Worst BBQ I have had in all of Colorado. The meat was tasteless and full of huge hunks of fat. The sauce just tastes of black pepper and vinegar. The beans and the chili are so overloaded with pepper that they are not even edible. When I dont eat something you know its bad.

When ever i go here, i get the same thing, a June bowl with everything in it, so i feel qualified to say that everything that they make their is delicious and when you mix it all together it’s even better I would say that you should definitely go here

Dropped by this place on the way home from Estes Park. After passing Big Daddy’s from no lights on, my family and I decided on this place. I’ve had ribs at many places, but theirs are BETTER than Chili’s, hands down. They may have a limited selection of sides, and their mild sauce may be medium to hot, and the Elvis décor might be a bit much, but it’s a pretty decent place. And the Tea is ALWAYS Sweet! First place I’ve been to out here since moving out of TN that has No Unsweet Tea visible. They gets props for that one! Like I said, better than Chili’s ribs, may rival Texas Roadhouse! Keep making delicious ribs, I’ll keep devouring them!

Excellent BBQ in N Boulder. Tasty sauce and fast service. As a Texas I can really appreciate this meat shop in the thick of salad land.

AMAZING breakfast bowls. I work nearby and stop in here often for Breakfast. The food is delicious and FAST! Service is okay, there is one very friendly guy who works most days but the rest of the staff hasn’t always been super cheery. Not bad though! I’d definitely recommend this place for a quick breakfast to take out or eat in. Haven’t had their lunch yet!

Nice breakfast stop. I had the egg sandwich and my wife had the grits. We also picked up some extra biscuits. The atmosphere is super casual and the food came out quickly. My sandwich was pretty good and had a little spice to it. The biscuits were scratch made and excellent. The grits stood out. I didn’t give this 5 stars only because I reserve that rating for a unique experience. This is an easy stop for a real breakfast when you are on your way somewhere. No complaints.

The dinky portion might be forgivable with decent brisket, but now I know why the sauce was most of the weight in the bag. You need the sauce to re-hydrate the brisket. The sauce saves the review actually. Without the sauce, this would be a 1-star review. I’m going to assume I showed up on a bad day and had accidentally lousy brisket. They give you a pile of it with a to-go sandwich, so I brought the rest home. I’ve used it on a couple of things now & kinda want to see if I can find a jar of it. I didn’t try any side offerings. I kinda wanted chips but 2 bucks for an extra-small bag of Lay’s seems steep. I’ll try it one more time — next time the pulled pork.

Ribs are meaty and smoked to perfection! Sauce was little spicy but not to much… The hot link was sooo good! Only bad thing, I wanted more the next day(Sunday) and they are closed… I need my meats!

This place is disgusting– restaurant was dirty and depressingly empty. I went in to get take out for my kids and myself. I decided to just get the pulled pork sandwiches just for the boys as I really didn’t want anything from there after seeing it. The pork was dry and sauce less! Neither one finished their sandwich. Oh and they were out of coleslaw at 7 pm. Really? BBQ without slaw? Just a dried up meat sandwich. Do not go there

I have been to KT’s many times and I generally get the pulled pork as I have tried their beef and it was not as good. So I tried their beef brisket sandwich with hopes that it would be better but still not so great. They over cook their beef and it winds up with a mix of beef and very thick crust that is more like jerky. The beef is dry and doesn’t have that melt in your mouth brisket taste which it should so once again a fail for the brisket. KTs has been around a long time and this really should be improved. I have that I have to leave Boulder to get good brisket…

4pm on a Tuesday and the place was practically empty we didn’t have to wait in line at all. I got the June Bowl with mashed potatoes and pulled pork. I really liked the mashed potatoes since they weren’t too salty. The pulled pork was tender and comes with sauce on side as a default which is great. I love how they always have the sauce on the side. My husband was impressed with how tender and fatty the beef brisket was. I only give less star because they don’t have very much variety. Wish they had more sides like green beans, collard greens, mac and cheese, sweet potatoes, wings, fries, etc. But overall, my opinion is this place is MUCH better than Moe’s BBQ.

I happened to be in the neighborhood and thought I would give them a try one more time. Sorry I did. The meat was so dry I could hardly eat, their family meal that claims to feed 4 is a joke. It feeds two adults, and I’m not a big eater. The girl behind the counter, while friendly, looked like she could use a shower. I’ve convinced myself, I’m not going back again.

This review only pertains to the breakfast. I’m so excited that they are doing mornings now as a southern boy. It is one of the best deals in town for a well-made scratch southern breakfast. I had most of the menu and all the items are made with care. I have been there six times in the last three weeks if that speaks for anything.

New location but felt the food quality dropped. I ordered a pound of ribs and brought them home, they were so overcooked and dry. There was zero flavor. I thought the chicken was ok– but also pretty dry. The BBQ sauce is very good and helped make up for the dry chicken but there was nothing that could help the ribs. The beans are good but the coleslaw also sort of mediocre. I would definitely skip coming back here for my next night of takeout– two of us and it was $ 45 and because the ribs were so bad I am glad I ordered a pound of chicken.

We had them cater a 4th of July BBQ for us so this review is for the catering only. They were very easy to order from online, and they followed up with a phone call to confirm as promised. The caterer arrived on time and set up efficiently. She was very friendly and unobtrusive. We had them them provide chafing dishes and plasticware, but not servers. The food was better than we expected for the price! The chicken was moist, and the sides were all very tasty. We would definitely use them again!

Not good. Just plain not good. I got 1⁄3 lb of brisket ribs and pork shoulder. I gave my wife a piece of the brisket and shoulder and she couldn’t tell the difference between the two. That’s really bad!!! The ribs are terrible. The skin has some flavor and the meat is flavorless. The only reason it am giving 2 stars is because the sauce and sides are good.

Cool spot. Only been to this location. I’m an insta-fan. Guy in line suggested the June Bowl(1 meat 2 sides your choice haystacked a couple times) and then cashier suggested using slaw, taters, pulled pork and Carolina Mustard. I’m hooked. Sampled a few other meats and they were good enough that I’ll go with the 4 stars…and going back for the June Bowl again and again.

I first started eating at KT’s over 20 years ago when Kirk and Tricia first were starting their business out in that crumbling old house around 60th and Arapahoe with semi trailer storage out back. They then later opened the 74th and Arapahoe location in an former Caribbean restaurant. Fast forward some 20 years later when returning to visit family and imagine the surprise to see locations in Denver and Broomfield in addition to the two Boulder stores. Meal-wise, things have not changed much since then and that’s a good thing. The pulled pork ‘Pig Pile’ is as good as ever, especially their original ‘Elvis Style’, putting the side of slaw on top of the sandwich. Both the tangy and sweet sauces are some of the most distinctive I’ve had and are great. To be clear, it ain’t Rudy’s, but it’s damn good!
