So delicious and satisfying. I love having a healthy place that responsibly sources their meats near work. When I’m sick I just can’t get enough of the honey ginger tea.

The food was really good, I even spent a few hours on the internet. The reason I’m giving him four stars and not 5 is because they messed up my order and gave me the wrong food, they weren’t too helpful in accomplishing the adjustment. Their menu is a bit confusing, not too bad. I would have come back since the food taste good.

We visited for the fist time today, eager to try out this place because of their feature of vegan options in Korean dishes. We were not disappointed and loved everything we tried. We shared the Dup Bop with Tofu and the Suhn with soft tofu(we had heard the bibim Bop wasn’t their forte so we skipped that favorite). Both arrived piping hot in clay pots along with metal chopsticks and spoons. The Dup Bop was perfectly sweet and spicy(medium level) and had a nice hint of gochujang which made me completely crazy for it. The 7 grain rice featured all over the menu was cooked well and had a nice hearty flavor. As for the Suhn, soups aren’t my favorite, but the bites where the silky tofu that had been fused in the fragrant broth were very delicious. We also had the Suhn with rice noodles that were also perfectly cooked and had a slight chew. Overall, it was a great experience and a surprisingly delicious meal for an understated look on the outside of the shop. The interior was cozy and felt like a home. Service was helpful and friendly but not over-talkative Absolutely planning on returning here again.

Definitely not. I ordered the bibimbop, and though the organic, purple rice was interesting, there were sufficient deficiencies in the food. I’ve never had Korean food at a place where you had to pay extra for a fried egg and beef for bibimbop. This is the least authentic Korean place I’ve been too, and I’m bewildered as to why they have 4 stars. The bibimbop sauce saved the dish otherwise but unfortunately not enough to even give this place two stars.

I was very excited to try this place, but had mixed feelings about the experience. The service is friendly and the atmosphere is lovely — this, and the advertisements for gluten-free and vegan food, were what caught my interest. They have a very quaint and cozy dining area with lots of light, which is great. The tea selection is large and the menu, though difficult to access if it is busy, had many compelling options. I ordered a BBQ noodle bowl with vegetables and tofu, and my friends got a BBQ bowl with rice. I am in no way an expert on Korean food, but both meals left a lot to be desired. My rice noodles were very soggy and very greasy, and the vegetables were overcooked. Both meals were lacking flavor, and I did not taste anything resembling BBQ or otherwise — the bowl was very bland, as was my friend’s dish. I felt the portions were overpriced for the size of the dish, and I left hungry and disappointed. I should say that this was my first time there, it looked to be a busy lunch rush, and I imagine there might be more care put into the food at a less busy time. I will consider going back to give it one more try on a less busy day, as the rest of the reviews on Unilocal say amazing things!

If you are looking for traditional korean food, this is not the place to go! The tofu soup tasted horrible and the bibimbop was just ok. The bbq chicken bowl tasted the best out of all three dishes.

The food is good and the staff was nice. There was a bit of a line to order but as I had read the reviews and noted it gets busy we opted to go for a late lunch and there was plenty of seating for my family. Kids really liked the Korean BBQ — one had mild chicken and the other mild beef. Overall a positive experience and we’d go back again.

The food is good — I had a simple noodle salad and the other meal was a tofu soup(can’t remember the name). I liked the flavors which were complex and somehow soft. I would have liked more time with the menu. The place was full and there was a line that blocked the menu sign so we had to decide pretty fast. I could see how someone might think the staff is abrupt or uninterested, but I just saw that they were working hard, intent on doing the job. I got a big smile when I complimented the food. We’ll go back to try more dishes.

This place really is about as good as it gets. Their Korean dishes are delicious(though I can’t speak to authenticity) and their tea game is on point. The ginger with honey is my absolute favorite, either iced or hot. You may as well order the largest size — you’ll finish it and want more no matter what. Feeling chill or craving spice? Dup Bob(BBQ Bowl) is the way to go. Rich, warm, and satisfying, it’s great comfort food, no matter where you were raised. Bibim Bob is also great. Less spicy but crazy delicious. Top it with an egg. And if you can handle fermented foods, add a side of kimchee to whatever you get.

