sisters was fine, hard to mess up a well vodka &7. My whiskey sour however ended up have a $ 1 up-charge because they make their own sour(which is very sour… too sour…) I am a bartender, if someone orders a well drink from me and its going to cost more than the advertised«well drink price,» I would let them know that their is a $ 1 up-charge, that is just a common courtesy. I brought it up as something to keep in mind when someone else orders one in the future, our server admitted he did not know their was an up-charge for sour, and apologized, which was awesome… however, the bar manager gave me quite a bit of attitude and made sure I knew about how they make their own sour with fresh squeezed lemons and limes, so of course its going to cost more… I got it, just let the customer know… and add a little more simple syrup next time. Two really hard working servers with great attitudes don’t make up for the rest of it. Overall I was not as impressed as I would have liked.

Cool atmosphere. Family brought me here for Mother’s Day Brunch and they were informed I had a gluten allergy. 35 $ each person which would be reasonable if they had gluten free options. I could not partake in hardly any of the options and they didn’t even have 1 dessert that was gf friendly. I literally had some sliced fruit and they did fry an egg for me which is nice, but not $ 35 nice.

Very slow service. Great food and drinks but slow service. No drink menus available because they are being printed again. Hostess greeted us with an attitude after our first hostess told us to sit where ever we’d like. Please fix the service because the scene and food are great. Love the new location.

This cozy little woodshop makes me feel like I’m skipping school(or work!) when I step inside. Just a few select drinks on the menu here but it’s worth a seat — if there is one. Located right in the middle of all the action but feels more like an intimate speakeasy! The Woodshop is where you go when you want to sit one-on-one for a little pregame sip. Or you just don’t feel like jockeying for the bar.

I came here with a group after having drinks at the Tavern across the way. The food here is much more reasonable than at the tavern. I had a beer here. I had the nitro blonde. This was mediocre at best. If you’re into beer there are plenty of breweries a short drive away to woodinville. I had a pizza for dinner. I had the white rabbit. This had red peppers, garlic, mozzarella and artichokes on it. It was pretty good. It cost about $ 13, which is more reasonable than the tavern. This place had pool tables, shuffleboard and other bar type games. One of the downsides is it is really loud, especially the music. We could hardly hear each other talk in there. Just like the tavern, the service was pretty slow. It again took us forever to pay.

We have been wanting to check McMenemins out since it opened, but didn’t want to fight the crowds. We figured we would wait it out, and check it out once the hype had died down. We decided to go on a Saturday to celebrate close to home for my husbands birthday. The newness has definitely not worn off. This place was packed! We got there at 7pm, and it was poppin’! This place is crazy. Upon first walking in, we had no idea where to go, where anything was and couldn’t help but wonder how we would explain to our friends where to meet us. We walked around the entire compound, to TRY to familiarize ourselves with the place. In our first go around, we came upon the Woodshop. We went inside, to only find out there was an hour and a half wait. At this point, I just wanted a beer. They had a table set up outside the Woodshop where they were serving a few beers out of a jockey box. I got the IPA. Not crazy about it. And the beers were $ 6 each. Pricey if you ask me. Especially when drinking out of a plastic cup, outside. Kept walking… Saw the theater, hotel, the Shed(tiny little bar with a few beers, and lots of cocktails and whiskey.) We landed under a pergola with a fire pit. They actually have several of them throughout the property. Cool, especially to warm up on a winter evening! They also have patio heaters around the perimeter as well. Very good set up! I was telling my husband this will be a fun place to come in the summertime! Our friends all showed up at this point, and we just hung out outside huddled under the patio heaters. My cousin went over to the Lagoon to get a table. Apparently 1−½ hour wait is the standard at this place. But the good thing about it; they text you when your table is ready so that you can continue hanging out and touring the grounds… And drinking more beer. We played Shuffleboard inside the Woodshed. Pretty sure you pay for it, or give them your ID for the table. Not totally sure since I didn’t get the table. So wrap up; this place is a maze. Familiarize yourself with the grounds. Get a map from the hotel! It’s so funny to watch people navigate through this place. It’s a little overwhelming. But it’s fun once you get use to how it works. Next time I go I have to make it a point to go to the Principals Office. I hear it is small but the easiest place to get a drink; perhaps not many know about it yet. That won’t last long!

