I purchased the $ 20 for $ 10 voucher here on Unilocal. With this voucher, I was able to get a large Tuscan pizza with a drink. The pizza tasted pretty good, but I was disappointed by the size. On the website, it says the large feeds 3 – 4 people. Not true. We are two twenty something females with average appetites and killed the pizza between the two of us. The large size is about the size of a medium at any other pizza shop. I would probably only go back if I had another voucher. A ten buck meal for two isn’t so bad.

This is my favorite go to pizza place in Boulder. They are always nice and accomodating and their pizzas are really good. I’ve tried their calzones, regular pizzas, salads and artisan pizzas. My favorite thing to order is the veggie calzone. There is a good balance of veggies to cheese. The regular pizzas have a lot of fresh toppings and can weigh the pizza down if you get too many, so keep that in mind when ordering. The salads and artisan pizzas are great too. One time I ordered a salad and they didn’t have one of the ingredients, so they let me pick out another salad and increased my order from regular to large. It was really nice and accomodating of them.

We tried zpizza out on a living social coupon. My son has a dairy allergy and we were really excited that they had vegan and dairy free options. He ordered a small pizza with soy cheese and it was awesome! We tried a couple of slices of pizza of the day — the Casablanca, which was also awesome! Why the 3 stars? We ordered a rustic style gorgonzola and pear pizza — but it was really scarce on the toppings. I couldn’t even taste the gorgonzola. The other reason for the low marks was the cost. Taking away the coupon, it cost us almost $ 34 for a family of 4(two small children) for lunch with no drinks and no leftover pizza. And, we left not completely full. So, docking 1 star for consistency and 1 star for being over priced. Tossa Pizza is a similar pizza type place. I felt they were similarly priced… maybe even a little less expensive. And, they aren’t cheap on the toppings. Will I go back? Maybe. The dairy free option is why I would go back.

Ordered online, showed up about 25 mins later. They didn’t even know about the order and told me I’d have to wait for them to make three other pizzas first.

I’ve only tried their pizza — it was honestly good, but expensive! I wouldn’t go there unless I had a coupon(we had a spend $ 10 get $ 20). If you’ve got some extra cash and don’t mind a very casual eating setting give this place a shot.

Ordered pizza from here and went to pick it up. We ordered 2 pizza’s, 1st was a 14″ regular crust with 2 toppings and the other was a gluten free 14″ with 2 toppings. We had a $ 10 for $ 20 deal and still had to pay $ 20. It was $ 40 for 2 pizzas??? Way over priced but the pizza was really good which is why I gave it 3 stars. Probably would not go back without a coupon.

It was OK. Ordered the pear/gorgonzola salad and the mediterranean«Rustica» pizza. The food did arrive quickly. The salad was very tasty, although they definitely skimped on the pear, and the pizza was also good, although nothing exceptional – it came covered in plenty of toppings and«Pili-Pili oil», which was unexpectedly spicy and quite tasty. However, the portion sizes were small – the large salad, while big enough to share, came nowhere near the size of a salad from the adjacent ModMarket, and both myself and my date were surprised by how small the pizza was. Given the ~$ 20 bill, Zpizza definitely loses out in the value department compared to places like ModMarket. Also, the table was very wet when we sat down – I had to go grab napkins and dry it off. Furthermore, they started grinding cheese in the middle of the meal. They did come over and warn us that it would get loud, but I think we were both unprepared for just how loud cheese can be. I mean, we had to scream at each other across the table to be heard. So, +1 for speed, +1 for food, –2 for portion/value, and –1 for ambience = 2 stars.

Okay i will first say why i gave it 2 stars.. I got a pepperoni pizza and I have to say it was prettty darn good. It was pretty good quality pepperoni(not like most places get cheap stuff that just greases up the whole pizza, this stuff gets crispy on top) sauce was good as well. Delivery was fast… why I only gave it 2 stars? well we had some salads with it. In both salads, the lettuce was disgusting looking, Brown, some wilted. pretty much not edible. then the price… we spent about 18.00 for a tiny pizza and even the salads were very very small. i’m probably never eating here again because of this and its sad because its hard to find good pizza joints in Boulder

I dropped into Zpizza as my friends wanted to grabe a bite before a movie at the nearby Century theater. I can’t speak for price because I was fortunate enough to have my amgos order one pizza for us all, but I hear it ain’t cheap. I was disappointed then, when it was merely a «meh» for me, as indicated by my 3 star rating. We went for the classic pepperoni. I will say this-their cheese was top notch, even if it did keep sliding off the crust. Speaking of the crust, I’m not sure what’s in it, but it tasty pretty funky. I can’t put my finger on exactly what I was tasting that made it not-so-good, but I wasn’t impressed. I might come back to Zpizza to try one of their sandwiches, but I wasn’t terribly impressed on my first visit, and there are some better quick casual restaurants in the area.

I’m primarily Vegan, so it can be difficult to find good places that will satisfy my craving for pizza without the cheese. Zpizza totes vegan and vegetarian friendly options with more nutritious ingredients such as whole wheat crust. I had the Tuscan without feta and vegan cheese, and the Berkeley vegan. Both were very good, but the Tuscan was my favorite. My only gripe is that the prices are higher for smaller portions, but that may be because the quality of food is better than other pizza places. Like I said, if you’re veg and are looking for veg-friendly options than it is definitely worth it. The lady at the counter also said they are giving out lots of coupons for buy 1 entrée get 1 free, on the back of King Sooper receipts. So keep an eye out!

