This is definitely the place to go for great waxing. I’ve been following Vy around for years, now she opened her own salon. It’s very beautiful in there! Im such a big baby about the pain of the wax and she always puts me at ease and does a great job. She’s a sassy firecracker and is great at everything she does. And if you’re in the market for a hairdo, check out Mandy. She’s sweet as pie and uses organic hair color! Literally though, shes great at her work and so very kind and gracious. I always enjoy chatting during my service. Lots of parking and they make u tea when you arrive. Book in advance, they are popular. Sometimes I luck out and can get a same day appt. Highly recommend.

I had a really great experience here today with Mandy. I am so pleased with the cut she gave me.
Not to mention the price, which was very reasonable. $ 55 to turn my long, coarse hair into a sleek layered ‘do. Can’t wait to come back!

Hair cut and full highlight by Ann yesterday. I’m not very good at describing what I want done with my hair, but she knew exactly what to do with my minimal guidance and it turned out AWESOME. I have a lot of thick unruly hair, so I can honestly say she worked some magic with my short shoulder-​brushing cut. The highlights also look very natural, like I’ve just been laying out in the sun. She was efficient, her pricing was extra fair, and she has a super great personality. Can’t wait to go back in a few months!

Love this salon. Completely unpretentious yet upscale. All the stylists are fantastic at what they do. Joy is great for hair, Vy for waxing. Definitely worth becoming a regular!

Mandy is doing my hair and she is amazing. The cuts are perfect and she does a great job with the blow dry as well. I have been coming back since I moved to Boulder in the summer of 2014.

This review is for Mandy and Ann. I’ve been going back to Mandy for months for the perfect pixie bob ever, SHE IS GREAT. Ann stepped in when Mandy was unavailable and did a stellar job. The salon is clean, the staff efficient and friendly.
Ann did a great job giving my 14 month old rambunctious toddler his first haircut.

The salon may be relatively new but the great women who work there are not new to the business. experienced, professional woman who have all been doing this business for many years. Vy La runs a great salon with super friendly people and a nicely designed space. Easy parking. efficient scheduling and a really welcoming environment. Five stars with a few hearts thrown in!

I got a haircut done by Katie today– it was the first time I’ve been to Fifty4Thirty and I was really impressed. The salon is welcoming and very cute. Katie listened to my exact requests on how I wanted my hair cut. We didn’t converse much– and I appreciated this because I was looking to relax. I could also tell how concentrated she was on making my hair perfect. I’m extremely satisfied with my cut. My hair is SO shiny and feels so healthy! Coming from someone who is extremely picky about hair salons, I’d recommend this one to everyone! Wish I could go back tomorrow :)

I have been to Foundation Salon twice now, and I don’t think I’ll go anywhere else for waxing and eyelash tinting (yes it’s real, and yes it’s amazing!)
Vy did both my eyebrow wax and my tinting and she did a fabulous job! The salon has a great vibe, and all of the people who work there are fantastic. I have very sensitive skin, this is the first place I have ever gotten my eyebrows waxed that didn’t turn my face into an angry red disaster. Sure the other places can remove the hair, but Vy removes it with finesse, leaving brows perfectly shaped and soothed by essential oils.
I will definitely continue going to Foundation Salon for my waxing and tinting, and I look forward to trying all of the other wonderful services they offer!
