TB has steadily been going downhill for a while — used to be my «go to» for burgers but something changed and the quality has gone down the drain. Ordered a few burgers wings fries and onion rings for my family last night and everything was overcooked/borderline burnt. TB was far from busy(one table) and the staff kind of hanging out — Disappointing the it was expensive and super well done as we live about 15mins away so we were kind of saddled with what we got — The wings were barley edible — sad to get such sub par food from a place I used to really love. This is the 4th time in a row that our food was disappointing and likely our last. My love for TB(back in the day) is the only reason I gave it two stars

I had the chicken BBQ sandwich, pretty good since they were about to close. Good flavor and big portions.

This is pretty much our go-to place for wings and burgers. Not amazing, but pretty good for the price.

Jalapeño Burger, the burger was good. The patty was like really seasoned they must have like gone nuts with the seasoning. It gave the patty good flavor and it was really juicy. The guys at the place were really friendly. And I would definatley be down to try the Bar-b-q at somepoint.

Good ribs, BBQ sandwiches and decent fries. Never tired the burgers. BONUS: Both locations are right next to a Glacier branch. Together they make an awesome meal.

This place is terrible. I have been there twice, one time they gave me the completely wrong burger, the other time it just was not good at all. Both times the staff gave off a very negative attitude, and I had to wait 20 – 25 minutes to get my food when there was nobody even in the place. Bottom line, this place blows, and I would recommend avoiding it at all costs. You can even get a better burger at Good Times.

One typically doesn’t think of Boulder and burgers at the same time. Not to belittle places to get good burgers, like Foolish Craigs; but especially with the demise of Tom’s Tavern, lunch in Boulder trends towards the other food groups. Almost by accident I stumbled into Thunderbird Burgers. There was a good crowd there, and… BBQ! Although an ardent fan of KT’s, I gave the BBQ pork shoulder a shot. It was life changing. No longer will I feel compelled to battle lunchtime traffic to drive to KTs; Thunderbird is more than good enough. The fries were also good, and the counterstaff was friendly and efficient. My co-=worker’s three-year old made her usual mess of shredded napkins and scattered pepper; and rather than eliciting scowls from the staff, all were taken by her world-class cuteness(or at least did a good job of pretending to be). This will be a new regular place in my lunch rotation!

I have nothing earth-shattering to say about Thunderbird. When I want a burger, I’ll generally head for the Sink or the Hungry Toad — I like my burgers thick and juicy and slathered with all sorts of craziness. However, if I don’t happen to be on the west side of town I’ll go to Thunderbird, no problem(this usually happens when I’ve been shopping myself into a coma over at Rags). It’ll do in a bind. The burgers are on the thin side and a bit overwhelmed by the bread, while the toppings are hit/miss — you may get your BBQ burger so slathered that it’s pretty much a burger milkshake — or you might get a polite little dollop. I also find the prices a bit high for the size of the burger you get, and I’ve also noticed that the classic meal deal(fries and a drink for a set price) doesn’t even save you money! But there’s nothing here that’s ever made me sick, or even made me make a disgusted face. When you just plan crave a burger, and don’t much care about anything other than whether it satisfies that craving, Thunderbird will do. (The only reason that this is two stars instead of three is because of the plethora of better burger options in Boulder — not just the two I mentioned, but also Mountain Sun, and, hell, Good Times, for the price. Standing alone, it’d merit three.)

Oh Thunderbird. While I initially wrote you off as a generic burger joint, you have consistently proven me wrong in most delicious ways. Your ribs are epic, your burgers are amazing, and while your fries are a bit hit-or-miss your onion rings trend awesome. It’s incredibly hard to justify eating here as often as I do. It’s even harder not to.

Not a bad little joint. Burgers were tasty, sizes were good, ribs were so-so per my girlfriend, and the price was right.
