Went here for weekday lunch with a group, and the atmosphere was nice with a large round table and good beer list. The menu is a nice size with a lot of options for burgers, sandwiches, and salads, though a lot seemed overpriced. I got the Bronco burger with fries and it was decent. I wouldn’t come back again unless I really wanted to watch a game.

I moved to Boulder for the summer, and I sure am glad I found Harpos. They have awesome lunch specials, and a very friendly staff. The owner, Harpo, is a great guy and he knows how to make his customers feel appreciated. This is my favorite bar in Boulder. I appreciate the friendly atmosphere!

Very rarely have I been so angry with a place. The bar staff asked a blonde haired, blue eyed Estonian for her passport as ID, and then proceeded to serve her. A white Australian was also deemed worthy for a drink. A few Mexican guys, with their passports on them, were refused service. They were told that only official US paper work counted as ID… So they showed them their visas. This too was not good enough. This place is staffed by bigoted punks, dude bros, and racist idiots. I’m glad they lost the $ 1,000 or so in business when our entire group left in disgust. If this is how they treat tourists, they should be shut down by the city council.

Bar is staffed with ignorant management and won’t serve tourists with legit passports and USA issued visas. Not the place to visit if you’re only a tourist in the fine state of Colorado. Well they served the white ones who had Estonian passports, but not the Mexican ones with Mexican passports!

Servers/​bartenders are too content. As «new» customers, we got mediocre service. The regulars are serviced well and consistently. Hopefully the place can live off their tips because they won’t be getting return return customers anytime soon. Oh, food? No. Eat at McDonald’s first.

Fun Trivia nights, lots of games to play here if you need something to do at the bar besides watch sports. Yummy burgers, even the veggie patty is really good too. Good luck trying to get a seat at the bar at happy hour, its packed early on

Fabulous atmosphere! Really quality sports bar with big screen tvs and many channels to choose from! Also friendly and welcoming even to an out of towner like me! Thanks to he owner for the great harpo’s souvenirs! I love it and so does harpo! Although his sports bar and grill is not nearly as fun as the original!

This place was lively during the Rousey fight. Apparently the only place in Boulder showing ufc ppv tonight.
Very friendly door staff.
Had no where to sit but a lovely server took my order anyway, and I ate standing up with my plate on the host’s desk.
The buffalo soldier sandwich was very decent, great flavor.
Plenty of tvs, and the sound was good.

Good sports/​dive bar. Cheap prices, regular pub food. Had to lower the rating because always seems understaffed, or at least service is slow even when not busy. Often have to flag down your server if you want anything else.
Fun spot for any CU games or other sports events.

One of the manager’s just kicked me out (a loyal customer) because I was falsely accused of being someone else. The owner didn’t even take time to talk to me and was angry that I was there. Once again not me. Human compassion and understanding was lacking.

This place has gone downhill over the last 6 or so months. The waitresses are still nice (and a bit slow because it’s understaffed). But the quality of the food has gone from quite good to piss-​poor.
Whatever you order will come out overcooked and luke-​warm (a weird combination). And I think the quality of the food itself has been reduced.

Old review:
This is a sports bar (which I generally don’t go to). The food is pretty good, say 4 stars. Standard sports bar fare. I’ve had both the burger and the tacos and both are good. I went with a large group and they were all happy with their meals.
The service is good. They are understaffed and that can delay ordering a bit but the waitresses are all moving fast and so it’s not too bad.

Absolutely HORRID service. Sat at table for 15 minutes before I was even acknowledged. When asked to order, I got the «wait a minute» finger. 15 minutes later I walked out.
It wasn’t busy. The wait staff were milling around,
Avoid unless you have no other option.

Great atmosphere with some pretty decent food. Taco night well worth it and beer prices good for the area. If you get a chance stop in you won’t be disappointed.

Waitress was nice and polite, however the food is just not worth it.
My wings were served cold and tasted like…
You know when you are at a family reunion, and you grab your aunts wings that she is oh so proud of, but then you take a bite and think «crud.. . That was not tasty and I still have a plate of this».
My table then shared with me that they weren’t impressed at all with the burgers or grilled cheese.
I will not becoming back and will advocate avoiding this place if presented again.
The beer and fries were tasty, though.

Best Nachos in town! Get them with chicken.
Spacious, Ive never had to wait for a table. TVs everywhere, Ive only had trouble with watching a certain game once, and they eventually bought it for us.
When its busy service can get a little slow but if you’re watching the game with a pitcher you probably wont notice.

I’ve been to Harpo’s a few times and had a fairly decent time. Generally we go for the Friday night all you can eat fish. Last night we went in for dinner. The service was NOT good. The iced tea had no flavor and looked more like a tea bag had been dipped in the pitcher for five seconds and then served. I did mention it to the server. Her response? «I know.»
Potato skins were a bit overdone. Fries were good, fish was not as good as usual. They changed the cole slaw and I felt sick to my stomach after one bite. Sadly, the server was not interested in actually serving us. It was as if we were somehow a bother. It’s too bad because for a Friday evening they were not that busy. Perhaps they should just serve burgers, wings, and beer for the kids coming in to watch the games and forget real food service…
