I love their steak and white rice! The teryaki sauce is just right too! I usually order the mini steak plate with rice and maccarroni salad. The meat is cooked to perfection! Best Hawaiian food I’ve had in Utah.

Rice was gummy, macaroni salad should be called mayonnaise salad. Don’t understand why you get rice and pasta; too much starch. Chicken thighs were a bit over cooked. Sauces made the meal a little better.

Broke da mout! All the meat is seriously tender. I love the pork the most, then the chicken, then the steak. My husband and I split the ekolu with tons left over. Filling. Simple. Tatsy. Love having a place to slightly connect with my Hawaiian roots especially living in Centerville.

I and a few family members chose to come here to get dinner because we have always loved Hawaiian food, but have not found anywhere close since we moved away. Let me start by saying that the food we had was good. The first thing that alarmed me though was the warm pasta salad. I don’t mean room temperature warm either, I mean it seemed like it had been sitting out all day. I only had two bites and decided not to continue eating it. My family felt the same. The pork also seemed to be below a safe temp, so I only at the chicken. That night every member of the family began to have stomach cramps and felt hot and nauseated, except for one. The family member who only ate rice was the only one who did not get sick. I personally just felt nauseated all night, and thought a few times in the night that I might throw up. Other family members did, and had some other GI issues. Like I said, the food was pretty okay, but not worth that. We are all too afraid to go back.

If you like sweet foods this is your place. This review is hard for me because I’m not a fan of sweet sauces, sides, meats. I much prefer savory. If you like sweeter foods you might like this place.

Pig and chicken mixed plate is the best. Servers are always very friendly too. Besides the long wait sometimes it’s a great place.

For a long, long time, I wondered what all the fuss about this chain was. I have discovered it was because my introduction was via the Salt Lake location. If you want an example of what this cuisine can be, go here. The chicken is tender and juicy, which makes all the difference with Katsu. Their Katsu sauce still sucks, but the teriyaki works well enough with Sriracha, so just use that. I had some shrimp tempura here and outside of a few Japanese restaurants, this is the best version I’ve had. Same with the Katsu chicken, actually. The tempura batter, while not strictly Japanese in tone or flavor, was utterly fantastic and easily the best variation I’ve yet had. They also have a respectable selection on the fountain. Best of all, they either are hiding the scales well or they are entirely absent. Staff was also great. This wasn’t quite perfect — rice needs a ton of work still — but overall, they did an outstanding job and if they get better drink selections and fix the rice issue, this could easily be 5 stars. Never thought I’d say that about this chain, but there you go.

The food was pretty good, but the service was awful. Their menu is unclear and not very descriptive, so we decided to ask for more information on the different dishes. When we got to the front of the line, the guys there were annoyed that we were holding up the line to ask for clarification… there was even eye-rolling! I will never go back there!

Pretty good mouth full. Don’t expect the typical mac salad. This one sticks together like potato salad; not your slippery mayo kind. It’s pretty good. The teriyaki chicken is a thigh char grilled then sauce added. I think the steak is cooked the same way. They have brown rice. …yay! !! I’ll be back to try some of the other selections. The FOOD gets 3 ½ STARS, I Added A star for Service.

Mo Bettah is so good! It took a couple visits before the cravings started to kick in. BBQ teriyaki chicken, steak, and pork with a couple generous scoops of rice will make anyone who likes good food a believer. Check the website for other locations too. I could easily eat here daily. My only gripe is their tragic use of TVs. Don’t get me wrong, the surfing clips are cool and they definitely bring the Poly influence, but it would be so great if they could change the channel to some sports occasionally even if it’s just one of the dozen screens.

I’m only giving them a 2 as opposed to a one because i do like their Teri sauce. I ate here the other night, and will say that most of the tastes were on the mark, but the textures and quality were all wrong as compared to the authentic Hawaiian and Polynesian food i have had in my experience. being that Samoan/Hawaiian food is my favorite food, i eat it a lot, and most of the time made by actual Samoans and Hawaiians, where everyone in the kitchen at this place besides the guy on the register was white. The pork was way to mushy, the chicken lacked flavor unless you doused every bite in Teri sauce and the steak i had was spongy and lacked a nice grilled crisp. One of my favorite things about a good Polynesian plate is the macaroni salad, sadly this one was terrible, it was about 90% mayo and 10% macaroni and other ingredients. It was almost inedible. The worst part of this place happened the next morning… I spent the next 2 days on the toilet and it was comin out of both ends! When i first walked in i was very excited to try it because first of all as mentioned above, i LOVE Hawaiian food, and secondly a friend who lives in the area HIGHLY recommended this place. I was a bit worried that at dinner hour there was no one else in the place, and also that there were only white guys working in there. Then I noticed the grill wasn’t even on and they just had all these bins full of food… who knows how long it was sitting there?.. The portions were very generous, but then it wouldn’t be Polynesian food if it wasn’t, and the prices were pretty good. I was immediately concerned about the overall cleanliness of the kitchen area, which wasn’t messy, but anytime i see someone cutting meat on the small edge area just in front of the fryer rather than on a cutting board it sort of puts be off, and as mentioned before, the fact that everything was just sitting there in big bins rather than being made fresh, and there was a big part of me saying«go somewhere else» and i wish i had listened because the next 2 days were just miserable.

The food was good, but the customer service was a bit sub par. No one at least acted excited to be there, and some lady started yelling really loudly. Although the steak was delicious, and the salad was nice and green.

It’s been a few years since I was last here. They have expanded a bit. Still, no more shave ice? That was one of the reasons to eat here. Other that, the food is still good. Chicken Katsu is worth it. So is the Pulehu steak. Unless you are seriously hungry order your food either in the keiki or mini portion. There is a lot of food on the plate.

This is the best fast food place in Bountiful that I have found to this date. Great size of portions with healthy side dishes to boot. For the price, great value and very tasty food. I should have listened to my friends who recommended it sooner. I’ll definitely be back.

I give this place a five star for a few reasons. The food itself is delicious, fresh, and has healthy options. The food is grilled right there in front of you so it’s super fresh as well. The service is good for what it is. You just order at the front and come up and pick up your food. So no real waitress or waiters. It’s very affordable. If you go with a combination plate for $ 6.50 you can get a choice of meat, salad(lettuce or macaroni), and rice(brown or white). This is easily enough food but if you’re feeling super hungry you cans go with a larger order for $ 9.50. That gives you a ton of food. I would recommend this place to anyone and have to several people.
