Studio 7

Studio 7 is the best salon I’ve ever been to. Tami does such a great job coloring my hair no one thinks it’s colored! It couldn’t look more natural. Jackie cuts my mediocre hair and turns it magically into something beautiful. My daughter lives out of town and only gets her hair cut when she can go to Studio 7. Tami and Jackie are always busy, so book ahead.

They are both very nice women. However, I have been getting my hair highlighted for 30 years and this is the worst highlight I have ever had. I paid more than I have ever paid for a highlight and cut, as well. Normally my highlights last 8 – 9 weeks. This lasted about 4 weeks. I am on week 5 now and it looks hideous. There are whole sections on my head where it is totally obvious that there were no highlights applied. The haircut was okay but my old stylist always did a great blowout that would last for a few days, not the case here. Again, the cut and blow dry was rushed. I couldn’t wait to style my hair myself when I left. I have long, layered hair so it’s not rocket science to style it. The appointment felt rushed as well, kind of like an assembly line of women moving through. For how much they charge I would expect a much more personal experience. Their prices are way out of line with the quality of the salon and skill level. I feel ripped off and taken advantage of. Very disappointed.

Tami and jacqi really know their stuff! I’ve been going here for years and I’ve never had a bad experience. Tami is the best colorist I’ve had –her highlights and lowlights are so well done; no streaks, just professional looking color.
I’ve had plenty of folks screw up my hair in the past, in fact 7 years ago my husband finally forced me to approach a woman whose hair I liked and ask who she went to — that’s how I found Jacqui. She has never done me wrong — she knows how to frame a face and to cut with the wave of my hair.

Tami and Jackie have been doing my hair for over a decade, and if it’s any testimony to their great work I’ll share with you that minimum once a month I get asked who does my hair when I’m out and about. I have great hair naturally? Not so! It’s fine, stick straight, dish water blonde hair. It would show lines from a bad cut and a thoughtless highlight would leave me with ugly roots in a few short weeks. My haircuts never fail and I can go 12 – 14 weeks between highlights because Tami gets the foils so perfect.
I should probably mention I’m a hairstylist who lives and works in a salon in Denver and yet… I will hike it up to Boulder to get my hair done by these ladies because I have yet to come across anyone with their skills and professional consistency.
