Game Force

Staff is very friendly and extremely knowledgeable. Sometimes I’ll go in there with a vague description of what type of game I’m looking for and they’ll happily throw suggestions and descriptions at me until something sticks.

I went into game force and they have next gen console games and more. They have tons and tons of stuff. They have new and used games. Atari and genesis consoles. They have it all.
However their prices are pretty steep. I understand this is boulder but there’s no reason to sell used games for the same price as GameStop or online. I came in and asked if they’d be willing to make a deal on a used game ($ 20 instead of $ 25) they said no because it was the only copy of shadow of mordor. Which strikes me as odd. Wait until someone comes in and pays full price or money for your business now. Oh well.

Hands down the best game store I’ve ever been to in my life. Their intense (and overwhelming) selection of Used and New games is only surpassed by the knowledge and friendliness of the staff.
Anything you need to know about with regards to gaming (from gaming history to the nuances of new releases), it’s here in the staff or customers.
Any adventure you seek, it’s here in the cache of board games, silicon chips and DVDs. This place is a wonderland if you are into games of any sort.

I love this place! It has all the things everyone else mentioned — really nice, knowledgeable staff, great selection, awesome customer service. But I wanted to add that as a female gamer, I’ve always felt really comfortable going into this store even though I’m often the only girl. Thanks for creating a safe, welcoming place! :)

If you’re into gaming or need a cool gift for someone who’s a gamer, you’ve got to go here. These guys are great and super friendly. They make some solid recommendations for games.
Their website is out of the goddamned 90s, though; but I won’t hold that against them. ;)
I’ve never traded a game with them, but it seemed fair based on what I witnessed.
They have a lot of rarer systems too, in case you’re looking to take a nostalgic trip down old-​school lane.

Absolutely a gem of a store. It makes me so grateful that places like this exist. If you even remotely enjoy video games, you need to trek over here and see their store and meet their amazing staff. Highly recommended.

Knowledgable staff with a great selection of retro games and new games. The guys here know what they’re doing when it comes to retro games and know how to deal with all old game consoles and how to repair the games.
I come in about once a week to check out their stock of old Nintendo games and I’m usually pleasantly surprised. They always have their Nintendo games for eBay price or better and allow you to test the games before you buy them.
Game Force also allows a 7 day warranty on used games which is nice due to the fragility of old Nintendo games. I don’t usually review businesses on Unilocal but game force is fantastic.

It takes a lot for me to give a business 5 stars. But Game Force has earned it hands down. For my 21^st birthday, I bought a PS3, but wanted games I’d never played– DUH! Enter Game Force.
Right from walking in you’ll see games. Floor to ceiling games. In display cases, out of cases, around the store, you name it. The library and history this place has inside of it is nothing short of incredible. Warning: you may get lost for hours, even in this small location. Game Force has everything dating from the ATARI 2600, all the way up to the Playstation 4. If you want a game, I will tell you without fear of contradiction that they have it.
Harris is an awesome dude– talk to him if you have the chance. He’s extremely knowledgeable about games and TV; he’ll give you as much information as he knows. Provided that you ask, of course!
If you’re a gamer in Boulder, you owe it to yourself to visit this business. Absolutely outstanding!

Game Force is by far the best game retail experience you can have in Boulder.
If you’re looking for a collector’s item or for the newest title, this is the place to go. They have a very fair tradeback policy and a great selection of used games.
These guys get it right — the staff is super nice and knowledgeable, and excellent at making suggestions. Sometimes I get the feeling that they’ve played everything.
It’s also a fun place to bring your friends or children — totally friendly to all ages.
The only problem with Game Force is that every time I go there, I want to buy everything there.
If you go to game stop or target to get games in Boulder, you’re missing out big time. Go to Game Force.

This is my favorite game store, after going just a couple times. Awesome selection, the staff is helpful and knowledgeable, and prices are in-​line with current going rates. I was especially impressed with their selection of old GBA and DS games. Highly recommended.

When a video game store stays alive for years, tucked in not just a strip mall, but the intersecting corner of 2 different strip malls, you know they have to be doing something right.
Tucked next to Suki Thai, Dairy Queen, Carelli’s and Sprouts, this is a small, down-​to-​basics store. Most video game stores sacrifice style for function and this one is no different. Games and movies line every surface, but unlike your average Game Stop, this store has a large collection of games that span the last 30 years. They are pretty much everywhere in and on every surface, along iwth consoles to go along with each one. They buy back games, and that is evident when you see 50 copies of «Madden ’95» in the Atari game bin, but there are treasures to be found.
I was hoping to see something actually rare or interesting, like Earthbound or Mother 3, or Conker’s Bad Fur day, or something. They didn’t have anything quite like that. They did have Toejam and Earl for Atari, in original box, which I picked up. They did, however, charge me more than the online going rate, and I knew it, but I did want to support them.
There are so many crappy games (I’m looking at you, «E.T.») that you almost have a feeling you’ll find something amazing hiding in a bin somewhere, but no, they have those pretty obviously sectioned off. If you want a game for $ 3 – 5, you can find one, which would probably help your kids feel grateful for modern technology. You can also buy the traditional, and wacky non-​traditional gaming systems. They even had a Famicom, and some other imported goods. The service was OK, but considering that I am a not-​ugly female, surprisingly aloof. Maybe they were trying to figure out how to talk to me. Either way, I had to put on my weak and helpless face to finally get someone to come get a game out of the case, and there weren’t other customers. But, overall, especially for Boulder, this is a good independent gaming option.

Despite how far it is, the travel is well worth it.
This store carries the widest variety of gaming I’ve ever encountered here in Colorado. It spans every generation and even has imports.
Everything is decently priced and the staff is also pretty good at their job.

There is no better game store in Boulder. Game Force is locally owned, the selection is awesome, and the employees are great.

This place is a gem. If you have an older system, you have to see this place. They have great selection and really reasonable prices. It is also nice to be able to go into a store, look around and not be completely hounded every 30 seconds like you get at the chain retail stores. The people inside the store are always friendly and knowledgeable. I bought 4 Sega Genesis games for 10 bucks and they took the time to clean them out and make sure they were going to work properly for me. It is obvious they take pride in their store, as they should.

I’ve moved away from Boulder, and this is by far the store I miss the most.
Their staff is great and can offer good recommendations to anyone, from the mom looking for the newest Pokemon title to a hardcore player who needs a new JRPG. Also, when I bought a replacement Xbox, they offered to buy the cables and controller from me to help offset the cost… so classy.
Their selection is comprehensive, offering the current hits as well as older games and imports. The used game prices are very reasonable (not $ 5 off the current retail price), and their trade-​in values are good too. They also let you try out used games on their in-​store machines.
Game Force is a fantastic operation and I felt privileged to give them my business. They are good people in a retail industry full of sleazebags.

Game Force is like the Video Station of video game stores: it has qualified (yes, this means über-​nerds who know their v. games) people working the counters who can answer any question, make pertinent suggestions, and in general are all around nice guys. I’ve been in here several times over the years (uh-oh…the secrets out) and they’ve cut me deals several times.
Game Force specializes in older games for good prices, as well as in trade-​ins. They give you decent dollar for your used games and systems, especially in trade, which is something that a lot of places don’t do very well. Further this place also has a decent animé and dvd collection, so it really is a nerd’s Valhalla in many ways.
