Completely satisfied with my experience. I had their chocolate peanut butter fudge and chocolate fudge with nuts inside. It was so rich and flavorful, and fresh which makes it stand out the most. I also got a hot fudge sundae and the chocolate on top was a bit too chewy and hard rather than melted and soft but nonetheless I loved it and would definitely come back for more chocolate goodness!

This place was cute and could probably be good but I have to rate on my current experience. I had a hot fudge sundae. The waffle bowl and ice cream were good. The hot fudge was as hard and chewy as a tootsie roll and the nuts were rancid. Overall it was disappointing. Shout out to the store owner for responding to my review and offering me a free replacement sundae. I don’t live in the area, so can’t come back in, but I do appreciate the level of customer service that showed.

Blows Starbucks’ hot chocolate out of the water! I’ve been in here twice and both times was greeted and given excellent customer service – including a free fudge sample(yum)! Their hot chocolate is to die for and so affordable. Stacie worked with me to get me my hot chocolate fix even when their credit card machine was down during bad weather. You rarely find such good service. Will continue to visit and recommend this place. Can’t wait to try the ice cream!

This new dessert shop is tasty! Boulder has a pretty competitive dessert scene, so it is hard to really stand out in this city. In my opinion, Kilwins deserves to be here. I had their ice cream and I was impressed. Next time I am looking for dessert I will be sure to stop here. One of the other reviews mentioned an untrained staff, and I think that may be true. The staff seemed a bit new, which makes sense since the store is new. I am sure they will learn though.

Their toasted coconut ice cream is so good. It tastes like almond joy! All of the ice creams are made in house. My husband and I came here twice during our 4 day visit to Boulder. We will definitely come back here again.

Best toasted coconut ice cream! I’ll come here every time I come to Boulder! Ice creams are to die for! Awesome customer service also! They gave me a free truffle when I told them it was my birthday!

I happened to see this shop during its first week or so while I was shopping on the Pearl Street Mall. The staff was not very well trained at that point, though friendly. I was not familiar with this midwest chain so I tried some of the fudge options. I purchased 3 varieties and the staff seemed quite confused about how to handle small quantities and I ended up with more than I really wanted. I found that some of the flavors tasted artificial, especially the maple walnut, and this was confirmed when I did a nutrition and ingredient search online of their products later in the day. It is a cute looking shop with pretty displays and some chocolate/caramel aroma since they dip some of the items like the apples on the premises. I did not even see the ice creams in the back on a cold January day but I am guessing they will have customers in the summer when the tourists flock to Pearl.

Pretty cool store just opened up in Boulder, conveniently located on Pearl street. Stopped in just to browse and was excited to see the wide variety of chocolate covered strawberries, caramel apples, and ice cream. It is a little pricey but for gourmet confectionary treats it’s probably worth it :)

Franchise chocolate and ice cream store based out of Michigan. Better to spend your money on a Boulder based confectionary.

I seriously recommend this place. I am a huge chocolate lover and this place is awesome. I’ve tried their fudge, caramels, truffles, caramel corn and ice cream they are all *awesome*, and their hot chocolate is to die for. They are brand new in town. Check them out, you won’t be disappointed!

Note that this review is for the ice cream only. It’s the only thing I tried. I’ve been to the Kilwins in Fort Collins and I was really disappointed with the ice cream but I figured I’d give the Boulder Kilwins a shot. I will start by admitting that I’m a huge fan of Fior di Latte right across the street and I feel like they’ve set the bar high. It’s tough for ice cream that has been shipped from a distribution center from somewhere across the country to compete with gelato that’s made fresh every day. If you think it doesn’t matter because ice cream is frozen, think again. But anyway, I came to Kilwins Boulder on their opening weekend and tried the ice cream. And it’s just not good. Lots of artificial colors and flavors it seems like. And the texture is way too cakey and not creamy. So if you’re looking for ice cream, go across the street to Fior di Latte. Or get off of Pearl Street and head to Sweet Cow if you really want ice cream and not gelato.
