The Boulder Moe’s is awesome. I first fell in love with it at the location in Vail years ago but no living in Boulder and now a vegetarian the Boulder location is awesome. They have tons of side dishes that are vegetarian friendly and they even have two sandwiches; smoked tofu! Which is awesome! And and a sloppy mo. The best part is the sauce, slather up!

If this place would stay open until their posted hours state, that would be great. I’ve shown up countless times, even after calling ahead to verify they’re open, just to find that they’re closed. Last night I show up, 8:30, door is open, sign lights are on… The rudest girl I’ve ever dealt with there(or in awhile, in general) didn’t even look up from texting on her phone for a few minutes before snarkily snapping at me «we’re closed». Okay, well then lock your doors and turn your sign off. Ugh. The worst ever. It’s too bad, because the food is great.

went there the other night to get some wings heard they were good, some tall skinny white chick was standing right next at the front door choking on a ciggy with some other friends, had to hold my breathe as I walked through her second hand smoke, she must not be from round here and know that only the bums smoke in our healthy town, once I got inside I was looking forward to some tasty wingdings but when I got home they were probably sitting there allday because they were dry as dirt, when I called the next day it sounded like the mgr could of used one of those cancer sticks because he was very irritable and did not want to hear my complaint and offered a refund for those dried up yardbird parts, you can keep your credit I will never go back there and tell my friends if you go you better hold your breathe around this joint :(

So yummy. We got it delivered by hungrybuffs and we got the combo plate with two servings of pulled pork and one of brisket. The brisket was TODIEFOR. The pulled pork great as well! Very flavorful, not dry at all. I’ve been looking for good bbq in Boulder for a while and I have found it. Also, if it was this good delivered, I can’t imagine how good it is right on spot. Can’t wait to have more.

I am rating this 5 stars so that it gets recognized. I really really enjoyed going to Moe’s because the food is great and reasonably priced. However, I could not have been any more turned off by the terrible customer service that I received last night. My friends and I had planned on getting Moe’s for dinner. I had a meeting that ended around 8:30pm so I checked to see what the restaurants hours were and saw that they closed at 9pm. My friends and I were aware that we were cutting it close as we walked into Moe’s at 8:51pm. The cashier(I am assuming that was her job since she was counting the money inside the register) looked at us and without any hesitation said«We’re done». I gave her a confused look and told her the time and mentioned that their sign says that they close at 9pm(not to mention that this restaurant is located right across from college dorms so they should know that college students like eating later). Her response? She went on to say«ya well times fluctuate. We were slow so we decided to shut down the kitchen.» She did not even think about what she was saying. She could have, at the very least, been apologetic toward us and then I probably would not be here typing up this review. I told her that they should adjust their hours since its misleading. In reality, that employee needs to be taught how to give respect to customers because we did not do anything to deserve the remarks and poor customer service that she gave us. It is unfortunate because I enjoy Moe’s food, but now I will be hesitant to return since I don’t think they deserve my business.

Briskets and pulled pork and corn bread were dry. I had expected service to be nonexistent but the girl who took our order went out of her way to provide horrible service even though service was expected to be zero at this establishment. It was our first time here as we are visitor from out of town. She rushed us to order even though we told her that we needed a few minutes to look at the menu at the top above the kitchen. During the ordering process she gave that condescending tone like we should have known what to expect here. Then we missed them calling our name when the order was ready. She brought the food over and literal tossed it on our table as if she did us a favor by bringing it to us. We apologized for not hearing them calling our names but she turned away and didn’t acknowledge any of it and walked away with an attitude. Overall I guess I’m shock to find out that the lack of service can be better than bad service. The service was so bad I wished I had ordered my food with an automated machine and had a buzzer to let me know when the food is ready.

The food tasted really great. So good in fact I went back up to the counter to order something to take home. And was completely ignored by 3 employees for over 5 minutes. Like they all saw me, not a single one acknowledged me they just continued to talk to each other(not about work) I did unfortunately see one of them stick his hand down his pants and scratch his butt so kind of killed my appetite for bringing something home ugh. Pros food tasted amazing, location. Cons Poor customer service, unhygienic behavior, cost

Had to change my review of this place. Great food and drinks are killer! I really appreciate the service overall, bar manager is wonderful. I will be back!

Looking forward to my next lunch here! Decent BBQ although I don’t think I have very discerning tastes when it comes to BBQ. If its tender and has good sauce or dry rub, I’m a fan. Rustic interior fits BBQ vibe. Would definitely return. limited outdoor seating. no view however.

good stuff, quick and dirty… only went once when I was in town, but it did what it was suppose to do. I had the sampler, good service and would come back. I can’t get too excited behind 3 stars… I’ve had the best BBQ in the country in TX, Memphis, New Orleans, Chicago and S. America and Australia… I have a very high BBQ bar. No sauce, no rub… show me what you got!