I’ve been to almost all the mcmenamin’s. The food here is good and keep in mind thy buy and serve organic stuff as much as possible so the prices reflect that. The pizza is good, apps good as well as the beers. The service the multiple times I’ve been has been great.

Bartender was fantastic and very nice, service(turnaround time, attentiveness of the staff) was poor. We sat at the bar starting around 3 when it wasn’t crazy busy, we had a great conversation with our bartender and ordered the pretzel sticks and beer flight to start. Pretzels were delicious! We went back before dinner(around 8pm) and it was absolute chaos. We couldn’t find anyone to order a drink from and the staff seemed very irritated by the patrons. I tried to shimmy my way up to the bar to order from our original guy who we loved but he was on server orders? So I couldn’t order a drink from him… It reminded me of a crazy busy college bar where you have to shove your way to the bar and obnoxiously flag down the bartender to get an order in. We actually didn’t end up getting anything to drink because we couldn’t order… Go figure. Get there earlier in the day if you want a better experience!

I had heard that the service here was lacking but decided to give it a shot with my dad for lunch! Immediately when we walked in, it was clear to see its a popular spot! There were two giant tables with about 14 people so I already expected the food to take slightly longer(as it would with any restaurant). We waited for about 10 minutes and no one came to see us or brought us a menu. Thankfully, I had heard the service could be slow so I decided to speak up and approached one of the servers, her name is Hannah. She informed me that our table was not her section but gave me a couple menus and said she would send our server right over from our section. About 5 minutes goes by and the server still hadn’t even greeted us yet. Hannah luckily came over to check on us and asked if the server had been by. We told her no and she said that she would just take over our table! Thankful she did! Hannah came over multiple times to check on us, communicated when the food was coming out, checked back to see if we needed more drinks and was very attentive. She is the sole reason our visit was saved! The food was also quite good– I had the burger and it was delicious. My dad got the meatball pizza and also enjoyed it(but said it is spicy!) I think if you come here, don’t be passive aggressive and sulk at your table if no one helps you. Make sure you inform them of your arrival and ask for help before complaining! They’re very accommodating and Hannah is extremely friendly. If you can sit in her section, make sure you do! And to the managers here: Hannah deserves an award or something along those lines because she is willing to go the extra mile to make sure your guests are having a positive experience!

One of these stars is simply for the facts my company was 5 stars and they did just open a few months ago, the other is for the food which was fine. So… where to begin… WTF with the super confusing seating by the host(ess) you walk in, no sign where the host station is, it was so crowded that we had to track down an employee — it’s hard to tell who they are– and then were helped eventually find her and get our names on a list. Note you need to provide your phone# and they send you a text when your table is ready, but didn’t really say that, so apparently, don’t wait for a call, it’ll be a text. Then we tried to order a beer at the bar while we waited, but no… that wasn’t possible, the bartenders ignored my lovely friend waiting there as though they were invisible. Then we found seats at the bar, surely there we could have a drink? No. No drinks for us still, no acknowledgment, nothing. We were thankfully called to the table quicker than the 30 minutes as it was so overcrowded with the pool tables and such that it was just a bit of a clusterfuck from beginning to end. Then we followed our super young looking gum smacking(gross) runner/bar back to a table that… hadn’t’ been cleared, so we had to stand there while he cleared it. We sat down and when someone approached WECOULDFINALLYHAVE A DRINK, yes? No. All the nervous, overworked and perspiring server said was ‘Were you seated by the host?!’ as though we’d stolen the table from some more deserving folks. We answered ‘Yes, we’re official’ thinking this would again be the code words that would unlock a magical beverage but NO. NOBEVERAGE. He walked off without another word. Finally, five or so minutes later, he did return and said ‘since you’re official, I can take your drink order maybe?’ and then after another 15 minutes, we did indeed get a drink. But when it wasn’t what we expected, and asked, he knew literally NOTHING about their beer and took it back just to bring it back again saying indeed, it was the Ruby(which is not a red ale, btw, but a raspberry infused lager.) I could keep going on the lack of service, but I will let it go, I ordered and asked for the caesar salad not to be on top of my sandwich as it’s served(WTF?) but it came that way anyway. Eventually, we got a random server who walked by and knew about the beer when there was another confusing delivery of beer laced with pumpkin without that in it’s name. All in all, I don’t recommend you bother with the drive for this place. Go to another McMenamins or maybe try the restaurant if you want to actually have a beer. Sheesh.

