This store is awesome. They have so much stuff but it is not junk or mindless play. They have toys that spark the imagination which seems to be a lot art with all the video games and apps out there now. They have a huge section of science toys/experiments which is right up my son’s alley. I picked up a few stocking stuffers and they were actually cheaper than online. Believe it or not, I was shocked. I love supporting local businesses but also love a good deal. The women working was very friendly to everyone that was in there without being overbearing.

Such a great selection. This is one of the best jigsaw puzzle selections that I’ve ever seen. A wide variety of Janod brand toys, as well as art supplies and books. I’ve driven about 30 minutes, to shop at this store, in the past week alone.

I absolutely love this place! It’s simple, they have a great selection of toys and an extremely helpful staff. It’s not packed with a lot of «filler toys.» Every toy that’s there is fun, educational product. They do really good buying. I’ve been going there for years. Before kids, I would go in there to buy toys and books for my niece and nephew and my friends kids. You just go up to the cashier and say«I need to buy toys for a 5 year old boy whose quiet and fussy» or a «7 year old girl who is very active and giggles a lot.» Okay, those are weird examples but they will find what you need for how much you want to spend. It’s great. In and out. Hassle free returns. Done and done.

This grandma found her place to shop! Wonderful toy store that carry’s toys children will really play with. No cheap, battery operated toys here. Wonderful and creative toys that children can use with their imaginations!

This is the best toy store ever!!! They have toys he can try out, a train table, a kitchenette, etc. The owner really cares about his store. He stocks only the highest quality toys. You can tell a lot of thought goes into every toy he decides to sell. Plus, they have a huuuuuge(and awesome) book selection. The other employee(wish I could remember her name) is so nice. She cares as much about the customers as the owner. And let me tell you, they care a lot. We make an outing of it — toy store, train ride, playground. Country Village is so awesome and weird. I love it. And more importantly, my kiddo loves it.

Its been a long time since I’ve strolled around Country Village and there’s nothing more exciting than seeing a toy store! Filled tastefully with down-to-earth products(that those familiar with indy toy stores will appreciate) Toys That Teach does a great job of providing the essentials for kids and adults alike. I entered the store relatively later in the evening so it was fairly calm. I can imagine that at the peak of business there could be squeals of delight coming from the Playmobil section or where the Lego resides. Plenty of science kits to peruse and arts and crafts to consider. The staff member in charge was very friendly and muti-tasking with the project at hand. A nicely organized store with good use of space. I found my visit enjoyable and I would definitely make an effort to go back in the near future.

I absolutely love this toy store. They have quality toys and games for kids and we always find something fun. I love coming here with my daughter– she loves coming here. We feed the ducks in the pond at Country Village, then poke around in the toy store! The staff here are so wonderful and knowledgeable! This is a GREAT place!

I really liked this place. I just wish they staid open beyond 6pm. This place is great for people of all ages. There are some interesting toys that you wouldn’t be able to find other places. There is a small selection of board games to choose from — the real European style of board games. You can tell the games are hand picked because they are all my favorites or ones that are highly reviewed that I have been wanting to play, but haven’t gotten around to yet. The staff is also friendly and nice. I will definitely be returning here to find my nieces & nephews presents in the future.

What a great shop. I love taking my kids into this store after a ride on the little train. A nice locally owned business that caters to local family’s. Perfect. There always nice, and considering how kids can tear a place up it’s always tidy. Going into the big warehouse toy joints is always a junk fest, but Toys That Teach is a great place to purchase toys you feel good about giving to your kids.

This is one cool toy store. They carry toys that require children to play with them, not toys that play FOR the children. They’ve got a great Thomas train play table set up that keeps your kid occupied while you stock up on cool games, any kind of Melissa & Doug product you could think of, puzzles, Haba, etc. These are the type of toys that aren’t at Toy’s R Us and ones that you can feel good about buying for your children. It is a bit small, but every time I go I find something new. There is always some unique toy that you can’t seem to find anywhere else here. I strongly encourage the support of these types of stores for that reason alone. We need to keep them in business! And no, the prices are not unreasonable at all. You don’t feel like you’re getting a GREAT deal, but you feel like you are getting a fair deal for something that is good for your kid and that you’re supporting a local business too. And true to the Country Village, it is a great place for gifts of any aged kid. This is one cool toy store. Oh, did I say that already?
