At exactly an hour I called and was told it was on the way. At an hour and 15 my wife called and was told it hadn’t yet been picked up for delivery. For lying and leaving a hungry toddler and pregnant woman without dinner on a snowy night they offer 30% off. I am SICK of the poor service in Boulder. One star, Julino’s.

I ordered a small two-topping pizza this evening and was told delivery would take 1 hr. bc they were short-staffed. 90 minutes later, still no pizza. A call to Jalinos and they offered me their apologies, and said they would be there soon. So I asked, are you trying to bring me my stale pizza? They discussed it and decided on a new one which would take another 30 minutes. I said forget it. Jalino’s, this was the first time I have ordered from you. I want to support local businesses but this was bad business. You are in control of your staffing and scheduling; if your staff is not up to par, get new staff. Furthermore, when a mistake has been made its best to rush fresh food, on the house – thats how you make patrons. Unfortunately I cannot even comment on the food – definitely a disappointing experience.

I like my pizza with a very thin crunchy crust, light cheese, and medium amount of sauce. Jalino’s pizza crust is a bit thicker and a little less crunchy than I prefer, has a LOT more cheese than I ever want to eat at once, and has too much sauce as well. Seriously, one of those pies has more cheese than what your weekly recommended dairy dose should be. If your tastes are more like those of Europeans or New Yorkers, you’ll find this pizza gross. If your tastes are more like those of most Americans, you’ll probably find this pizza awesome.

Since being sold and acquired by a new owner earlier this year, Jalino’s has not just gone down hill, it’s plunged into the depths. The biggest change is the totally unresponsive and poor attitude of the staff. We’ve tried, we’ve really tried to keep going here(a pizza order every Friday night for many, many years.) But last Friday, 8/23, was the last and final straw. I ordered my take ‘n bake pizza by phone for pick-up by my wife. She arrived 30 minutes later and was told that they had absolutely no record of the order. Interesting since I placed the order and had the order taker read it back to me! Instead of apologizing and saying they would get right on it, the two slackers hanging around began to laugh! They repeated that they had no record of the order and continued to say how funny this is. My wife exercised restrain and just walked out. But, they have lost a long standing regular customer and gained this review on Unilocal and every other site that I can think of! Nice going, Jalinos!

I’ve been eating at Jalino’s ever since high-school. Their premium pizzas are massive and overflowing with toppings. The staff has always treated me right, and their desserts are to die for. While their large pies can be on the pricey side, they are worth every penny. You won’t find pizza this good anywhere in boulder.

Ordered the classic with mozzarella, tasted like borderline raw dough and was super soggy, generally undercooked. Not to mention it was $ 20 for a large, which is a little steep for undercooked. It was relatively fast delivery but I would rather wait for better quality

I’ve been coming here for a long time. the Pizza is pretty good. better then Blackjack or alot of the chain places. however the price here is nuts… almost 30.00 for a pizza? are you crazy? if the prices were normal i would give it one more star. but it loses one for the pricing

This is my favorite place for delivery pizza in Boulder. It’s very fresh, flavorful and the ingredients are high quality. My only complaint is the price. For one 16″ pizza we often pay at least $ 25, which seems like a lot. But I keep ordering it, so I guess it’s worth it!

I picked up a pizza for the first time tonight, and I’ll probably be back. The pizza has a good, spicy sauce and *a lot* of cheese. The quality of the cheese was better than I expected, given the place is a little hole in the wall. The large pie is a little expensive, but it’s also very heavy. When I picked up the box I imagined it being stacked to the top with pepperoni and chorizo, but it wasn’t. It was very filling, and next time I’m starving, I’ll definitely be back.

I don’t understand why people like their pizza. I’ve been there twice, and both times left unhappy. On my first visit, I came in wanting to order a pizza and wound up standing like an idiot for about 7 minutes while the staff completely ignored me, they even had the audacity to look away when I was trying to get their attention. I left after about 7 minutes very pissed off. On my second visit, I finally decided to give them a second chance and ordered 2 slices — one cheese, and one with pepperoni and jalapenos. Both slices completely sucked! There was waaaaaaaay too much cheese and sauce, which made them soggy, and after the second bite into my pepperoni pizza the entire cheese/toppings part came off — extremely annoying. Plus, the tomato sauce and dough were utterly flavorless, a serious crime in the world of pizza. Overall, both experiences were utterly disappointing and very annoying. That said, you will never see me eating their pizza!

Had lunch today from them and it was a pleasant surprise. Lots of toppings, plenty of sauce and cheese plus crust was good. You get a lot of food for the money for sure. On the top of one of my favorite places in Boulder for pizza definitely now.

