I’m here every week– the owners and employees are fantastic and kind, and always remember what I order. They’re always up for a conversation, but put the needs of the customers in line first, which is great. The store itself is warm, cozy and clean, and always decorated for the closest holiday. Every drink on the menu is delicious!

Great coffee and location, however each time i’ve been in there lately it seems that a more fitting name should be ‘Flatiron Sauna’ because the thermostat has to be set at 84 for it to be as hot as it is in there. Great staff and ambience, but if every other retail establishment in Boulder can somewhat regulate their heat given the declination of the sun hitting the front of the space, it’s possible here too.

Very cool vibe, relaxing atmosphere(for reading or working) and friendly staff. Bigger than it looks on the outside too! Cool little selection of quality tasting coffee & munchies — should you get hungry. Happy to stop through in Boulder for a cup of joe. The shop isn’t that bad of a place!

The honey pot latte is amazing! The different options here are so unique and delicious. My friend got the hazelnut Nutella latte… OMG! They use real Nutella out of the jar and it’s amazing!

This place is easily one of the best coffee shops in Boulder. Although it may not deserve 5-stars, it deserves a solid 4.5 stars. Here is why it deserves this rating… The staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgable. They give you an honest opinion of their drinks, they tell you what’s popular and what you should get/why. They also work hard to give you a pleasant experience. The food is great. I ordered a vegetarian burrito and thought that it would go through the standard microwave procedure. I was totally wrong, and they went far beyond that. They do in fact microwave it, but they also press it to give it that toasted appearance/texture/taste. It is also complimented with a rather delicious sauce! The drinks are superb. I ordered the hot honey pot latte, and it has a sweet, yet not overwhelming, taste that soothes the soul. As a final note, you can ask to sample their popular ice cap drink if you want to give something new a try without committing to the whole drink just yet. It is good, but not as good as the honey pot latte! ~they also provide dog biscuits if you have a furry friend

Cappucino is alright. Anytime a coffee shop offers a cappucino in different sizes… esp 12 oz. and higher, you know that’s not great

First non-franchised(to my knowledge) coffee place in Boulder. Friendly on a holiday morning. Good coffee. Plenty of space to spread out with laptop work. Great snacks. Highly recommended. And for you coffee-afficiados, they have that pour over methodology. Some new tricks this old dog ain’t learning.

I’ve been a customer here since I moved to Boulder back in 2012 as I walked/biked by every day on my journey to/from work. The staff was always friendly, even at 7am on a Monday morning(I particularly liked to come on this day as the coupons/inserts from the Sunday paper were often still up for grabs in the paper rack) and I really appreciated that they took the time to get to know me even though I probably had the most boring order they had each day I came in(iced black coffee with no room for milk). Flatiron often posts awesome coupons in local publications, most recently buy one get one beverages(which I’m using today with a friend for one Bhakti Chai and one Bluecoat Malware Blaster — which is a quad shot and a snarky comment). Within the past month I’ve begun coming here to do computer work and have not yet had a problem finding a suitable space/table. There is music playing but it isn’t too loud or distracting(today it’s disco music, and I do love me some Donna Summers). There are frequently a table or two of folks catching up/chatting/laughing but I find it nice rather than bothersome. Flatirons as other local shoppes now carry Cholaca(read — liquid cacao, yes, liquid cacao) enhanced beverages. My favorite being the«Crackti»(Bhakti Chai with Cholaca). There are loads of suggested combos but you are welcome to add a shot to your drink of choice for just $ 1.20). Snacks are numerous and I’m always pleased to see an array of Colorado made products such as: Noosa yogurt, Cocomel candies, Chocolove chocolates, and Bobo bars. If you are inclined to ride a bike or park your visit will be much more relaxing as some other reviews have noted the spaces are shared with many other businesses in the same strip mall. I’ll be coming back soon with my computer and a friend or two in tow.

Decaf is on tap here. Coffee is really good, I would rate it on the lighter/sweeter side, and creamer containers were all full! Yay.

Flatiron Coffee has painfully slow internet. I love Starbucks, but try to support local coffee shops whenever possible so it’s frustrating when I try to do the right thing and get stuck with poor internet speeds. If you aren’t planning to use wifi, the coffee is good though. Internet: 802.11g router and speed test showed download of .43 Mbps(so really, really slow)

Looking for a coffeeshop with free wifi to finalize our mountain weekend playlists, we found Flatiron Coffee. The baristas were amused by our indecisiveness and were helpful. Definitely order the Flying V!