We have yet to have their pizza, but we have had pasta and salad here and it was ok. Definitely not worth the price. The ingredients did not seem high quality. The flavor was ok, but we can get much better pasta and more delicious and fresher salads for less money at other places… we will probably give them another shot and try their pizza. The staff however was super friendly!

The pizza here was good, but both times I ordered zpizza, the delivery was incredibly slow. I was told it would be 45 minutes each time and the pizza was delivered an hour and half later each time… My pizza was obviously cold. I definitely won’t be ordering for delivery from them again. And they forgot my drink. Very annoying. Don’t order from this location if you’re hungry!

Made a recent visit to Z Pizza in spite of the less than stellar reviews here and it makes me wonder if there aren’t some scared competitors chiming in because I vehemently disagree. I always read and consider Unilocal reviews before visiting places and have to say that, in this case, my fellow Unilocal-ers would have steered me wrong had I listened to them. Thankfully, a good friend told me about the place and her opinion trumps all others with me. Here’s what I can share from my experience… This is my favorite pizza of all time — ever! And to qualify a couple of things… 1) I’m a touch over 20 so I’ve had a lot of pizza in my time and 2) I do not work here, know them, own stock, plan on buying the place or in any way carry any affiliation to them other than being a very satisfied customer. We ate in rather than carrying out or having delivered. The staff was very friendly(among the best service I’ve seen). We were watching the pizzas being made and can attest that they were absolutely meticulous about the process. Pride in one’s job does show if you pay attention. The choices were fresh and plentiful with enough of the same-olé for those who can’t be adventurous(you know who you are). The wait was as expected for a made to order pizza but the taste was the best… YUMMY! I loved mine(a Mediterranean Rustica) and my much-finickier-than-me daughter loved hers too(a Provence) so I’m having trouble reconciling the discrepancy here in the reviews. I will certainly return and will then know(and share) if my visit was a total fluke or if they truly deserve more love than they’ve been given here. Will I go back? Absolutely!

Not worth the effort or time. My wife and I went to z pizza and were very disappointed the slice pies seemed old and burnt. The management team needs to take a hard look at there product and reevaluate if what they are selling is up to there standards.

Really disappointing pizza. And very expensive to boot. In a town overflowing with better and better pizza of late, wood-fired, organic, neopolitan, country-style, and plenty of serviceable chain fare, a new joint needs to be either more delicious, or a better value, than what already exists. Sadly, Zpizza fails on both counts. The crust was«thin», but not all that thin, as most would describe thin. It was just thinner than thick, but definitely not a traditional thin crust pie. It was not too chewy, not too tender, not too flavorful, not too bland, an attempt, seemingly, to please everyone by being inoffensive, but resulted in a plate of meh. The sauce was similarly devoid of character; no prominent notes of basil, oregano, olive oil, good tomato, or even salt… just a subtle sweetness oddly reminiscent of Chef Boyardee canned sauce from the 1970s(do they still make those?) The cheese, in the end, fit the pattern, regrettably, with it’s lack of flavor. Did I miss my mouth? We all agreed the pies reminded us of many restaurant’s efforts to assemble kids’ menus… food that sometimes looks the part, but is so lacking in depth of flavor or texture, so as to remain sufficiently boring to the pickiest pediatric. Price: An 18″ cheese pizza is actually more expensive than the relatively pricey(but worth it, IMO) Abo’s, a Boulder(and elsewhere) institution. What are they thinking? I wish Zpizza the best of luck, as I know they’ve done well elsewhere. If they were reasonably priced, I’d probably give them another chance, or two. If their quality even approached a Pizzeria Locale, Bacco Mozzarella Bar, Protos, The Med, or even a BackCountry, I would be back in a heartbeat. Boring and ridiculously expensive. Bad combo.

this place is pretty good. the first time, i got a pesto pizza with chicken and veggies. the second time, i just got a regular cheese. their crust is crispy, but in the«oven singed» way– not in a dry sense. the sauce was thin and sweet. not in a negative way, but in the«thin and sweet style sauce» way. it was a little strong, but not enough to effect the pizza as a whole.

Z Pizza is DELICIOUS. I have now tried three of their pies, and all are fantastic. My personal recommendation would be the Tuscan – it has caramelized onions, mushrooms, and truffle oil – simply one of the most flavorful pizzas I’ve ever had. And they have these super rich brownies called«fudgies» which are divine. They also have subs and salads. The veggie sub I had was okay – nothing special. They have creative salads, which are not bad. The most recent one I ordered came with far too little dressing– I should have asked for more. Boulder, honestly, has a pretty weak pizza selection considering it is one of the«food-iest» cities. But this place is worth a shot. They have vegan and gluten free options on the menu, and they are equally tasty. Treat yourself – you wont regret it.

Tried it for the first time yesterday & thought it was good & different than some other places. Had the sausage/mushroom, thought it skimpy on the cheese; but overall not bad. Loved the thin crispy crunch! Will go back & try other stuff too!
