Tile For Less

What a super store and staff this place is! I cannot believe I walked out of there with 45 sq feet of beautiful grey tile for my bathroom for only $ 300!
I HIGHLY recommend this store to all.

I decided to make a review because all these bad reviews made me hesitate to go tile for less at the beginning. I am glad I didn’t rely on these. My experience was awesome. Since I have entered salesman Randy offered his help which I appreciate a lot. I was walking for all the store and enjoyed all the selections. Prices are really good, great clearance selection and designs. I have visited a lot of tiles store (this year I upgraded two kitchens :0, lot of searching for the right ones) and for sure you will be saving a lot if you buy here. I found a beautiful backsplash for my kitchen and I can’t wait to see them on place: D

I went into this location last week. I walked into the store started looking around. I noticed to 2 sales people. One helping one person the other helping another person. I walked around for 10 min. Finally I walked over to the counter where one sales guy was helping a customer waiting for him to break away for a moment so I could ask a question. I stood there for 5 min possibly more. He finely looks at me and asks «do you have a question» I said «yes I’m looking for some tile to put in my bathrooms. I’m looking for tile that looks like hardwood flooring.» He tells me «we have a few didn’t you see them?» I turned and walked out. I wasn’t happy with my experience il pay a little more at Home Depot and actually get some customer service. It’s amazing what a «hello“and and «il be able to help you in a moment» does for customers. I’d recommend you shop for tile else where.

Wow. I got off work in Seattle at 4 pm and hitailed it to Bothell to see the selection. Took me over an hour to get there. My husband and I were looking at a couple of choices and a lady walked over and turned off the lights at 5:55 and said we’re closing in 5mins. So rude!
How are we supposed to judge color in the dark? It wasn’t closing time. We had 5 more mins.
We are shopping for bathroom floor and shower tile and kitchen floor. You blew it. Heading to Lowes.

I was remodeling a bathroom and kitchen and my contractor suggested I look here for tile. I normally shop at the big box stores, but was so happy my contractor suggested Tiles for Less in Bothell. The sales associate was very helpful and walked through the showroom showing me different tiles that matched the cabinet samples I brought in. I found some tiles I loved and was more than happy with the price. Upon purchasing, I showed the tiles to my contractor and he was very happy with the quality and installation. Would recommend this place as I believe they have a large selection, good quality and great people working there.

House remodel so I bought granite countertops, 2 different back splash tiles also. My contractor asked me to buy a larger quantity of backsplash tiles but after walking around with a salesperson we couldn’t find anything to match the tiles. So I kept the expensive backsplash tile but had to return the cheaper stuff. NOW unfriendly man, tells me that I have 3more tiles than the receipt says,($ 9.00), also I have no receipt for the tile sealant. That’s odd, I must have left the receipt at home. He tells me NO, he can see everything I have bought on the screen and I didn’t buy them. Now I’m uncomfortable, He says, they must have accidently given me the tiles. Also no Sealant receipt.($ 30.00) He wants me to give them back. I said, I’d like to check my receipts at home. I stand there and look thru the receipts and find the sealant on it. Is he sorry for his screw up? Nope! Just rude. Will I give them back the 3 tiles? Yes, if I can’t find them on a receipt, because I’m not a thief. I decide to tell him how uncomfortable he made me, he is «insulted», when he should say «I’m sorry». He has no clue how rude he is, I leave politely & quietly.

The sales associate was at first very helpful and knowledgeable. He of course showed us things in the order he wanted us to buy.. . most expensive to discontinued. Once he saw me and my wife weren’t made of money and that we were concerned about cost he became difficult to get help from.
We felt we had too much time invested to leave so we stayed to make the purchase.
At checkout the grout seemed very expensive, so I later checked on how much I overpaid. I paid $ 60 more for the 18 lb pail than i could have bought elsewhere. Too much price gouging.
The big box stores do have much better prices when it comes to your tiling project, the store name is way off, for tile to, not just grout.
I would not go back, even if they were very close to my project, I would spend the time to drive much further.

I agree with GIGI !! Mario is awesome (so is Tony). Mario has helped us pull together multiple tile projects over the years and he is so incredibly helpful. My husband and I don’t always agree on designs (I know folks, shocking!) so we take our ideas before Mario and say «help us figure this out». He will patiently walk us around the store, show us different ideas until he eventually zeros in on what will make us both happy. He is so creative and has that artist’s view of aesthetics, he is not just trying to sell you tile. He wants you happy with your finished product and he will ruminate over design ideas until something gels. He is truly remarkable. Tony also jumped through hoops for us this week to get us more grout when we ran out. He had it ordered and on the next UPS truck within minutes, and we received the following day. He was also so very patient and helpful. These guys care about your satisfaction. They know what works and what doesn’t. You won’t be disappointed!

There appear to be two different Unilocal sites for Tile For Less”, so I am reposting my review here as well.
I’ve been a satisfied customer for several years now but today, they exceeded my expectations. I can’t say enough about Tony at the Bothell, WA. store. I’ve been working on a bathroom remodel and ended up needing 30 additional pieces of Marble asap. I called Tony late yesterday afternoon but it was too late to get the order on a truck for delivery today. Tony decided he would pickup the order himself and drop it at the Bothell store… on his day off ! Who does that? The staff at Bothell are great but Tony ought to get «Employee of the Month» if they have such a thing. Thanks again Tony for awesome customer service.

