I love this place. The daily lunch specials are fantastic and generous. The food is very fresh. It felt like my mama was really in the kitchen cooking up my favorites. The service is always friendly and accommodating.

This place doesn’t deserve one star. The food was so salty and lacked flavor. Not authentic Mexican food. Do not eat here.

I really wanted to like this cute place. Pretty setting out the front door(pond, ducks, fountain, etc.)… pretty outdoor seating. Cute place. Also the server was wonderful and the couple that owns the restaurant are very nice people. But the food was just no good! My friend ordered Enchiladas Mole… the mole sauce was so waaaaaay too Chocolate-y that it tasted like hot fudge sauce out of a jar. Horrible. I had enchiladas with red sauce. they were«okay»… edible but nothing great. My enchiladas did come with fresh black beans(not refried) and rice– no gooey cheese on top which is healthier and less calories than other local Mexican places. But the prices were quite high for our lunch. $ 12.00 each for the lunches… Sorry, I won’t be back.

I really wanted to like this little Mexican restaurant. It’s local, close to home, it’s MEXICAN food! Well, this wasn’t good Mexican food, hence my review. I had lunch with a friend & I had the chimichanga(which I realize is American made Mexican food but can still be GOOD) and beans. The chimichanga was filled with rice and barely detectible chicken. I asked the server if there was chicken in there and after searching through the rice… found a very tiny amount of chicken that was shredded so small you could barely sense its existence! The outer cover(almost didn’t seem like a tortilla) was hard to cut. The beans had no flavor whatsoever. There should have been a lot of chicken in there for the price, not loaded up with rice to keep the cost down to the restaurant! It’s the cheapest trick in the book. Literally. Sad to say, I will save my money & go to Aurora and Taqueria el Sabor in the future. I will not be returning to Casa de Mama.

This simple, family-run Mexican restaurant provided us with one of our favorite Seattle-area dining experiences. We found our way in after shopping around the Country Village, and were welcomed warmly by a sweet lady with none of the professional distance of an urban server-type and all the relational kindness of a favorite aunt or grandma. We ordered a starter of guacamole, which was solid(the chips come in small portions… but they kept them coming) then for entrees a «wet» burrito and chicken fajitas. Foodie snobs might turn a nose up at traditional Mexican cooking,(no big surprises on the menu here) but these simple dishes with simple ingredients were cooked to perfection. The fajitas could not have been cooked with more precision, the chicken was lightly seasoned and fully cooked throughout but glistening and the vegetables firm and slightly crunchy. It wasn’t fancy, but it was done exactly right… and the portions were good, which is critical! We got to talking to our server, who visited regularly to dote on our children, and I jokingly asked if Mama was in the kitchen(«Casa De Mama», right?)…and she replied, «yes, my mother is in the kitchen»…and proceeded to walk me back into the kitchen to meet her actual Mama as well as her husband who was manning the grill. It was a thoroughly charming experience, the food was excellent and the service was the perfect combination of attentive and personal. We’re going back… heck, we feel like family now. You should stop in sometime and enjoy Mama’s cooking.

Small menu, but great food. I ordered the chicken fajitas and it was the best chicken I have, whatever seasoning they use is awesome. We were the only ones in there on a Saturday night. It’s kind of tucked back in Country Village and took us some driving around in circles to find. Hopefully they get more business because they good and I will definitely be returning

Waited 10 minutes for service. The waitress still started serving a bigger party which came after us, completely ignoring us. Very poor service.

So delicious! We were wandering around Country Village, and I could smell the scent of Mexican food. I’m so glad we stopped in – this place has some of the best seasoned meat that I’ve had in a while. Our little ones ate loads of strip steak, and the variety of tacos left me wanting to order more. Their chips have a great bite to them, and the mango cocktail was generous and not sickly sweet. We will definitely be back for more… this is a great addition to the Country Village.
