last weekend, the Boulder Creek Parks and Recreation District, installed some amazing exercise equipment at Garrahan park. unfortunately, they have neglected to decide upon rules for the equipment’s usage. Today, there were at least a half dozen children on the average age of 7 being supervised — if you can call it that– by two oblivious women. at one point, half the kids were at one side of the park and the other half on the skateboard area. the rest of the time, they ran their bicycles around the track and or climb like monkeys on the exercise equipment. they did not use the children’s play area at all! I love kids but I love supervised kids a lot more. it’s dangerous at any rate to let some of these children use the equipment alone. I have seen two children using one piece of equipment at the same time, I saw one child stand up on the seat of a piece of equipment in order to reach the bars above him and then release himself until the chair caught him. I have seen multiple children dump their bikes in the middle of the trail were others are trying to walk or jog. please make some rules and in enforce them. I really like this park and would hate to see an injury cause a lawsuit or the equipment to be removed. for the appointment to be removed.

Cute little park in Boulder creek. The play equipment was very unique and whole thing was fenced in making it very nice for young children. Burger joint located across the street. No restroom but porta potty available and large grassy area with picnic tables.