We had never tiled before, and decided to start with our bathroom. A couple times before starting, we considered hiring a contractor, however Tony gave us the confidence to do it ourselves. He answered all our questions and made us feel comfortable with taking it step by step. He also teaches a class once a month which is very beneficial.
The tile selections and sample boards are inspiring and trend on! They seem to have new tiles and ideas every time we visit. We finally went with an Italian porcelain that was less expensive and equal in quality to high end tile brands.
The experience of Tony and other staff members is what made Tile for Less in Bothell such a great resource! From selecting grout color to cutting tile, they went above and beyond in helping us make the best choices for our project. After looking online at beautiful bathrooms for months, it finally became possible for us to have a beautiful bathroom at an affordable price! Thanks again!

My wife and I were looking for tile to work with a new kitchen counter. We needed a back splash and an entryway tile idea. Mario and Tony were a great help. They helped us zero in on all the right colors and patterns. We had been trying to nail this down for months and these two had us set in under two hours. Very helpful and knowledgeable. Going to their tile class in the morning too. Not sure what the previous posts were not happy with but not the case for us. Thanks guys :)

I came here with a few titles to be cut. The man who did the tiling was polite and did the job for me gratis! If I lived in WA and needed tiling done I would go here just due to the fact they seem like down to earth, honest, and nice people.

I’m never doing business at Tile for Less again. I did three tiles projects within two months using them, spending about $ 1500 in tile and supplies. During my third project I went in to get some help picking out a grout color. I had them pick out the grout color the previous two times.
I said I wanted the grout to match the color of the tile and looked at several options. The gentleman there picked a color, I spent $ 110 on the grout and headed home to finish up the project. I mixed it up, started grouting and realized the color was way off. Even considering that it gets darker when it dries it was just so far off. No big deal, I scraped it out and took the bucket back to Tile for Less to get a different color.
I showed it to them and asked for a discount on buying another tub. I wasn’t looking for anything free, just some help since their professional recommendation was way off. Heck, I would have been satisfied with $ 10 off. Both gentlemen at the counter were rude and they said it was my fault for buying the wrong color. I would understand if I had picked out the color but they seemed to have forgotten they picked out the color an hour earlier. I mentioned I wouldn’t be doing business there again and that I would make sure everyone I know didn’t either. They didn’t care.
The customer is always right, unless you’re at Tile for Less. Great prices? Sure. Good selection? Yep. But if anything goes wrong they will not help you out and certainly will not work with you for a resolution.
Stay away unless you plan for all your projects to go absolutely perfect.

Been here a few times. First was to find out about re-​sealing grout. The staff were knowledgable and helpful and the product that they recommended was easy to use and worked very well.
Today we came to ask questions regarding epoxy grout, waterproof backboard and floor heating. Again someone from staff answered everyone of our questions and stayed with us until we ran out of questions. We learned of a third offering for waterproof backboard (if that’s the right term. WEDI and KERDI are the other brands we knew about) so that’s good. More options for us.
Anyhow, the staff are always helpful and we always learn something from them. We have been here when they were busy and had to wait to talk to someone but when we had their attention they always made sure that they have addressed all our questions before they break off. Today was quiet and we didn’t have to wait at all.

Stopped by here the other day to pick up some floor tiles. We had looked in the major chain stores and second hand stores and didn’t find anything we liked. We found a few patterns we liked which were on sale and thus in our price range. The sales people helped us quickly and seemed knowledgeable about their stock. It was a quick hop in & out, and we were on our way home. Had a good experience.

I was pleasantly surprised by the tile selection and pricing. Definitely not high end tile, but if you are looking for mid-​range tiles that are very reasonably priced this is the place to go.
They lost a star being that we had to wait a while to place our order (only a manager and stocker were working but they are hauling butt helping everyone), but once we did get helped we had great service. My man rented a wet saw from there for around $ 30 per day that made installation a breeze. Both our bathroom and flooring are beautiful thanks to T-​4-​L!

I will never go back to this place again. I have done three tile projects using Tile for Less, but after the way I was treated my last time in their store, I will be going else ware for my next tile project.
During my last tile project I needed a few of my tiles cut professionally by them. I brought in some of my tiles to be cut. After he cut them, he then wrote up a bill for the cutting. After I paid the bill I looked at the bill that he wrote up and noticed that he charged me for the tiles and the cuts. When I informed him that the tiles were mine, I brought them in with me from home, he just exploded. He started to yell at me, and I mean yell loudly at me, to the point of all the other customers stopping what they were doing to see what the commotion was. He then started to poke his finger into my chest while continuing his verbal assault on me, yelling about how I should have told him the tiles were mine from home. He then continued about how he had to do a refund and then re-​ring the bill. Well, boo hoo, cry me a river. These things happen. But that’s no excuse to treat a customer like a five year old child, which is how I felt.
Needless to say I will never go back to that store again, and I will tell everybody that I know, if you have a tile job to do, don’t go to Tile for Less, unless you enjoy being treated like a child. I’m surprised he did not try to make me go stand in the corner.