If you’ve ever had Tofu soup at a Korean restaurant, anywhere; it is NOT what you’ll get at «A Cup Of Peace.» Here, Tofu soup = salty miso soup with Tofu and zucchini, and it is not served with rice or kimchee like at other Korean restaurants. We also tried the«Barbecue» with meat option, which is also unique as the meat is greasy ground beef mixed with rice which tastes like Hamburger Helper. I haven’t eaten Hamburger Helper in about 40 years, and I don’t plan to return to «A Cup Of Peace» in at least that many years. Also, the employees are unhelpful, indifferent and on my visit, negligent. Watch your step at this horrible restaurant.

Service was nice and friendly — lots of sincere smiles and conversation. I purchased the Korean BBQ bowl– it was quite tasty. I asked for the hottest they could make — perfect temperature if you don’t want to drink water with your food. I will definitely be coming back again.

Before I walk into A Cup of Peace, I make sure to put on a nice smile hoping that maybe this will be the time the employees there don’t seem angry and resentful about a customer entering. I would say maybe it was just my perspective, but my GF said the same thing when I asked her. Been there 3 – 4 times. Consistent experience each time. It almost seems like these people are working against their will. Clearly I enjoy the food, though, since I have returned a few times despite the staff appearing to be annoyed by presence of customers. Tasty affordable meals and the energy shake is very original/delicious.

This place is totally not what I expected for traditional Korean BBQ. Walking in, I saw a entire wall filled with different types of teas. I ordered the Tofu Soup and the beef BBQ bowl, both spicy. Along with a cucumber Mojito iced tea. You order up front and pick up at the counter. you don’t get the little side dishes that normally comes with BBQ at this place. The taste of the BBQ Beef with purple rice was really spot on. The tofu soup was good as well with tons of veggies in it. The tea was cool and refreshing from all the hot spices of the soup and BBQ. They served the BBQ beef in a stone bowl as well. I got the cold noodles to go since I was visiting for business and won’t have another opportunity to come back. The cold noodles were amazing. I highly recommend it if you want a snack you can store in your fridge and eat at anytime.

I love this place! It is close to my work and is a great place to come for authentic Korean food. The kimchi is AMAZING. I would come here for that alone. I usually get the dup bob or the kuk suh with either beef or chicken. The spicy sauce has some heat to it without overpowering the taste. I’m usually here for lunch. It can get pretty busy so expect a wait during peak lunch hour. The presentation of the meals is beautiful — cast iron bowls and metal chop sticks. They have forks at the counter by the water dispenser. Some days I shamelessly opt for the fork myself especially for rice dishes. Takeout comes in a compostable container but I suggest staying if you can. The kimchi servings are a bit more at the table and I enjoy the atmosphere. If you sit at the 4-top and it’s just you and/or a friend be prepared to share the table. I like that though — gives a community feel that makes me miss home where that kind of closeness is pretty standard.

With apologies to my fellow reviewers who rave about the food here, I must take issue. I ordered the touchstone dish, bibimbap, and did not like it. 1) The ingredients were less than what I expect in this dish. No greens or seaweed, no mushrooms, no bean sprouts, no chili sauce. Which would have been nice because no flavors at all have been added to this bowl of blanched, lukewarm veggies. When my food was presented, the person at the counter gave me a bottle of something dark and soy-like, which she curiously referred to as «hot sauce.» 2) My $ 1.50 organic egg was served fried, over, and hard. Sunny-side up is traditional, keeps the yoke runny and would certainly help a bowl of stuff already suffering from a lack of visual appeal. 3) The veggies in my bowl were served a couple degrees warmer than could actually be described as cold. A major ingredient was zucchini, something I have never encountered in this dish and, really, their paled mushiness did not help an already too-soft mass of ingredients. Personally, I prefer the style of bibimbap that has the rice dried and crunchy at the bottom of a stone bowl. I know this is optional amongst some cooks but, heck, that would have helped this sad bowl. Overall, this menu item felt uninspired, as if there wasn’t any individual care applied. «Just gettin’ through the day» assembly-line bibimbap fabrication. Sorry.

This place is a gem and I’ve never been to a healthy Korean restaurant before. I came with friends and we all shared the bibimbap the soup and their dub bop. All were delicious and gluten, dairy free. All the meats are natural and/or organic and the sesame rice here is a great addition to any of their meals. This is a must try for all boulderites. Their cup of peace tea is also very relaxing.
