Bobbi Ciani Salon

Unfortunately I have to give this salon one star based on a Brazilian wax I received from Eli Chivas. The condition of her space was sub par and I believe she didn’t change her sheets because there were stains and pieces of hair, possibly from the last client. I immediately felt uncomfortable with her. When we started the waxing session, I asked her if she double dipped, and she said yes, that all waxers do this. I corrected her and said that waxers aren’t supposed to double dip because it’s a health hazard. So she decided to not double dip but also began to complain to me and say how stupid it was for her to use a different stick each time. I left the salon very angry and frustrated with her service. Poor customer service and also poor Brazilian waxing technique. My skin became irritated and also had bumps. If you want a good Brazilian wax, do not go to Eli Chivas.

It is not as easy as everyone thinks for a guy to get a good haircut, unless you want the $ 5 flat top or the bowl cut. Valerie Duncan gives the best haircuts in the world. I live in San Diego and typically I have to hold out for my 3 – 4 trips a year to Boulder to get my haircut by her. She is reasonable and I am always happy with the job she does. I would recommend her to anyone. She is super creative and always gives me suggestions on products and styles to make me look good for the ladies. Check her out.

Valerie Duncan is a wonderfully talented and patience stylist! I’ve seen her at Bobbi Ciani Salon for about a year now and she always gives me cute, manageable and stylish cuts. She is an expert in her field and always has some suggestions for me that I am willing to try. She is carfeul and takes her time. She recently gave me a semi perm color to help protect my hair from sun damage this summer and it came out beautiful. My hair is soft and has a great shine to it. It is dark, but not too dramatic and it compliments my skin tone and eyes! She truly does have the client in mind when helping to formulate their perfect look.

Bobbi just added an online reservation system via his website, which eliminates the one difficulty in getting ahold of him. Yay Bobbi!

Bobbi Ciani gives a technically very good cut that was great for the thickness of my hair. Bobbi seems to keep his business small, so don’t expect a fancy receptionist but his approach does seem to allow him to focus on giving his customers lots of personal attention. Was caught a little off guard that cc’s were not accepted and had to run to the cash machine. Embarassing!