To all the haters out there: don’t get the cheese! Get one of their awesome delicious monthly slice specials. It’s not«cheap» … i guess… except two slices will fill you up for 7 bucks because they are stacked with toppings. They also do a good job of making the ingredients go well together and GASP you can actually hold it like a pizza! Stuff won’t fall off! One of the more underrated places in Boulder… probably because it looks like crap from the outside

Great pizza in Boulder? Get outta here. For my wife and I, coming from New York and Chicago, delicious pizza is not merely an expectation; it is a necessity. We had heard all the horror stories about the sub-par pie in Colorado. We had tried the chain place, which lived up to its sad reputation. We had almost given up finding really good pizza in Boulder. But I’ve gotta tell ya… Jalino’s Pizza is pretty damn good. My wife & I tried Jalino’s on a recommendation from a friend, and are glad we did. Quality ingredients. Nice crust. Tasty sauce(with a spicy zing). I was impressed by the large variety of crusts, sauces, cheeses, and toppings. Enough choices to please carnivores and herbivores alike. We loved the option of the whole wheat crust. Jalino’s is not perfect. They did give us green peppers instead of green olives, like we ordered. But the resulting pizza was still delish. I have to give them the full 5-star«Woohoo! As good as it gets!»(especially in Boulder). This will definitely be our regular pizza joint, even though we are out of their delivery area.

This is a tough call. The pizza can be great. The sauce is spicy flavorful, and really makes the pie. If you don’t like spicy, stay away; if you do, you may find Nirvana But the downside… had a run of burnt pizzas delivered, blackened on the bottom. First time, oh well. Second time, hmmmm. Third time, called the place and talked to the manager, who made it perfectly clear he didn’t care and we could take it or leave it. We’ve left it.

They delivered fast and the pizza was good. The crust is spongy and has nice flavor. The toppings are fresh and they have lots of good specialty pizza options to choose from. The prices are a little high since the pizza wasn’t particularly gourmet, but they weren’t outlandish. They’re a little heavy handed with the cheese, but that’s not a deal breaker. All in all solid pizza.

Brutal pizza. Not super cheap, but completely worth it. This is definitely a ‘colorado style’ pizza. Not thin crust. Not thick crust. Just amazing awesome amount of delicious crust. My favorite thing to order there is Ham, Pineapple and Pepperoncini, and I am not usually a Hawaiian pizza guy. If the ingredients aren’t great it really shows through on this pie. They nail it.

All right, first off, let’s get it straight: I haven’t eaten at Jalino’s in YEARS. And, in the interest of full disclosure, I used to be a delivery guy at this place in the late 80’s. But the pie was AWESOME. The best in Boulder, AND the best place to deliver pies from in Boulder. Even in the 80’s, their pie was the priciest in town, so you made good tips working here, because who’s gonna bat an eyelash at an extra buck when the pie was $ 20? I fondly remember charging around town in my Yugo, delivering pies, making good bucks, and getting an eyeful of college chicks in their underwear. Jalino’s!

As a wishy-washy, reluctant, only-eats-pizza-when-there-are-no-better-options pizza-eater, I can confidently say that Jalino’s serves up the pizza I eat the least reluctantly. Even I can definitely recognize that it’s quality pizza and I enjoy that I can choose my crust type, my crust ingredients, my cheese, my sauce, and my toppings for not that big a premium. Their ‘regular’ sauce is spicy. I think that’s a plus. It adds a kick to even the most common pizza. I like mine with BBQ sauce though(and thin crust, provolone, chicken, green peppers, and fresh garlic is my favorite combo to get with it). I’ve never eaten in-house and never gotten just a slice. I’ve also never gotten anything like a plain cheese slice, so I can’t comment on the quality of their most simple ingredients or of how they maintain the freshness of pre-prepared pizza. All I can comment on is delivered whole pies piled high and thick with ingredients, and I can say I’ve never had a bad pie or even a mediocre one. Jalino’s only failings are in delivery time and in coupon understandability. I’d say that each and every time I’ve ordered a pizza it’s taken longer than 45 minutes, and usually more like an hour. I live about a mile and a half away and I’m always quoted 30 minutes. The pizza is lukewarm roughly half the time. I guess it says wonderful things about the pizza that it can be lukewarm and still be my favorite pizza in town. So get a load of this ‘offer’: «Buy a four item or more pizza and get a free topping!» Uh, they have separate prices for one, two, three, four, five, and six topping pizzas. So… is anyone ever going to pay for a 5 item pizza? No, they’re going to pay for a 4 item pizza and get the 5th free. So why is there a price for a 5 item pizza? Hmmmmm.(The guys on the phone who take your order don’t get it either. They’ll always try to charge me for a 5 item pizza.) Minus two stars for the cold pizza and the bizarre pricing, but in my book the pizza quality’s perfect.

A solid 3 ½ star pizza joint. Had the lunch special of two cheese slices and a drink. Nicely cooked medium thickness crust, nice amount of cheese, a spice laden sauce. Slices are a little small compared to other«by the slice» joints and a little pricey but not outrageously so. Probably easier to visit when school is out or at least not any time near Boulder High School’s lunch hour(which like the other reviewers mentioned is right across the street). My favorite point of interest at this joint is the old delivery bike in the back with trees growing through the frame.(See pic) Hopefully that’s no indication of the speed of their delivery service :) Thanks Hannah for the steer here!

If you like thick crusted pizza with spicy sauce — this is your place! I am lactose intolerant, so pizza can be kind of lackluster for me. It is more like funny bread sticks, sauce and assorted toppings when I order it so there is always a chance it is going to be insanely bad. However, Jalino’s has set the bar high for all other pizza joints in Boulder. The toppings are fresh and there are a lot of options. Plus, You can order on-line which is very nice! They are bit expensive and have shortened hours when compared to most pizza places, but they have coupons on the website and in the student saver books that you get tons of each semester. Worth getting hooked… trust me!