I’ve been to almost all of the coffee shops in Boulder with the intention of finding the cup of joe I like the most. Flatirons Coffee has, so far, been the most consistent where good flavored coffee bevs and friendly customer service are concerned. The drinks I order range from Americanos, cortados, lattes, iced coffee — depending on the day, the weather, and let’s face it, my mood. Flatirons brews fantastic iced coffee, and pulls great shots of espresso. I have yet to find the flavor and consistency in the other shops around town. So, as of now, Flatirons is my coffee shop of choice, but I’ll still be sampling the fares at the other shops just to stay on the up and up.

Great cappuccino! The staff is knowledgeable and very helpful and they have a lot of local, Colorado snacks that are offered. One is a granola bar which is really really nice!

What a delight! I am in Boulder for the CAMWS conference, and I had planned to run this morning. I was stymied by cold, rainy weather, and I sought out some local coffee instead. I am conveniently staying across the street from this gem. When I walked into the coffee shop, I was greeted by two friendly baristas with multi-colored hair. They cheerfully served up my coffee and pastry, and then more coffee and a breakfast burrito for two of snacks while I was stuck in due to the snow. Ok, it was a really light snow, but I am from NO, so when frozen stuff falls out of the sky, I am a little disturbed. Overall, the shop is clean, the coffee and food are tasty, and the service is super friendly. Kudos to the folk at Flatiron. I will try to come back and get more coffee before my short stay in Boulder is over.

Best coffee shop in Boulder, in our humble opinion. A newer, friendlier owner; nice baristas, and Coda coffees and espresso. Like another reviewer, we seem to be fans of Kaladi Bros.’ roastings, but don’t discount Coda. They were roaster of the year for 2014! And, they offer healthy slices of Outrageous Baking, gluten-free, nut-free cakes. Check ‘em out, if you haven’t already. A Coda coffee/espresso and an Outrageous Baking zucchini chocolate bread? It does not get any better than that.

It is insanely difficult to find decent coffee in Boulder. I have been searching for even mediocre coffee since August. There have been a few redeeming spots, which I won’t mention out of courtesy, since why mention competitors, especially when I am writing a highly positive review. Here, I have found amazingly good coffee. Coffee where I took a sip and I said«Holy shit.» It’s perfect. The only star off would be for the ambiance of the shop, which is slightly cramped in terms of set-up/feeling. However, the staff were polite and kind, and, let me state again. The coffee is bomb-diggity, kick-ass, top of the list so far in Boulder.

Stopped here because I was in the area and needed to get some quick internet access, and some good coffee to go along with it. The latte was pretty good and flavorful, good taste, not bitter, and was not burnt. The customer service was actually really good, the guy behind the counter was really nice and cheerful. The store was small, clean, and well put together. There were a decent amount of people there when I arrived but sufficient seats and the like moved quickly.

Great coffee! Great staff! A wonderful gem of a coffee spot! I have been coming here for years and have had many friends work here at different times and have seen the business change hands. It still has retained it’s great value, in providing an excellent bean and also many many other«extra-coffee options»(I don’t know if that’s a word but they have a ton of other great options aside from coffee). The staff here has a lot of fun! And there is always something fun playing overhead… I have been in here more than once with a mini dance party breaking out :) haha If your looking for a solid, fun, enjoyable, coffee experience I recommend Flatirons Coffee Shop!

Considering this is probably the most gracious and nice coffee shop staff, I am not surprised their breakfast burritos and coffee match in awesomeness. I addition to to the vegetarian and meat filled burritos, they have scones that looked and sounded delicious. Flavors like peach, raspberry, and chocolate covered raspberry scones grace the the glass box taunting you with goodies that you know you shouldn’t have but end up justifying some way or another in the end. They just go too well with a hot cup of perfectly brewed coffee on a blizzard day. The ambiance, though not necessarily cozy, is conducive for good working. Small intimate tables make it easy to work and stay focused, but also allow for a duo to meet and catch up. Parking is scarce as it is in a strip mall, but once you nail a spot, it’s worth it. The coffee is good. The people are good. It’s all around good.
