I went to go to this Vic’s because I had work to do and the one in N Boulder doesn’t turn on their internet until 11am because ‘the owner wants to encourage people to talk to one another’. Turns out, this Vic’s doesn’t have working internet. So I’m out $ 8 because neither Vic’s understands why people go to a coffee shop.

Strolled in here on Customer Appreciation Day and discovered that the coffee was free for the day! One might expect the employees to be less than thrilled to be making no sales for an entire day in the service industry. To my surprise the coffee was delicious, made promptly, and delivered with a genuine smile. Service like this explains why the tip jar was overflowing and why I can’t wait to come back next time!

I go here several times a week. The coffee is always good, and the baristas that I usually see are friendly and fast. The baked goods are always delicious!

The colors of the walls and chairs stimulate joy and motivation. I love the layout, the prices, the tea selection, etc. Vic’s offers a modern feel with a stimulating atmosphere. While here, I noticed several business meetings in progress. It’s a great place to work. An upper loft area provides a beautiful view of the mountains.

The coffee is descent and it’s usually a nice quiet place to work. It’s always kept super clean. The baristas have been friendly… for baristas. The wi-fi has been fast every time I’ve been here. [Edited to add] This morning I was the only customer. The wi-fi was not working, so I informed the two baristas who were standing around chatting. They told me they couldn’t do anything about the Internet. So I asked for a refund and left.

This is a convenient stop on my way to work. And although the seating seems a bit limited, I’ve never had a hard time grabbing a table upstairs. Free Wi-fi, very pleasant employees and a good selection of treats. I’m just not a big fan of Allegro coffees, and no Hanuman Chai!

Sadly, the beans are burnt, and both the espresso drinks and drip coffee are harsh and acrid. Not much the baristas can do to fix it. If you like the giant sweetened lattes and mochas from Starbucks you’ll probably be ok here — it is a local business and the service is good.

The coffee is decent BUT the owner is RUDE. I tend to be a conscientious parent of a(sometimes boisterous) 2 year old. I have definitely spent many many days working in the service industry. When my son got excited and was noisy the owner came and yelled from about 10 feet away, «keep it down so some of us can enjoy it down here.» I was completely taken back by the fact that this man did not address me directly or even have the decency to identify himself. I did not know he was the owner until the barista explained who he was. He just griped and took off down the steps. It is hard being a parent sometimes and I don’t need to be verbally assaulted for my 2 year old making noise. This is not a family friendly place or an establishment that I am going to ever give my money too again. The baristas were very friendly. Too bad they work for grumpy old man who has NO social skills when dealing with customers.

This place is very clean, the drinks are well made and not over priced. They also have a nice selection of teas with a little handout, making it easier to make your decision. Some places you go to you either have to squint to see the tea selection or make a guess. The upstairs seating is particularly cool because it overlooks the windows to the outdoors. I would particularly recommend this location if you’re looking for a quieter, cozy coffee shop for a meeting of some kind, like business. It’s very conveniently located on 30th but it’s tucked away at the end of the shopping center with the Office Max, and Petsmart. Therefore I don’t think it gets as much business as the other Vic locations or coffee shops I’ve been to in Boulder making it much more quaint.
