Went to Pizzeria da Lupo one Saturday evening on a whim, and really enjoyed it. Its small, but quaint. We order the carbonara pizza and my husband ordered some wings and it was amazing!

I have to motivated to write reviews and that is why I either give five stars or one stars. First of all, the waiter was on his phone for 10 minutes before he took our order. He then lost the order. The order was retaken by another server. The food came and it was the wrong order. The pizza was almost raw and we did not finish it. The check came and it was also wrong. From start to finish including food quality I would give this an F. This was my second visit. The first was pretty good, the second visit was horrible. By the looks at the other reviews, it looks like this place on the skids.

This is my second visit and my review was just on their lunch. I ordered the lunch special with two slices of pizza and a salad. If you include the price and the service — this really deserves an extra star. But maybe I am being harsh because the food at dinner time during my last visit was exceptional. Both slices came out soggy as if I was heating up left over pizza at home. The salad was fresh ingredients but the dressing was overwhelmingly flavored with vinegar. Service as great and the Ice-T was solid.

Pizza was good. Appetizers were ok. Nothing to write home about. Ambiance was ok. Service was good, staff was friendly. I’d go there for a slice but not as a dinner destination.

This is one of my favorite places in Boulder. We’ve been here numerous times and are never let down. The staff are super friendly and speedy. We always get the Bianco pizza with two eggs and roasted red peppers. It will seriously change your life. The restaurant can get a little noisy when busy but if you get a booth in the back it’s much quieter. I definitely recommend checking this place out!

We stopped here because of good reviews. It was not busy and we had our choice of seats. Unfortunately, the service was very poor and we couldn’t even get the waitress in our section to speak to us(we’re pretty friendly!). She rushed to take orders from two tables sat after us, and never even gave us menus. A waiter from another section realized she was ignoring us and helped us out, but still seemed to be giving her a chance to take over. We asked him if he could help us and we took our pizzas to go. It’s disappointing because we were on vacation and were planning to celebrate with drinks. Now those drinks will be at home. Giving it two stars because the guy that finally helped us was very nice. **Update: the pizza was good. I’ve made it 3 stars. I’m taking it that the problem at this place is either one terrible waitress, poor explanation of sections and responsibilities by management, or both. Good food and at least one good waiter. It just was very frustrating to have her walk past us repeatedly without even looking at us while she helped new arrivals around us. Roll the dice.

Billed as the best pizza in Boulder. Menu in pretentious Italian with no translation. We shared a make-your-own pepperoni and sausage pizza and it was incredible. Great bread, wonderful sauce, amazing toppings. Very thin crust. Unless you like wine or beer, the soft drink selections are all pretentious top-shelf choices but the cream soda was superb. Some of the best pizza we’ve ever eaten.

Absolutely phenomenal pizza and I’ve been to a lot of Pizzerias all over the U.S., including NY and Vegas. Fantastic fresh ingredients and expeditious kitchen service. Best of all, the waitstaff is exceptional. Wendi, in particular, handled a party of 20+ better than I’ve ever seen anywhere. Highly recommended!

Great place. Fun pizza cooked right there in the wood fire oven. Brussel Sprout salad is delicious. Great wait service. Had some good information for us regarding the menu. Will definitely go again.

We are from out of town staying at the Marriott while visiting. Stumbled onto this pizzeria by accident & it was the best accident ever! I have not had pizza this good in my life. They use the best authentic Italian ingredients and brick oven folks! I almost ate an entire medium pizza by myself just savoring every bite of it. I have no shame admitting that. The Calamari also is the best we ever had. It is not fried & it has no breading either. They used fresh garlic and imported Calabria peppers which are very tasty and give calamari a kick. It was exceptional food and service. I was intrigued by the peppers and I asked and the gal told me what they were. When we got home I ordered some of those peppers online in the hope to recreate their calamari recipe. Truly a Pizzeria da Lupo fan!

The wings will change your life. Cooked in the Brick oven in a black skillet to perfection. Service is always prompt and the food even better. Must try the Brussels Sprout salad with a light lemon vinaigrette and walnuts! Perfect and light!

Had the Piedmont pizza which wasn’t great too dry so I’d try another pizza next time. The sausage and peppers sub was amazing though. The peppers were sweet and spicy. It was delicious.

Da Lupo offers the best value for high quality pizza in Boulder. The classic Margherita is wonderful – sweet tomatoes, salty cheese, fresh basil and crisp crust. Two of them will set you back $ 16 and feed 3 people or 2 very hungry people. They shoot for a Neapolitan style but they don’t have the wetness you would find in a true pie from Naples.(Which Italians eat with a fork and knife – sorry Jon Stewart!) Not withstanding this difference, this is very good pizza – especially for Boulder. We found the Marinara pie to have a too pronounced garlic bitterness. The white pie was ok as well. However, it’s hard to beat the $ 8 Margherita pie for when you want quality pizza.

Top notch. As good or better than Pizzeria Locale with a more laid-back atmosphere. Reasonable prices and friendly folks make this a great Boulder dinner spot.

If you are in Boulder you must stop and try the pizza here. It is the best pizza ever. Fresh ingredients made right in front of you. Has a little spice to it. Definitely take the time to arp here

Real pizza! Wood fired oven, traditional dough and tomatoes on sauce — not«spaghetti sauce» like other guys! If you know what a pizza should taste that’s the place to go in Boulder!

To be fair, I’d give them 3 ½ stars, but can’t give them 4. First, the atmosphere and service were excellent. We had a few pizzas, they were good, the crust is definitively a plus, but not great, and for some of them at $ 16 not worth the price. I loved the crust, but I would have enjoyed a little more topping on my pizza, especially if I am paying $ 16, it’s kind of expensive for mostly eating crust. We also had the Brussels sprouts salad, it was good, nothing different from what you get in other places. They told me they had changed the calamari, and I hope they go back to what they used to do if it was good, because this dish was totally off. I am a big seafood fan, so that was a disappointment. The calamari was really under cooked(I asked to cook it more, even though I know it’s tricky, you don’t want it to become rubbery), but there was no taste to that dish, just a few peppers and one leaf of basil on top. I just could not eat it, something was missing, or everything was missing. So a very mixed review for us in the end, not a bad place at all, you can tell they use quality ingredients and want to be a quality pizzeria, they just need to make a few adjustments to become a great place, according to me.

A two week pizza craving led me to seek out the best of the best in Boulder. I tried several places during my 6 month residence in the area; some better than others. I had no luck until a friend brought me to Pizzeria Da Lupo where I was instantly dazzled by the casual yet style conscious atmosphere. They even had a TV that was not overly obnoxious in size but perfect for catching Monday night football during dinner. Our sever, Marc was very friendly and provided excellent customer service. All of the staff was very personable. Our pizza was very tasty and was ready in about 10 minuets and the Endive Salad was great starter for two people. I can’t wait to come back and take advantage of the happy hour and/or lunch specials!

Their pizza is just like Pizzeria Locale but it tastes better and is cheaper, too. Definitely coming back.

Fantastic pizza. We got one with fresh mozzarella and prosciutto. The crust was absolutely delicious — not JUST a vehicle for the stuff on top. I’m not really all that much of a pizza fan, but Pizzeria da Lupo could turn me into one. Great service, absolutely delicious kale salad to start, decent and cheap red wine — I would definitely be back here again, probably too many times for my girlish figure. Which is buried under a layer of lovingly digested pizza, deposited on my ass. Thank you Pizzeria da Lupo ;D