This place was alright. I won’t be rushing back any time soon. I love the concept of repurposing old schools for hotels, restaurants and bars but the staff at Woodshop didn’t seem excited to have us. Our server was very guarded from the moment we sat down. Maybe going the night before Thanksgiving was a bad idea but if you’re open for business, I expect good service. We ordered a few drinks and snacks. My friend didn’t like her Moroccan coffee with Baileys — it(supposedly) tasted much different from our friend who ordered the same thing. When she told our server, he said ‘I’m not sure what you want me to do’. No exaggeration, it took at least 45 minutes to get her replacement diet Coke. We ordered the tater tots and pretzels as snack because we didn’t want to take up a table and not get food. The tater tots were tasty and the pretzels were plentiful but I didn’t try it. I was overly nice because I didn’t want our server to flip out on us. When I couldn’t find him at the end of the night, I asked another server, possibly the manager for our check and he was super accommodating. I wish we had him the entire night. The space is great, open ceilings and fun décor. I just wish the service was a little better.

OMG. Super fun, super busy on a Fri night and SUPER!!! Loud. Got on the waiting list(high tech with a text when your table is ready) told 45 min, was really about 15. The pretzel sticks are AWESOMESAUCE!!! The cheese sauce is perfecto, ask for some Terminator mustard to go with, so so good. I had the seasonal Nightwalker Porter. Love a dark beer and this one is great, not bitter and not too sweet for a pumpkin beer. Overall, a great time and good pub grub. Our server Olivia was friendly and the perfect amount of attentive on a busy Friday night.

Average is what comes to mind when I think of this place. Its ok, not special, not memorable and the bartenders, ugggggh. Can you say make your skin crawl? So douchey and unlikeable, which was a bummer since the four of us were sitting at the bar. The drinks are fine, my spicy Bloody Mary wasn’t spicy but it tasted fine, I’ve had wayyyy better. The tots that we ordered as an app ended up showing up with the rest of our meal. The pretzel sticks were pretty tasty and the pizza was interesting. Our friends«extra crispy» wings weren’t crispy, boo. I’ll go back for some beer since I didn’t get around to ordering any on this trip, but so far there’s nothing here that I’d rave about or recommend to anyone.

Yes, about«as good as it gets» INBOTHELL! BIGTIP: $ 2 drink minimum for HH! There’s also 2HH per night: Before dinner and late-night! Also, HH times is different for drinks vs. food, so watch the clock! Came here after midnight with some friends. We played pool & had a few drinks. They were absolutely slammed! Drinks were pretty hard to order, but when we did, they came quick. We had to flag down a waitress for food, but it’s ok, we were there till 1:30. Loved the atmosphere and the vibe! Tots is a must! Pass on that slice of pizza! yuck! Also, I wasn’t a fan of the beer, but they were nice enough to let me try before ordering.

Good fun if you can manage to find a seat. Easier to get drinks but since this place is so new it is slammed. To get food you have to find a seat and there’s no reservations or wait list. It’s a crazy free for all. Fun busy environment to connect with other people in your community. I recommend this place for hang outs, drinks, and decent pub food.