Picked up the double wide option to go and it was fantastic! We have been to the Alabama locations and I really wanted some southern style BBQ and this definitely hit the spot. The only thing missing was a veggie side option, the sweet potato casserole was great but I definitely would have liked to have some okra/turnip greens/collard greens/lima beens or something green and cooked in a lot of bacon fat! Thanks for the great food Moe’s!

Fried catfish sandwich for their Friday special was pretty good. But for $ 9! A scum ass bottom feeder? That costs very little… Pretty steep Kelley, kelly, kell… However you spell it. She’s the bartender she’s pretty good looking but not very excited about her job. I waited for my second beer and she comped it so she definitely has customer service skills but at the same time whatever. More is good if you definitely want bbq, if you’re on the fence go else where.

They won me over today, with a little help from my friends! The food here was good last time, the experience was not. But coming in early today for a lunch rather than a busy time of evening gave me a chance to see them at their best. Tables today were still clean for the day and I was with friends who knew I had been concerned in the past and helped to make sure we did have a clean table. Today I tried the brisket sandwich with a side of slaw and an unsweetened iced tea. All good. Nice tender brisket on a decent roll, not too much sauce, with a side of my favorite slaw in Boulder, marinated, not«mayoed.» The self serve iced tea comes both sweet and unsweet and are served from separate dispensers, separate from the soda machine. Always tastes fresher to me this way. Price was just right and I like the option of a sandwich with just one side. As it was, I really could not finish everything since I rarely eat this much for lunch. Good sized portions for a lot of their customers. I will come back again and see if the place is still clean some evening. It would be a treat if I could add this location into my quick casual dinner rotations. The food is worth it. And I could do takeout but often that option is not as appealing as eating in.

WAREAGLE That’s what you say when you walk in since the manager is an Alabama boy. We came here for a quick drink and to gather with friends. Service is friendly and Bloody Mary’s delicious(they serve them with a side of Okra-now that’s Southern). I didn’t get to try the food but maybe next time because it smelled delicious!

I drove all the way to Moe’s to find out they were out if Ribs! So disappointed a BBQ place that is out of ribs at 4p. It like a hotdog stand being out if hotdogs. LAME

Not really feeling Moe’s anymore. The second to last time I called to order takeout I was told they were out of chicken and turkey at the middle of dinner time. Hrrm. Yesterday my coworkers and I decided to order a large takeout order. None of my coworkers had a problem with their food, but I felt the portions were quite skimpy and the quality of the smoked turkey was s’okay. The coconut cream pie I was sold turned out to be a grasshopper pie and by pie I mean medium size sauce cup of something that can only be described as pie by lack of any other descriptive term for what that gelatinous business was. tor $ 14.80($ 17 with a tip) I felt like I received at best $ 11 worth of food. Brothers in Westminster is WAY better. Just put it in your mouth.

My Colorado cousin took me and my son(both from Central Texas where Bar B Que is king) to this place. That may have been a risky move on his part! But the place was way better than I was expecting. I really can’t give it s complete review as I only had a pulled pork sandwich. I was prompted from other Unilocalers to get it «Bama style» and it was very good, but did not knock the socks off this texan. The service was fast, and the ambiance was cool I guess, but maybe a little manufactured. I would certainly eat here again, but would not go out of my way to do it.

BEST. BBQ. IN. BOULDER. They smoke all their meat fresh every day. It is so moist and delicious. Everything here is amazingly mouth-watering and it’s just a super fun place to hang out. Happy hour M-F until 6 with great deals on drinks and wings.

This place is definitely a good, quick, reasonably priced place to get some barbeque. I went here a few times while I stayed on campus for a summer program. It was right next to the school so the location can’t be beat. The décor is quirky, cute, and different. They even had this table that had a chair that looked like a ski-lift chair — very unique. I happen to stumble on in when they were playing live music, which was cute and nice — especially to be serenaded on my way home from a whole day of classes — ugh. Food is good. The chicken was tender and a good portion. Cornbread and mac and cheese was good. The only con I have to say is that it seems like it would take quite some time to get my order out but eh, I was being serenaded while waiting so… who cares about the waiting?

I checked out this Moe’s location last evening and went with the Angus Brisket platter, which was great. Really good flavor, without an overwhelming smoky bbq hang to it. The bbq beans were also really good. I’d had a few beers under the belt, but no matter — the cornbread could’ve really used some work. It looked appetizing, but had absolutely no flavor except air. Also, the banana pudding seemed to taste more like vanilla pudding, but at least it had the traditional vanilla wafer inside. I’d go back in a heartbeat. Just skip the airbread!
