I wasn’t expecting much, just craving salsa and chips, and since B. was out of town, I figured I’d get carryout. Naturally I went for chicken fajitas. For just one meal, I ended up with a full bag. One container held two meal’s worth of chicken and onions and peppers, the next held equally plenty rice and beans, pico and cheese, and guacamole and sour cream. The third held the chips and salsa, and you know there’s never going to be enough of those. Things got a little messy in the car, so by the time I got home the lid of the chicken was soaked. Fortunately the second container had had the lid rubber banded on. The cheese didn’t survive the trip, having melted completely into the beans, but I had plenty in the fridge. It was typical fajita fare, everything exactly as I expected it to be, and I got two good sized meals out of it. There was a lot of small pieces of chicken, so I had to play quite a bit of hide and seek to get it all out. The chicken was kind of saucy? There was a lot of liquid in that container. This review is mostly so i can express my comments about the salsa. It was hot. As in cling-to-the-back-of-your-tongue-and-pretend-to-be-napalm-for-an-hour hot. I loved it and was annoyed by it, and then had some more. Not the BEST salsa I’ve ever had, but certainly quite memorable.

We do come here every so often. We usually come at weird times when it’s not very busy so we always get really fast service. My son loves the kids taquitos and it’s ONLY3.99 for a kids meal! That is a great deal. Our bill was only 22.00 and I even had a beer durning happy hour! Thanks again for the good service! We will be back

Really liked this place. Not the best I’ve ever had but pretty good. Lots of meat in the burritos. Salsa tasted fresh and good. The enchilada sauce is a little spicy and service was kind of slow but not too horrible. We’ll definitely go back.

I have lived all over the country, and have had the pleasure of visiting Mexico on numerous trips. It doesn’t matter where I spend significant time, I like to try out different Mexican restaurants. Since discovering 3 Margaritas about 12 years ago(soon after moving to Longmont) I was hooked. The food is truly outstanding. Highlights are: Sopa de albondigas and the Steak tampiquena. Simply put, I will not enjoy my Mexican cuisine anyplace else, quote so much as I enjoy it at 3 Margaritas. Be sure to order the«bean dip» and«mushroom salsa», before you dig into your main dishes. With a glass of Dos Equis or a «Pure Gold» margarita, you will embark on a great culinary journey. My family and I are truly dedicated to this place, and we were saddened with they closed down their Longmont-south Location near Hover.

We stopped in on a Sunday afternoon. Food was delicious, service was impeccable and the place was spotless!

It tastes better than it looks. The waiter was not very friendly and its definitely fast food Mexican not the best Mexican food I’ve ever had but it’s pretty good. Food came in 10 – 15 minutes. we were asked regularly if we needed more chips, refills etc. I don’t recommend the fried chile relleno too much cheese not enough chile. I would try to get the regular next time, if there is a next time. Guacamole tasted fresh. My husband loved the fahitas(sp?) My reason for lower ratings is food just seemed processed not the most natural fresh food. Hours later I’m feeling the effects of a swollen throat and just not feeling the best. It makes me wonder how old their refried beans are, or what ingredients lurk in the orange sauce…

I came here for lunch with several coworkers one day and was utterly disappointed by the quality of the food and service. We all ordered(I ordered the veggie enchiladas) and it took around 30 – 40 minutes for the food to come out.(The place was not packed, at all.) As I was cutting away at my enchiladas with burnt sautéed vegetables, there was something very tough, and very shiny. It was a produce sticker that had been sautéed with the vegetables. I was disgusted and didn’t end up finishing the food. The enchilada itself was very bland and didn’t have much filling inside. For the price, you’d think they’d add more vegetables… Between the slow service and the contaminated food, I didn’t have a good experience here, overall.

Pros: –Food tasted alright –Very friendly staff Cons: –Kind of a «slop house» when it comes to Mexican. A lot of the food items looked the same. –The frozen margarita was just a little bit of margarita with a lot of shaved ice on top –Somewhat expensive for what you get –Chips and salsa weren’t great

If you want food poisoning, I highly recommend this place! The food poisoning was extremely violent here and kept me vomiting all night. That was such a great lifetime experience I will never go back, I am good for life. Thanks 3 margaritas for showing me how truly great Food poisoning really is and slapping us with a $ 50 bill. I gave 2 stars because our waiter was great. As far as the food and drinks, stay away unless you want to enjoy a great night of violent vomiting from the delicious food poisoning they just gave you.

I love Tres Margaritas! I had a rough start with it when I tried to order something out of my comfort zone, but I quickly got back on track. I love the drink menu! Good beer, great margaritas, and there are plenty of yummy blended umbrella drinks too. The tortilla soup is a great light option for an app, and the fundido/queso is a must. Chile relleno is Delish… Get it crispy! I order cheese/onion enchiladas with flour tortillas, rice and beans. Everything is excellent! So much cheese! Great, friendly staff. Clean. My fav for Mexican in boulder.

Took the kids. Three of us. Burrito, shrimp entrée, enchiladas and two margs, $ 75. Food is mediocre at best. Margs taste like a store-bought mix. Plenty of better alternatives at this price. Head down the road to Agave.

Went to dinner here on a Friday night for the first time. I won’t return because the food was ok– not great. I ordered two different margaritas and seriously questioned whether there was any alcohol in them at all. I didn’t even get buzzed and they tasted mostly of sour mix and juice, and at $ 6 to $ 9 each, I expect to feel it. Don’t recommend this place.

Delish! I’ve lived down the street from this place for years but never have tried it because it looks very«chainish» and I’m not big into chains. But I’ve also struggled for a long time to find good Mexican here in Boulder. So during last nights snow storm we didn’t want to drive far and we were craving Mexican — so we hesitantly decided to just try it. It was great and we will absolutely come back! The ground beef on the taco was incredible and the tamales were awesome. I didn’t love the refried beans, but everything else was very very tasty. We had the Original Margaritas which were great too. So happy to have found this place! Not too expensive either!

Caveat: I only stopped in here for drinks a couple months ago while traffic died down. We hit the bar, no Tito’s vodka(STRIKEONE haha) and my beer was painfully slow in coming. So was the second one. I spilled some stuff, looked around and the bartender was MIA. Had to pretend to be an employee and clean it up myself. He showed up a bit later and sort of wandered around and I got bored waiting for the offer of another drink and we left. Not crazy anxious to try the food if the bar service is so absent.

You either have good tamales or bad, the ones served today are bad. Overcooked, dry and tasteless filling. The environment is nice enough and the staff are pleasant. I came for lunch though. I won’t be back.

I went today 11÷2÷14, and was amazed that the food had declined so much since the last time that I went, which was maybe a year ago. I ordered fish, and the person that I was with ordered shrimp. Both of us found the plates very distasteful, maybe because the fish was old? Sure was concerned about what might happen if I ate the plate. My tilapia was very fishy, which is not normal for tilapia. Not sure what the issue really was, but we both sent it back. The salsa was also sub par, we should have gone to a different place. Service was unremarkable and it took us awhile to get the check. It was as if no one was concerned at all that we sent both meals back, we sure won’t be back for some time to come.

Not bad considering we were just passing through. Service was efficient, though not particularly friendly. The dinner plates were pricey so we opted for the combos/specials, which ended up being a good deal(can easily be split into to or three meals). I’d be curious to try the lunch specials, which I’ll probably do at a location much closer to where I actually live.

Alright, the decorations and colors are ridiculous, it looks like a clown vomited inside the place. It’s a rainbow explosion. But I enjoyed the bar in the back and the variety of food. There were menu items that are not the typical American-Mexican fare.
